The infamous song that should have been in the Top Gun soundtrack...great track!
Beautiful guitar by the way.
Yes! Just what I wanted. Would love to see details on the solos in future too.
OMG! This little-known song is one of my all-time favourites and is a perfect mix of heaviness with melody. If only Priest had allowed it to be featured on Top Gun this song would be a multi-platinum hit. Also includes one of the most beautiful solos by Glenn Tipton that shows speed can be soulful and melodic.
I've watched 4 of your videos today - Dokken, Saraceno, Crue, Priest - and we are *soooo* on the same page musically. Especially as you choose songs that are amazing bit overlooked - songs that aren't covered too much on UA-cam. You're up there with my other fave channel - the little-known Kick Ass Rock Guitar who was the first on UA-cam to perform Marty McFly's Power Of Love audition from Back to the Future.
Awesome thank you sir! Can’t wait to learn this one.
Astounding man, thanks for teaching this overlooked great track….
Thanks!!
gracias, loco!! saludos desde Argentina
Hah great pick. I recently bought the Turbo original LP, not many Priests fave. But my only fave really. This riff reminds me of Atomic Playboys - Steve Stevens
What sound is he using? Sounds great
It’s my Line 6 HELIX. I created a preset based on a Marshall JCM800. Full details (and preset for HELIX users) available here for Patreons - www.patreon.com/posts/62103941?
Second part?
Are your helix patches compatible with HX Stomp?
I'm not 100% sure, some of the patches I've created use more than 6 blocks which IIRC is the max the Stomp can use but on the Patreon group you do get the tone research and info on each block, its settings etc. and how to create a patch (as well as the any relevant EQ IR). HTH
Great job. That’s one of my favorite priest songs. My favorite off of Turbo for sure
