Good video, but IPv6 settings too should have been included.

I thought about it, but it would made the video longer and confusing for some users, considering that IPv4 is still best for home use. In the future, I may make an IPv6 dedicated video. Thanks,

What effect does this have on the speed in general and why do we need to change the DNS address? would it provide better ping performance for games?

Like I said on the video, you don't need to and it's best to update the router settings, instead of Windows. However, sometimes, those DNS servers from your ISP can be super slow or you may not trust them, so in those reasons, you can change the settings on Windows. It's hard to explain until it happens to you, but for example, usually, you type a domain in the address bar of your browser, and the page loads almost instantly. This is how it supposed to work, but what if after a while, you're start to notice websites timing out or taking too long response and load? Although it could be a problem with the internet or the networking equipment on your home, it could also be unreliable DNS servers. Sometimes, the DNS servers from your ISP can go down, it's rare, but it happens.

What are the disadvantages of not putting on Fall back to plaintext?

In the rare case that DoH has problem encrypting the traffic, DNS may stop working because you didn't tell the system to fall back to plaintext. In other work, you specifically said to work only when encryption is working. Thanks,

@@Pureinfotech Gotcha, thanks!!! but, Fallback to plaintext only works when DoH has problems right? like it wouldn't use plaintext and show my Dns queries at all unless DoH has issues? I haven't been using Fallback to plaintext for years and I do notice some Dns issues, like images wouldn't load.
