Meanwhile Nyjah does the same tricks over and over scoring 9’s is very questionable. I’m still glad Jagger won though but that and the nollie 180 fakie 5-0 should’ve been 9’s at minimum
How do you give Kelvin a lower score for the kickflip bs lip, when he did it before anyone else did? Is it because he showed up Midler? Didn't Nyjah do the same, though? Seriously, what is going on with the judging lately. The berrics, and now SLS. Well, then again, they totally robbed Tiago on the uphill 50-50 in some other competition. Hopefully it's not a trend against brazilians, or just the continuing nyjah trend. edit: I see now that nyjah went from the kicker which is a 2ft longer gap. I figured out the formula to win....there's a few different ways you can go about this 1. Nollie to switch trick 2. Switch to nollie trick 3. Flip trick to switch type grind 4. Any spin trick to switch type grind (180, 270, 360, big spin, cab, etc) 5. Do a huge switch type flip trick over a gap
Mike V is a legend , I love that he has a new shoe! We grew up using Nike hitops , I remember cutting bike tube squares and gluing them as Ollie patches. It worked great for Converse much better than ductape.
Giving Jagger a 9.6 on his 1st run, the 1st run of the contest, telling everyone who was gonna win at the very beginning of the contest. They gave Shane a 9.5 to make up for the last contest. (Desreved.) But the best, the kicker, was Kelvin's kick flip gap to back lip was an 8.8, and Nyjah doing the exact same thing was a 9.2. Both executed perfectly, so where's the 0.4 coming from? Until now, the judges have made some questionable calls, but I've given them the benefit of the doubt. No more. These guys are whack, and need to find some consistency in their scoring. They deserve the hate they get.

@Michael Espinoza Nyjah went from FURTHER back actually if you go back and watch.... I was punching the air and went to record it BUT turns out they went from different spots.... Hence why both are Goofy I believe and Kelvin went on what is our lefthand side and notice Nyjah went on the other side of the course because he went from further back.
I’m not a skater but have been watching SLS for about 10 years and think Jagger Eaton is the most exciting new face on the scene since Nyjah. He’s had an amazing rookie season. He’s killed IT and looks like he’s having the most fun.

Monster Run Timer says three seconds until self destruction
Yeah they set it up for him to still have a chance. Those last 2 tricks from Jagger should have scored higher imo
Kelvin did gap flip back lip to forwards and got an 8.8, nyjah did exactly the same trick and got a 9.2
but cleaner??
@@therongustafson naw
É que o do Nyjah foi mais longo, pelo ,pelo menos foi o que o comentarista do sportv falou,
Vamooooooooo Brasil
Nyjahs was harder, he did it off the kicker. Geoff was talking about this. The scores this time weren't to bad.
That was super rad to watch, thanks for all the hard work on the production team. ❤️❤️
Eaton: best run, most consistent, most psyched, hardest tricks, underscored on last 2 tricks, deserves win 1000%
sls fans: FuCKin bRo thIS iS sO UnfAir
Just before the haters say: I agree that Rabelo’s last trick was underscored but I thinks it’s pretty clear Eaton deserved the win.
That my be all well and good but Eaton has no style, just looks like he’s trying to be the white Nyjah
@@PryorSebastian ??? lol
@@bv6377 ?? What style is part of it, and the judges to take it into account. If I were to judge I would mark down ever time you get off your board at either end of the course, imo if you hop off your board and reset your run should end.
@@PryorSebastian yeah style matters... Jagger should work on that.
when skaters go for broke like lucas did at the end, the score should be higher
Congrats to Jagger but Rabelo should have gotten the top spot
So true.
Nossa estou tão feliz pelo Lucas haaaa foi Demais parabéns
Era pra ele ter ganhado sacanagem ele mandou muito melhor na final, infelizmente os Americanos não sabem perder então fica pra eles como sempre.
Somebody gotta stop calling Dew Tour judges lol
Nollie 180 to switch back smith is an 8.9???
Fucking unbelievable. The switch back smith was sooooo exceptionally proper. My jaw dropped and slammed back up to my teeth after seeing that score.
I was bummed that wasn’t even a nine.. couldn’t have been done any better.. and it looked really cool!
I agree with you both. I haven’t seen that done before, ever, and for it to be executed perfectly on a weird metal hubba, 2nd try in a huge contest like this and only get an 8.9?
Still... gap to anything is harder from flat imo.
I hear you but i think maybe it came down to board control and smoothness on the trick? Two people can do any same trick but ones gonna have it cleaner, bigger, more tweaked.
@@maxnuccio2440 Kelvin's kickflip back lip was perfect. Nyjah shoulda gotten the same score as Kelvin in my opinion.
Lmao midler shoving the camera guy telling him to watch out 19:13

