I use a similar composter for food scraps as I do not want to attract any more wild animals than I already have. It takes much longer to compost as the contents freeze solid in winter. I leave it about a year and have been pleased. Important to cut the peels and skins us up small before putting them in.
I was curious to see if your results were any better than mine but it doesn't appear so. I bought one and tried it for two years before finally calling it quits. I ended up giving it away. A simple wood compost bin in the corner of the garden, turned occasionally, works much better.
Agreed, results are not that impressive. Although I would always forget to turn the pile in a simple compost bin, the tumbler makes it easier to turn. This year I'm trying to see if using a paper shredder for the browns does the trick. Will post a video if I get a good result.
I am no longer use toilet paper nor paper towel tubes composting orf or gardening (as seed starter cup/tubes) bc toilet paper has forever chemical added and paper towel has bleach and formaldehyde. I dont know if Canadian toilet and paper towels are different than the US ones.
Compost Starter would be good for this as it speeds up the decomposing in a natural way. 2-3 weeks vs. 2 months (or so they say). I just put mine together this morning. Thank you for your video.

Yes, that is why I am using it as well, to avoid any animals getting into it 😊Thank you for the tips !
it takes long, however I pick worms from my garden beds and add them to speed things up.
Thats good to know.
Great video - we are thinking about getting this model also.
Thank you. Glad it was helpful. 😊
