I totally thought the same thing. Really breaks my heart that the waitress chose to bluntly confront Tiffany in front of the group. Wish she would've called the cops or like others mentioned, got the license plate. Similar to the domestic violence event at a McDonald's recently, there should be crisis training on that sort of thing.

The waitress should have never went up to the girl and tell her she looks like a missing person. Especially because she herself said the older woman and the younger ones had a weird power dynamic between them. Just go in the kitchen and call the cops. Go out the back door when they leave and write down the plates. I don't get why she acted that way. Maybe she just made it all up.

I was held in captivity and trafficked by my “owner” for two years. He killed himself last December as soon as the investigation into him began.
The sighting of Tiffany in a restaurant rings true to me. My captor took me in public often, and I spoke with hundreds of people during the time I was with him, but none of them noticed anything was wrong. He seemed to love showing me off and got off on controlling me in public without anyone noticing.
I have several disabilities due to a genetic disorder, which cause a multitude of medical issues. Unfortunately, this made it much easier for him to prey on me. Whenever any signs of abuse were noticed (because I did often have physical injuries) he was able to explain it away as part of my medical issues.
Usually in public he spoke for me, especially in situations like a restaurant, where he always ordered for me. The trafficking theory sounds very plausible to me in this case, and the sighting in the restaurant also fits in with my personal experience as a trafficking victim.

I was waitress and they gave us a course on human trafficking, the signs, what we should do etc . All those signs did point to trafficking and if this was true then that waitress messed up badly.
I know sometimes it's hard to really focus on other details while you're waitressing as you're most likely multi-tasking at every possible minute but ahhh... we have to take in consideration what we say to strangers.

You'll never hear someone say "I knew they were going to kill themselves". When you hit that low of a point you do things out of character. It doesn't mean anything that she was reliable and cared so much about her family in a healthy mental state. When you've decided you're done nothing matters. Your goals don't matter, your family doesn't matter, and your plans don't matter. I HATE that people say someone wouldn't have killed themselves. That's why so many of us do. Because no one takes the signs seriously. It's important not to discount it in any situation. Suicidal people look just like everyone else.

It's true about letting someone know where your going. I'm 62 and my Dad taught me to do as he did, this before cell phones or internet. He always would let someone know where he was going, be it a store owner he did business with or gas station, whatever, he would casually mention where he was headed. If he came up missing, there was a trail that could be followed. I will say these were people that he knew in a small town. I can see the down side of that with strangers and predators these days. But let someone know. With modern technology, it's easy.

Waitress’ need to be trained on how to handle situations such as kidnapping and human trafficking. If they suspect something they should keep a look out for the people and start installing security cameras outside. Or have signs in the bathroom saying word codes if the person is being a victim of human trafficking and kidnapping. And maybe start having menu items where a specific word is highlighted like if the person orders a burger and one of the highlighted words is pineapple and they add pineapple on the burger, the waitress would know what to do. And somewhere on the menu it could explain what the highlighted words mean.

Where I do think that the waitress sighting is most credible (and it angers me that she watched them walk out and didn't go outside to get a plate number after suspecting it was tiffany), what about what she told her boss? She said she "needed to leave early to take care of some things". Was that an excuse because she needed a break from her job or did she really need to do something? Could she have been meeting someone at the beach? Greg said he heard her leaving the apartment "early" but it seemed like she would've had to go to work early anyway. What was she doing? Putting her bike in her car? Why would she need to get up that early?
I don't know, I just feel like something is missing between that morning and getting to the beach that doesn't involve human trafficking.

Secondly, I've been on this case since late summer thanks to John Lordan and I think Steven Pacheco did this one too.
The biggest clue I find is the fact that she had the power shut off so quickly after she went missing. Almost like there was some sort of premeditation involved. Like why did she do that? And so quickly? Usually you have to put that order in at least a week or two in advance. The utility company won't just come out the next day or the work order won't process that frickin' quick.

