FYI..Marcelito Pomoy has no voice lesson or training ground..he just find out when he was still a kid that he can sing both male and female voice..its a real talent that God gave him.
They sing it live in wish bus..but if you want to hear it more live you can watch his rendition of "the prayer" again in americas got talent and the others songs that he rendered their..you will be amazed of how amazing he is.
Actually lots of Filipino singer didnt go voice lesson or training coz they are born to have an amazing voice,
90% of Filipino can sing well and the remaining 10% is proud to be Pinoy lol xd

Self-trained/self-practiced when he was young - perhaps got a professional training when he joined the competition when he was adult (24 yrs old) - and this song was his winning piece in "Pilipinas Got Talent"

Marcelito never been undergone any training or voice lessons..he learnt yo sing like that all by himself..grown in the street and was separated from his family when he was 7 years and live in the street.. he got reunited with his family when he joined philippine got talent way back 2011 and won with his rendition of the prayer💚🇵🇭
He is singing raw, live and unaided by machines other than a microphone.. MP is the man with the golden female voice. He's truly unbelievable and unreal. He's incredible. He never had any vocal training and lessons at all. He lived in the streets since he was 7 years old, orphan. Just don't forget that he's prrforming live, sitting down, effortlessly and no strain is visible in his face. That's how good he is. Please check him out in Americas Got Talent. Watch the judges and the crowd blown away with his amazing voice. Watch all of his performances. He gonna blow your minds guys. Stay safe.

Philippines singers doesn't allowed autotone in their songs.. that's why you must be good to be one of the best singers of the Philippines.. because it is not easy because most Filipinos can sing

All the performances on Wish Bus are being broadcasted on the radio at the exact time the singers are performing.
So imagine at that time Marcelino was sitting there singing, all of Metro Manila, Philippines was basically listening to this live performance on their radio sets. No time for studio enhancements or engineering as this was broadcasted live on Wish Radio's frequency channel.

Marcelito Pomoy started in a very humble beginning so initially he has no vocal trainings or whatsoever.

Marcelito Pomoy is one of the Great and best Singer in our Country.
And When He Started Singing at Such a young age, before he known as One of the Best Singer. His, Talent is natural, and his Singing voice is natural,before he don't even have a Proper training. He already have that Natural voice, since, he was born. He can easily alternate his voice from female voice to male voice. Most of Us, Filipino's can Sing. Either Famous Arstist/Singers or just an Ordinary People.
I guess the vocal coach, need to see the fan video recorded through a phone, no tuning there lol.
Marcelito didn't take any vocal training, he lived on the streets from a young age, earning the equivalent of a dollar per day. He said he’s been singing since he was 7 years old, but it wasn’t until he turned 18 that he realized he could make a career out of it.
Finally found someone with good grammar and spelling. People should first read and check their grammar and spelling before posting. Sometimes, this changes whatever they want to convey. Magtagalog na lang kaya.

This is my opinion as a filipino of “Why mostly filipinos can sing naturally?”
1.karaoke - it’s everywhere even in isolated area in Philippines
2. OPM mostly were ballads - therefore your voice will train to sing high notes and low notes
3.we still appreciate old songs - even the young ones here can sing an old song cause the radio station still play it..my mom says, in old days, before artist release a song, there’s a music doctor to check it unlike nowadays..thats why old music were still beautiful to ears even without too much instruments.
4.Philippine was colonized by many countries so therefore our knowledge in music genre is wide as how our culture is.. from country style, jazz, pop, traditional, and etc.
5. There’s always a singing competition everywhere here just like beauty pageant from small town to cities and even in school and workplace. They have this every year..whenever there is an important gathering..and “tawag ng tanghalan” was the oldest singing competition show here
6. Filipinos just love to sing even others were offtune we still sing everywhere and anywhere.. who cares haha..its our stress reliever..
7. Singing talent preferred more here than dancing so mostly filipino focus on it..but Sb19 can dance and sing.. hehe

Actually in the Philippines you could see a lot of men who can sing both man and women because in some fiesta's (Filipino traditional feast) it has a contest called '' Doble Kara'' literally one body with a two voices within.

To tell you honestly i think Filipinos are mostly and naturally gifted in singing. Even me i won the first prize here in South Korea when i joined the singing contest last 2004. I was the only foreigner at that time. I sang the song of 김혜연(trot song) entitled 유일한 사람. My husband was a korean. He is now in heaven. He loved that song that's why he let me join the contest. Those were the days. Thank you for reacting filipino singers' performance.

BTW, In the Philippines, Singers NEVER LIPSYNC during LIVE show and NEVER USE AUTOTUNE or ANY PLUG-IN to enhance their voices, it's PURE TALENT and CONSTANT PRACTICE. All the Artists singing on the Wishbus are singing LIVE and NEVER USE AUTOTUNE, just a little Reverb and Echo is enough.

We practice singing in karaoke or CD we goes for the song like queens ,or other classic rocks.that's our practice piece.

Lol this is Live no mixing tune whatever he didnt go in training he learn to sing in street (videoke) he was an orphan his father in jail and his mother i guess find another family or work somewhere and he discover himself that he can dual voice which called (double cara)in his teenager i guees as you can see in ph many people can sing super high notes even in street or in your neighbor house thats normal but if you had (double cara) thats your ace lol thats why he joined ph got talent and he won

Belting in the Philippines is very normal for us that all the singers here should have a charisma aside from belting to be special than the other singers here because we really are fed up sometimes that we ended up wanting acoustic indie bands rather than belters. That talent of Marcelito is very entertaining for us because it's really hard to have two voices and he's not the only one who can do that in here. Just going to malls here, you can spot random people singing in a karaoke inside an appliance section.

Honestly, Most of the Filipinos have not undergone vocal training when they were younger as it is expensive. Thus, they learn through home karaoke and experiences like amateur singing contests.
What marcelito pomoy's doing is natural, it's one of a filipino's talents.that way of singing is used by our filipino,and it's what we called doble cara,usaully gays are good on it but marcelito pomoy is born with it

Well, he didn't get any vocal coaches nor training... He lived, at the age of 7years old, in the streets of the Philippines without parents and was struggling day for day for living... Yes, maybe you can train those voices if you can afford the vocal trainer BUT in case of Marcelito: he is blessed by God with his voice. Thanks for sharing the video.
No, in the Philippines we only practice singing if we are joining a contest but we don't put so much time on practice as there are much more important things to do (our parents would scold us if we spend so much time singing). Also, most artist did not go to any vocal training school because its impractical and too expensive, most can't afford it. It's either you have the talent or you don't that's it.