Nyjah: kickflip back lip-9.2

Kelvin - flat to gap
Nyjan - kicker to gap

I don’t ever watch sports but Professional Skateboarding is the only exception 🙌
Do you skate?
@@bewatermyfriend7355 Not anymore, I did growing up in middle school but never progressed further than doing a varial flip on flat land 😂 I can appreciate how difficult skating is. I was also on high school soccer, football and basketball teams but I don’t find watching those or other sports nearly as entertaining as skateboarding. Skating just feels like there is so much more on the line 👀
If Jagger wasnt eaton before he definitely eaton now..
Congrats man!
Lol!!!
U on point bruh😂
we need the old format back, best trick shouldnt take up more of the contest, considering best tricks been pretty mid as of late smh! re-add the two 45 second runs this format aint it. Or look to the Dew Tour, their formats have always been perfect for Street Skating
Sls Kinker hubba best trick contest was sick!!!
Jagger Eaton's run/tricks:

32:40
49:00

"Watch out bro watch out!" Dude, youve already bailed 3 times im pretty sure me standing here doesn't matter.
If it was soccer he would get a yellow for that
Lucas was robbed on his last trick, but so did Jagger on his Nollie 180 to switch back smith... In the end the scores balanced themselves, in a way. I'm really happy for Lucas, he skates insanely good for a rookie. A rising star!
Congrats Rabelo! You should ve won!
Disagree, though he was sick. I thought Eaton earned that one.
Yeah, disagree also. I think he didn't get the score due to repetition. 270 in to all of his tricks. Amazing skater and amazing tricks, but Jagger deserved it.
Needed more variety, all 3 were the same front 3 to slides. Should've done a gap to back noseblunt but even then idk, Eaton deserved the win this go around.
No
My hats off to Kelvin doing a no Comply in his run lol man that’s awesome 😎 that trick gets so much hate but ironically no comply with all variations is my favorite 😂 that’s awesome 😎 😂
I was psyched to see that too! And he was hammering big tricks and tricks on every transition. I felt like most of the guys just focused on tricks on the big middle obstacles. A good run needs flow and tricks all over the course imho.
@@maxnuccio2440 right on , it doesn’t really surprise me Jagger won that dude can handle competition pressure like 👍🏻 crazy lol the dude was mega ramp skater 🛹 lol
nijah flip board 9.2, Kelvin flip board 8.8 ?????????????????????????????

God I hope not! He did the same exact tricks he has been doing for 3-4 years, same exact ones he did in Salt lake. I knew everything he was going to do before the contest even started. He is better than that.

Rabelo representou! 🔥
Jagger with the first line to start the comp was insane. Entire comp was insane 😖
That was a huge contest. Again pretty impressed by the level especially from Jagger. Unbelievably good!
But the Nollie 180 Switch B's Smith and the Overcrook definitely should have scored higher. But that's my opinion. :D
I think so too.. great-looking innovative tricks! Deserves more rewarding scores.. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any of them and I’ve followed skateboarding for the last 21 years..
agreed also the fs 270 switch bs was ridiculous and it got underscored
Bringing something new should count a little extra. Nyjah does the cab nose blunt every contest. Kelvin does cab back tail every contest. Fs nollie back smith is SLS NBD, plus really, really amazing so it should be in the 9's for sure.
@@jasondashney he's gonna do that trick in every contest for next 10 yrs
Facts
I think that a run score should have to be included in crowning the number one skater on the planet.
Scoring was wayyy better than the last events.
Not really. Kevin and Nyjah did exact the same trick and Kevin did it cleaner and he got scored lower.
Also Rabelo got robbed he deserved the win
@@patrickwa9235 Nyjah did it off a kicker, Geoff was explaining during Midlers turn how much harder it is. The judges did very well vs how bad it was the last event. Jagger definitely performed better then the rest.

