Gaines’ Mill was the genesis of John Bell Hood’s ill-advised assault at Franklin TN that all but wrecked the Army of the Tennessee. Hood’s success in breaking Porter’s line that day with the Texas Brigade convinced him of the wisdom of frontal assaults on a fortified line. Bad lesson indeed.
It might be because they are classified as separate engagements, and that, if you are aiming to follow the course of the Union army's retreat in the Peninsula Campaign, you would need the specific battle sites. Having said that, the series of engagements and battles are all shown in a single video entitled "The Peninsula Campaign" by the same production team.
Whites in the South doing what they’ve done twice. Fight against the USA. They were British sympathizers and fought against the US during the Revolutionary War. In the Civil War they fought against the US in order to continue the atrocities being committed against other human beings in order to own them and benefit from their labor. The Deep South is still a cesspool of losers who don’t realize they lost two wars. Pathetic heritage I’d say.
StahlBlitz oh I understand them quite well thank you. As a white guy who grew up in Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana with great grandparents from West Virginia I know plenty. Talk to the 🤚!
StahlBlitz the Union wasn’t invading anything we didn’t already own as a country. The secessionist states were attempting to break up the birth of this nation over the misguided notion they should able to own people as livestock. Anyone who supported such diseased thinking needed to be stopped from participating in the Great American Experience of our own emancipation from Britain.

Interesting take on Hood's developing mindset, something Lee also had a bit of. Malvern Hill and Gettysburg are two.
why did you split all these into separate videos?
That's what I'd like to know, too! Good stuff, but all separated up like this makes me want to find something else to watch!
Viewer count of course. $$$$$$$

Ah yes, the entire 20 seconds of the barely animated battle map
You gotta love Robert E. Lee and the Army of Northern Virginia, the greatest Americans of all time fighting for their homes and their property rights.
do you call slaves property?

@@danielleite7271 Ignorant. Robert E. Lee never owned any slaves. Neither did any of the common soldiers.
