And another MLP movie that is supposed to be a theatrical release that’s purpose is supposed to be a connection point between G4 and G5. So yeah, they may be on something, but it somehow is working.
Well, MLP is mostly Slice of Life, but the two-parters frequently venture into fantasy adventure, as do the later seasons. The characters are all likable and relatable, even to adults. Even the world building is really intruiging if you're willing to put thought into it. Its weak point is the story however. The episode plots frequently center around teaching lessons and the tight production schedule between seasons meant not all concepts could be entirely fleshed out. But it did run for 9 Seasons for an entire decade. I'd say it's worth it.

Agreed. As long as you don't go overboard like *_some_* people (which honestly gets kinda creepy), it's actually very well-written, with really good production values and a lot of highly enjoyable and entertaining episodes. I highly recommend it.

When they say G4, they're talking about the fourth iteration of the franchise, the first being back in the 80's. This video came out after the first season, but the show actually lasted for 9 seasons (first on The Hub, then later on Discovery Kids), and also included a few specials, a theatrical film, and a spinoff straight-to-video series with alternate versions of the characters in high school (their attempt to cut into the Bratz and Monster High demographic). The sheer amount of fan work is insane, and it was the starting point for some fairly popular UA-cam stars, such as voice actor Nowacking (Team Four Star's FF7Machinabridged) and musician Living Tombstone (collabed on Hazbin Hotel). It might be an interesting show to react to, actually. The show's a who's who of cameos in the background, season four ends in a DBZ-style beam battle, and Weird Al shows up a couple times as a pony but basically just playing himself. Just a thought
Dont forget Black Gryph0n AKA: Gabriel Brown. He was a Brony as well, wrote a bunch of songs, did some background singing work for one of the movies and Now he voices Alastor in Hazbin Hotel.

For the cannels that My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, aired on, they were The Hub (Hasbro operated), and later rebranded Discovery Family, when the contract ran out. Show ran from 10th of october 2010, to the 12th of october 2019. If I remember correctly, seasons 1-8 could be found on netflix, and season 9 on hulu.

5 months late to the party, but to answer your questions around 6:20, seasons 1-8 are on netflix. Final season isn't released there yet, though it aired about a year ago. IF you're still interested. It was never meant to be as big a deal as it was, but the unexpected fandom BLEW expectations out of the water, and they ran with it! 1st season is pretty slow, but by S2, things start to get REALLY INTERESTING.

I came here to catch up on the last couple RWBY reactions I've missed and saw this. I've only been a brony for like a year and a half now. I've been a RWBY fan since between V4 and V5. MLP FIM and RWBY are my two favorite animated series, maybe even of all time.
It is a shame that you don't plan to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Generation 4 was a great series that was popular with all age groups but, surprisingly, had huge support from people from mid-teens to middle age. Honestly Starscream was only allowed to live because 1) Megatron finds him useful for staying on top by constantly challenging him. 2) occasionally he manages to have a genius idea, and 3) Starscream isn’t a complete suck up yes man. You need people close to question your ideas to be successful.
"G4" means "Generation 4" of MLP. You had the First Gen which was the 80's line, second Gen which got a bit more modern, third Gen.... we don't talk about and the Friendship is Magic is fourth.
So g3 is like Kiss Players to the Transformer fans, we don't like talking about it and most fans that know about it either try to repress memories of reading it or warn others not to try them.
To bad they never did discord in one of these battles because he is the god of chaos who with a snap of his fingers can change reality around him to what he wants just to amuse himself.

I feel like this exists for the death battle creators to say "hey there, you want to know how much Starscream sucks? He can't even beat a fucking Pony!" And yes I know Rainbow's a very powerful pony but still!! When someone asks who would win in a fight? A giant robot or a pony? The robot should win right?!?!?

Starscream vs Rainbow Dash was originally going to be another joke battle. Since the premise was literally a transformer robot vs a flying pony. But fortunately for Rainbow Dash, she was apparantly far more powerful than Death Battle initially thought.
Yep, and this was during Season 1! In Season 2 she can literally create a fucking NUKE, and the Death Battle crew said if she had that ability when they made this death battle, she would've won much quicker.

I came here to catch up on the last couple RWBY reactions I've missed and saw this. I've only been a brony for like a year and a half now. I've been a RWBY fan since between V4 and V5.
MLP FIM and RWBY are my two favorite animated series, maybe even of all time.

It is a shame that you don't plan to watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Generation 4 was a great series that was popular with all age groups but, surprisingly, had huge support from people from mid-teens to middle age.
Odds are, if you started reacting to MLP:FiM, you'd become a brony and mlp would become a huge part of your channel.

Honestly Starscream was only allowed to live because 1) Megatron finds him useful for staying on top by constantly challenging him. 2) occasionally he manages to have a genius idea, and 3) Starscream isn’t a complete suck up yes man. You need people close to question your ideas to be successful.