Watch out bro, watch out!
Milder was gettin sooky lol
Lmaoo when Midler pushed the camera dude
Insane! Great skateboarding from all competitors! Jagger's on FIRE
I figured out the formula to win....there's a few different ways you can go about this
1. Nollie to switch trick
2. Switch to nollie trick
3. Flip trick to switch type grind
4. Any spin trick to switch type grind (180, 270, 360, big spin, cab, etc)
5. Do a huge switch type flip trick over a gap
Top 3 are amazing skaters! Well deserved! Making it hard for Nyjah to win now!
awesome competition. i just love to see nyjah in sls comps
Rowley is the best thing that has happen to SLS,
Amazing skateboarding from O' Neill & Eaton. Keep skating!
Did they get new judges or what?
Mike V is a legend , I love that he has a new shoe! We grew up using Nike hitops , I remember cutting bike tube squares and gluing them as Ollie patches. It worked great for Converse much better than ductape.
Damn jagger makes nyjah look like a real humble guy....
Forreal
right, he is nü-jah
jagger eaton winning the super crown.. unreal - skateboardings become something of a phenomena..
Only difference with nyjah and kelvin trick was nyjahs kicker was from abit further back but 100% agree, judges are whack
You are 100% correct sir
So nice to see that competitors are supporting each other and there doesn't seem to be animosity among rivals

7:05 I looove how amped the crowd is for this score! That's so awesome. Mad love for killer runs in these sports haha. Cheers from Tampa Bay 🌴
Lucas Ravelo won the contest ... the judges are crooks ... skateboarding should not be politicised like this
Don't be salty that your boy didn't win
Skateboarding has been immune to politics and ethnicity bias since it’s inception. What makes you think it would start now. Get your negativity out of here!
Dope skateboarding, but how is this not in HD?
Also, bring back the 2 run format please
I'm. Just glad Huston didn't win. I know the judges wanted it that way
@Michael Espinoza Nyjah went from FURTHER back actually if you go back and watch....

Alex said to the camera "watch out bruh watch out" I was dead 😂
Bro Gustavos No Foot Movement Switch Flip in his run though! No foot movement! Literally just jumped, board flipped by its self and landed perfectly, all without moving his feet! WHooo!
MIDLER IS RIDICULOUS

I would have love to seen in this at a higher frame rate and quality.
No coincidence the biggest sponsor of this event had 3 riders in the final…..
say it with your chest
Just 3?
You're acting like the contest was rigged, companies like carium and Nike are sponsors of the best skaters in the world of course some of their pros are going to be in the finals
4.
Ribeiro, rabelo, hoeffler and eaton
31:36 they look like a fuvking Tag-Team or something. So hilarious.
Thanks for the streaming! Would love more than 720p though but still love SLS
Damn, the one run-runs has really grown on me. Adds so much pressure! Still fingers crossed that you guys stop removing the bottom four, because it's always a lot of fun with a comeback
I think it takes pressure off cos you dont have to put down a consistent run and risk some harder tricks in the run to get good points. Alost always the run score gets dropped. No reward for consistency or risks.
I don't understand how so many bangers in a run can score lower than the same tricks in single trick section, ie tre 50 from Dashawn. Good to see the first 2 finals runs getting proper scores
its amazing what someone can do when your mom or dad are there for you to help you through what you love.
Even without your parents you can accomplish the same

it's crazy the fact that this was just 1 year ago.. now the competitions are so much harder and strict..
RABELO should've won, those last 2 tricks were absolutely incredible and got so low score
