This is a very nice idea. I appreciate the added insulation. I hate the thought of a rod clacking around plastic to graphite (or glass). I will make a few of these
@marcterrazas4713 doing research now to build one of these this weekend. You are the only one I have seen using insulation on the inside. Is it working out? Anything you would do different?
The insulation is nice but it can be kind of snug, I would slice a larger section out of the middle to give the rod more room but it keeps things from rattling around which is nice.
It can be difficult if you have too much insulation but that is a relatively easy fix, otherwise it's about a 15 second process to take your time and be careful. I'll take a video but it may take a while.
