Look at Charles Parsons took out his first patent on this engine in 1877. But I used a modified version of a Russian engineer Balandin. My 4-cylinder engine 2T In = 700cm N = 60 ps n = 5500
cloud3907 can you plz explain or make another video on this engine cause I need 2 airplane engines and this is the perfect size and I need to build 2 or buy them cause I'm gonna start to build an airplane
Can you post some more info about this engine? is it a radial configuration? It looks like a two stroke. What are about the numbers V,N and n?Thank you.
All of the radial engines i had seen until now have odd numbers of cylinders. such as 5,7,9... but now it is four cylinders. Can you please tell me the reason? please.
Odd numbered Radial are most commonly four stroke engines, the odd number of cylinders is to keep the engine running smooth because of each cylinder taking 2 full crankshaft revolutions to fire. The odd cylinders prevents spacing in power strokes. Since 2 stroke engines fire every revolution, there is no need for odd cylinder numbers. The engine in this video would be the equivalent to a 7 or 9 cylinder radial.
@@TomTreeMan No connecting rods? now I am really confused. How does it pressurize the crank case to provide a flow through the bypass ports. Do all cylinders fire at once like the two cylinder two strokes?
Perhaps cloud3907 has a different answer but my understanding was that the friction caused by the lateral forces exerted by the piston (or sliders as incorporated in iterations of this design) on the cylinder walls made this design inefficient and impractical for mass production use?
Четыре цилиндра да ещё без коленвала, это мощь!!!💪💪💪👍👍👍

is the prop spinning slow or is the frame rate of the camera just causing it to appear this way?

Radials usually have an odd number of cylinders. What kind of firing order works for this?
Странно, система зажигания не дублирована
До каких оборотов раскручивается этот мотор?
Где можно почитать про этот двигатель?
no expansion chambers?
How is the induction system arranged please? I presume it has a separate air compressor.
looks like it runs on four amal carburettors without any supercharger.

daniel202; thanks a lot, I understand it!

It doesnt have anh connecting rods so the cylinders have to be opposed, cant do that in odd numbers

frame rate of the camera
I figured it spin faster for a two stroke radial. Speed up the frame rate!!!!!!
Does anyone know why the Balandin engine did not succeed? What are the pro's and con's?

Where i find more information about this engine?
I have only detailed information.
There is not maximum speed.
