- In this presentation, first, an introduction is given about the momentum equations. After that, the pressure-velocity coupling problem is presented by discretizing the momentum equation over a one-dimensional uniform grid. This is followed by the presentation of the staggered and collocated grid arrangements. Finally, the SIMPLE (Semi-Implicit Method for Pressure Linked Equations) algorithm is presented in both the staggered and collocated grid arrangements.

how can i calculate velocities on pressure nodes in staggered grid, assuming im using upwind for interpolation to the faces?

Thank you for writing! Note that the idea behind using the staggered grid is to store the velocity and pressure values at different grids. This way we can avoid the so-called check-board problem.

@@CFD_Mojtaba if i am using eos for compressible flow, i need also velocity values where i store pressure. so somehow i have to calculate them.
