I can't thank you enough for your videos!! You explain everything so well! The pace of your videos is spot on. I appreciate you sharing your experience and knowledge 😊
This looks awesome!!! I’m surprised we have yet to use a zoology curriculum yet!!! We are excited to do this unit after we’ve finished the titanic unit!!! We love the faith talk and recently enjoyed doing it separately!!! I love that it includes our wildlife and I’m passionate about debunking Aussie myths about them!!! Ppl here hate our awesome wildlife!!! I love the core connections even though I get attitude with it but I feel like it’s easier learning for my kids!!!
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife I have two older boys too (12 and 14). I really want us to do campfire together, but they already have plenty of work and I don’t want it to seem like I am just adding more. Hopefully we can find a balance because I really want to try these out. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for the flip through. My daughter wants to learn about different animals and thought this would be perfect. I wanted to see what animals would be covered so I could plan when to add the others she wants to learn specifically.
Thanks for the flip through - this looks amazing! How do you incorporate both CC and GRH units in your academic year? Pick and choose based on your son’s interest and what’s available?
Thanks for watching! We usually alternate between the two. Right now, they are based on interest. For high school, I will close certain units that will meet our high school requirements.
What a neat unit study. I really need to look into Campfire. They have a handful of unique unit studies. I just don't know if I can squeeze in one more thing this year. 🤔🌻
Thanks for sharing, I think I am going to do this one before the Titanic one. It looks like my kids would love this one better. Where is the best place to print? We have found that we like paper better than Ipad reading. My staples is so expensive.... thank you.
How long does it take to complete a unit? It sounds like there are 12 lessons; is it a lesson per day? Do you spend a month or 3 months to complete it? I know this likely varies but I'm curious to hear how many units you do in a school year? Thanks!
We typically do one lesson a day. If I notice that my son is losing interest, then we will do the rest of the lesson the next day. It usually takes us around 4 weeks. We normally alternate between Campfire and Gather Round. We can get in about 7 units a year.
Thank you for your review of this Unit Study. We are looking forward to doing this one as well. Do you print a copy of this for your child or does he just look at yours? How do you go about him looking at the book and enjoying the pictures and reading?
I have day in the life videos on both of my playlists. I have a playlist for Gather Round and Campfire. Campfire has a very different feel from Gather Round.

I am so glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
We just got this unit and started today. LOVE it! It is our first CC!! Thank you for this video!
Thanks so much for watching! I hope you guys love it!

We are so excited for this unit. Thanks for watching.
I can't wait! We have never done campfire but this one caught my eye and I am hoping to use this after Christmas.
You are going to love it!
My 9 year old son will absolutely love this! Thank you for such a great flip through! We haven’t done any Campfire units yet, but I am super excited!
You’re welcome! Let me know if you guys try one out.

I just finished printing it out. We will start next week🤗
You will have to let me know how it goes. We are about to start a Halloween unit, then we will start Zoology.
Yay! So excited you put this together to show us!
It looks like it is going to be so much fun.
Love this so much, you are always the best at sharing these fantastic units. Thank you so much
Thank you so much for watching.
TY for this flip through very thorough. Excellent.!!
You are so welcome!
This looks so wonderful! I'm definitely adding this one to our list for this year!
It looks like a great one for sure!
I was hoping you would do a flip through!
❤️
I was hoping you would do a flip through of this unit.

We loved this unit.

I print from home. Campfire recommends a few print companies like Family Nest printing, Watson Family Press, and Homeschool Print Company.
We need to have something to show at the end of the year assessment. So we are going to do voice to text for all the narration and then print them. 😊
That’s an excellent idea!

Do you think these could be done out if order depending on interest!? Or does it build off each other?
The lessons build off of each other, often referring to what you learned in the previous lesson.
Thank you for your review of this Unit Study. We are looking forward to doing this one as well.
Do you print a copy of this for your child or does he just look at yours? How do you go about him looking at the book and enjoying the pictures and reading?
I only print one book and he just uses when needed. You could also cast the book to your tv and your children could look at it that way.
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife Thank you 😊
Do you have a video comparing what your day looks like with CC vs GR? We've been using GR for years and I'm a little afraid of branching out🤣
I have day in the life videos on both of my playlists. I have a playlist for Gather Round and Campfire. Campfire has a very different feel from Gather Round.
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife is it as God centered as GR?
@@lizdickens1697 yes and it wonderful. If you wanted to leave that part out, you would skip the Faith Talk.
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife Definitely don't want to leave it out! Thank you 🙂
Can you make a video on your son's notebook for this unit?
I will have to try and find it. It is probably somewhere in my basement.
