You never disappoint Chad! Since working with you and Will I had to go deeper which subsequently created deeper and more impactful dialogue. Thank you! Thank you!

Thanks for citing those studies. I didn’t realize that a “are you planning to…” question could be a call to action in disguise. I notice that with volunteers all it takes is a specific, personal request for help and they jump into action. When asked “why didn’t you volunteer before?”, they say, “nobody ever asked me”.

Action is just an ask away, Lisa! Thanks for connecting on here. Always nice to "meet" here in the comments.

What a great short video Chad! And I love the concept. I am working on a workshop on Decolonizing Camp structure and programs. And this is such a great tool!

Wow! What a topic. I've been talking to some global health folks about "decolonization" lately. It's in interesting dialogue! Curious to know how it is being applied in your camp world.

Great video tips to spark conversations! Paired with your ideas from previous videos of starting questions with What and How, makes these ideas so much rich! Great content. Specially as we move back to in-person events, developing conversations standing in front of others is crucial!

Sure! I manage a volunteer program, and lately I've been pinging those who haven't helped in a few months in a row, "Are you planning to volunteer this spring?" and then include a list of art courses that aren't assigned to a volunteer yet. It helps get them filled! I like this approach rather than saying, "Hey! You haven't volunteered in four months. Are you coming back or quitting?" Yuck! This is way better!

A question invites a choice. An exclamation point seeks to cajole. Perfect example. Thanks for sharing, Jenna!

This is great! I think I'm going to reframe my course registration reminder emails to include "Are you planning to register for the upcoming semester?" Thanks for the tip!

Beautiful! So curious to see if you notice a change-anecdotally or in the data.

You have such a zen office. Not a virtual background, right? Great questions, btw, Will be trying these out.

So Chad, are you planning on visiting Australia any time soon? (see what I did there :-) )

Chad I love your videos! I would love to cite the stat that kids 3-5 yo ask 300 questions and adults ask 10-12 questions per day. Can you direct me to this info?

For sure. The full research for this is cited in Chapter 2 of Ask Powerful Questions. And the endnotes have all studies we included as well. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I haven't memorized all that info haha, but you'll find it there. Free excerpt which MIGHT contain the endnotes here too: weand.me/free/ Can't remember if those are a park of the free book excerpt on that page.
