Actually the car had an annoying thump on cold start up for 5 years as I couldn’t get it diagnosed. Cost of repair was high since was for a 1998 Accord V6. But worth it!
Did it seem like you had to jack up up a lot to close that gap? And is the bracket supposed to be sitting on the new mount after the replacement or slightly floating above?
Correct. I only raised the jack to the point of resistance to support the engine. The bracket sat flush after mounting. If yours was higher it could be you have jack raised to high.
I had changed all four struts and when driving on bumpy roads I continued to hear alot of rattling and knocking. Wasn't until I changed out the 2 engine mounts and tranny mount that the car was handling dumpy roads alot smoother. Mind you I went on to change some additional suspension components to address other issues. I have videos on those as well.
@@sopromondo3262 After 12 months I may be onto something. Please send links if possible of your suspension work. However, I've done every suspension component except LCAs and LBJ which are solid. Still knocking occurs at front right!!!😠 Will it be ok to remove the metal casing cover above the engine mount to inspect it, or will that make it worse if on its already damaged.
Honestly if you are going to go through the effort to remove the top cover, I would just replace it. Good chance it's worn out considering the age of the vehicle. I only have videos for LCA, UCA, and the 3 mounts. All of these videos are on my channel.
Passenger side motor mount the bracket that’s mounted to the motor still after pulling of the top bracket , do you know where I can find that bracket (the one still mounted on the engine) crossed threaded them on my accord need a new one

What bolt size is motor mount
It's culled a breaker bar. A pry bar. Is something totally different.

Did you consider re-tapping the threads?
what about the motor mount on the back of the engine?
It seems to be fine. After changing the front, passenger and driver side mounts, all my engine related vibrations are gone.
