Man tekken is a hard game to learn. Every time i fought Hwoarang i got beat by his mixups. I took 3 days using Hwoarang only. This has helped me beat up many Hwoarang players. I guess i have to do the same with other characters. There are too many moves from many characters. Sometimes it’s difficult to predict what they gonna do

I love that the wavedash cancel is a fighting game technique that gets more devastating and intimidating the more you perfect its execution. The scale is huge. I cant find any other FG tech that has the same attributes as this one. It is a skill outside of the game sort of. Just based on pure movement training, a bit like you would learn a musical instrument (I play on stick exclusively for this game and this feeling of mastery that tekken provides regarding execution) Damn, I love this shit 😂😂😂
Kings chain grab blue sparks when you don’t constantly tap the next button it’s like one input one button press. That’s what I figured I guess t8 is more leaniant when it comes to kings grabs.

IMO, this video displays why Kazuya is top tier ( and TMM's impressive talent of course!). One can complain about how other characters are OP, might be true, but Kazuya or DJ are truly scary as hell when in full offence, guess wrongly a 50-50 twice and you're done for ..insane wall , oki damage and heat. So hard to defend against that pressure.
We all getting High ranks so early in the game ... hope that won't hurt the ranked battle system because I remember in T7 it took years for some of us to only reach mighty ruler ...
there are 6 less whole ranks before mighty ruler... but also take into account you carry all your knowledge into this game. some purple ranks i play against and theyre a bit inflated (even fujins), but others are just as good as i remembered them from tekken 7
In addition to that, Tekken 7 season 1 had a far more difficult ranking system. You had to win multiple games in a row to rank up and a single loss would take you multiple wins away from ranking up. There was no points system. I’m not certain but I don’t think anyone reached TGP back in season 1 (at least legitimately). It wasn’t until season 2 when the points system was introduced and you started seeing a ton of people reach the highest ranks.
You also gotta keep in mind there are a shitload more players than before, console and pc player pools are mixed, and a lot of players have no legacy skill so you have a huge advantage over them. Also when you look at the rank distribution it’s not nearly as bad as people are thinking. Median point is at eliminator (I think) then it drops down to 40% at Garyu, then drops to 15% at tenryu, then drops off down to the single digits in blue ranks.
I have noticed that the cheese players one and done when they lose because they know that “learning the game” is coming for them and it’s going to hurt when it does. When you learn their gimmicks it’s a bad day for them.
I’m blown away by how strong blue ranks are. You get to purple and it’s like “damn, I guess no good players until gold ranks”. Then blue ranks hit you like a brick wall. It’s pretty tough as a kazuya Main when he’s weak as hell in T8. But it’s so satisfying.
I'm not defending it but it's because the ranked system isn't designed to truly reflect your skill, it's to find a match as close to your skill as possible
It's a balance thing in case u lose against very high ranked player and don't get robbed out of 600+ points. And usually winning someone 2 ranks above ur rank gets u very high points , so that's good enough.
Because for some reason they made it so win streaks matters more in point rewards, regardless of rank. I've beaten raijins and only gotten 300 points or 100 points (low win streak, 3 or less) and I've beaten shinryu players and won 200 points (win streak is plus 8). Raijins are 2 ranks above me, but shynryu is 5 ranks below. Doesnt make sense but thats how it is right now. Doesnt help that pluggers can take ur win streak away with the press of a button.
Wished t8 ranked system would reward you based on winning or losing only, not using win streaks as a multiplier. Would make it better imho. Because right now, lots of people getting in red/purple ranks just because they got there doing cheese to mostly rookies. If you get a high enough win streaks, the opponents rank doesnt matter much for point rewards. The online experience has been great but this and pluggers have made it bittersweet on more than one playing session.
@@6thdim i know its part of it, i confidently beat cheesy players but theres no growth there plus not much reward if I win but lose too much (points and win streak ) together. Id rather rank up beating 3 fujiin players in close matches, than having to beat 8 cheesers in lower ranks, in a row and the 9nth one wins by my error , lose a ton of points and here we go again. Something that doesnt help me also is that not many players in my rank in my area it seems (battle ruler close to fujin) because matchmaking can take up to 5 min sometimes.
He doesn't need to be the absolute number 1, he just needs to enjoy the game, I'm sure he is not comparing to other Kaz mains all the time, only people in the comments do it, and still is an amazing Kaz player

Good point. Its not always about the characters, but ppl always blame them cause of their personal online experience, its so dumb. Im no tekken god or anything, just playing the game for a long time maining Dragunov, currectly at battle ruler, and the fact that literally everyone just dodges me or telling me im getting free wins because im playing him is just ridiculous, like not at all. And i know i could play him better, but so do the opponents with their characters. I’ve seen in replays a Tenryu Lee Chaolan totally trolling a kishin Feng Wei like he was nothing. A FENG WEI.🤣 Even the so called ‘busted’ characters can have a hard time and even the ‘not so good ones’ can just mop you 3/0. Im just so tired of ppl online talking trash at the characters you play.
im thinkin he's addressing jun and xiaoyu type characters. they can have you in the trenches for long amounts of time if you dont know specific frame data for some moves.

Cheese is part of the game, it’s a legit strategy. If you beat rookies with that strategy then you should be higher rank than them.
