I think the problem wasn't really the pastor or whatever, but that Tom just brought it up to Jax on the side, talking to him like a friend should be able to; and then Jax decided to go to Brittany, seeing that she was already upset, and further aggravated her with this topic. That seems pretty narcissistic to me, and is kind of a bad omen for their relationship/communication. Not that there was much hope for either in the first place.

1 that wasn't the time 2 it wasn't necessary. The issue had been dealt with and there was no need to have Tom or Ariana asking questions 2 weeks before the wedding. They had 6 months to address it and show their concerns.
Of course Ariana and Tom would be upset about Brittany and Jax's pastor is making antiLGBTQ+ statements, Ariana's Bi and JUST came out as Bi. Plus SÜR, TomTom, Villa Blanca and Pump are in the heart of West Hollywood - basically one of California's major Gay Villages. As a business owner, with Lisa Vanderpump as a partner, having ANY connections with such a vocal antiLGBTQ person would reflect on Tom Sandoval, and would hurt Ariana deeply. I think that Jax and Brittany were purposely being naive, because if they didn't see anything, they could claim innocence! They're just upset because Tom and Ariana called them out on their BS, and they don't like what they see in the mirror!!
