Big Boa was definitely a playground favorite back in 1987.
In my head canon that’s Rocky after the Drago fight. Cobra took advantage of his head trauma and recruited him. The helmet hides his identity and relieves some of the pressure from the severe CTE. 😆

Armored Cobra Commander is supposed to come with a removable helmet!!! I sure do hope hasbro pulse doesn't decide to reveal Cobra Commanders face as well that would totally be disappointing!!! Better put some type of a face mask over his head with just his eyes "showing" that would work!!!
Hopefully, if anything, it's a Fred VII head and not the original Cobra Commander. That would make sense...
I don't mind the unmasked head. Makes me wish we got faces for Croc Master, Copperhead, Storm Shadow & Firefly.

This is another guy that I would've liked to have as a retro carded figure. I'd rather have a more updated Classified version without the superhero tights at least. Glad they threw in an alternate head though.
100% with you. Much rather have had the punching bag that the vintage figure came with over the second head. That helmet looks a little small as well. Love the dumbbells though.
I think it shows what a great line of figures the Classified Series is when the biggest criticism is getting something extra! Great review. Hide the non helmet head head in a baggie or use it on another helmeted character or maybe even a black series stormtrooper or marvel legend trooper if itll fit.....! Great review.

Just a add in!!! I'm hoping that you could do some realy old school Joe reviews on the 1980s Joe's kinda like a comparison show from then to now and what changes pulse has made that's not getting to much applause from us old school collectors like myself!!! If your gonna remake Joe and Cobra keep them the same as we remember Hasbro Pulse!!!
I personally will always go for the mask on Big Boa it's more mysterious and more vintage look to me
Big Boa is the last figure I ordered. I put him in the little area in the back of the classified Hiss tank and he looks great in there!
Big Boa came along at the end of my early collecting days, but one that I always liked. I don't mind the helmetless head. It gives him a bit of humanity so to speak. It could also be used on some other bodies to mix things up. I am in on this figure.

This was definitely one where the helmet needed to fit over the head. The helmet looks a little small. I like it over all, and this along with Croc Master were the some of the ones I played with the most as a kid.

Yeah I know it’s been a month but just thought I’d add mine has no leggings wobble. So maybe it’s a case of individual results may vary.

The helmet is smaller than the head. They needed to make the helmet like 10% bigger at least. His helmet gives him a pinhead.
Gloves seem kinda small imo.

And disappointing he didn't come with his standing boxing bag like he did with the 1980s 3.75 figure!!!
Same thing they pulled with DOC didn't add his mortar launcher!!! Hasbro Pulse just decided not to include that with DOC and that takes away from the history!!! My Big Boa is very firm no wobbly anything!!!

I’m the opposite: I hate the helmet. Love the figure though. My favorite out of this wave.
Every figure I’ve gotten in this wave so far has had some sort of looseness …none have been super loose but enough to be annoying
Mine has slightly loose hips. It’s not terrible but annoys me.
Not a fan of this fig but still a pickup for me! Lots of other Joes/Cobras that would have been a better release than Big Boa.