Gender, age, size, ethnic, color, religion, language, intelligence or ignorance, attractive appearance or unattractive. However young women, men & children are most Sought after. Trafficking abductors are well trained, practiced & develop swift, fail proof tactics for abducting “product” people for profit. Unfortunately the demand is high & supply is low making the job of abductors challenging. Human trafficking crimes has surpassed drug trafficking crimes. It’s the darkest crime known to civilization in my opinion. BEWARE! Protect yourselves & your children.

Now I live in rural Florida and I’ve been seeing so many campaigns to make aware of the signs and give resources to report suspected trafficking, so it is not just in the main tourism areas here. I honestly think that’s the most logical thing that could’ve happened to this poor girl.

A lot of people who are suicidal still do and plan things, and can even seem excited about somethings. People really struggling with it will try to find reasons not to, "maybe if i have this to look forward to/maybe if i have this to focus on", but eventually the suicidal thoughts might win. Whenever I read 'they were making plans and seemed excited for them' it gets me because not many people 100% decide to kill themselves and then just...keep living life for a few weeks first, knowing they're going to end their lives. Its usually more of a "thats it, im doing it" thing. They'll _consider_ it for a long time, but not 100% make the decision and then wait a few weeks.

I'm not too sure about Pensacola but I imagine it is similar to the area I live in FL, and unless in hospitality or tourism, most jobs for locals are in telemarketing. Due to this, all ages tend to work at them and a lot of younger people seek out older roommates from work because it is also a very transient state and younger people often leave, get hooked on opioids, or just don't want to work. Older roommates are more rooted in the area and are more responsible.

I was held in captivity and trafficked by my “owner” for two years. He killed himself last December as soon as the investigation into him began.
The sighting of Tiffany in a restaurant rings true to me. My captor took me in public often and I spoke with hundreds of people during the time I was with him, but none of them even noticed anything was wrong.

I agree with your main theory. The amount of sightings and the specific details that match up... sadly I think trafficking is very likely in this case. She likely isnt alive anymore.

I live here. Their are sooo many tourists from all over the United States. It’s easy for foul play to happen. I NEVER go to the beach alone. I’ve heard too many awful stories of people going missing. All the person who committed the crime would have to do is get in their car and leave. No one would think a thing about it. I don’t even notice people because of all the tourists.
I moved to the Destin area in the 80’s and was told NEVER go to the beach alone. A young girl was murdered in the sand dunes and no one was ever caught.
There was a hit and run that killed somebody on HWY 98 in front of a busy water park. People were everywhere. The driver took off and has never been caught.
A person can go missing and be anywhere in a short amount of time. Many murderers have come through the area. Remember Ted Bundy was caught here.
I don’t think she was a victim of human trafficking. I believe she was abducted, raped and murdered. Her body could be anywhere.
Many tourists get drunk and fight. No one would think twice about seeing something like this in a parking lot.

Also, when she went home, the day she disappeared, how did they know she really went home? I missed that. If the room mate harmed her, he could have driven her car and parked it....

I don't know if she was the one who dropped off her car. If she wasn't then someone else besides the person who drove it there had to be involved so they could pick him up. I think it could have been someone she knew. I wonder if they took any DNA along with the finger print in the car. Did they try to match the finger print with room mate or the boyfriend? So many questions with this case.

My uncle has me on his find a friend and can see my location any time. He checks in the morning and night to make sure I’m safe. When my last phone broke I was without a phone for a couple days and he sent my mom over to see if I was okay, they had my cousin check my Facebook activity to see when I was last online. A little bit overkill but I appreciated it. If I went missing I’d be glad for it.
In this case I think human trafficking is the likeliest situation 🙁 but it enrages me the way that waitress acted if that restaurant was a real sighting. I hope we get to the bottom of this for her family.

Idk maybe i didnt and i just think i did. I will keep my eye out. Im always trying to pay attention to people now after watching and listening to missing persons/ wanted people cases. The person that i remember seeing did do drugs tho. I didnt hang with that person very much due to not wanting to be involved with drugs. But yeh idk. It could be someone who looks like her.

I don't think she was trafficked or ran away, I think it's been right under their noses this whole time, I think she was murdered that same day, in the town she was living and her body just hasn't been found, I tell you why, traffickers dont tend to take people that will have someone looking for them, that will bring attention to the media, someone that has noone to look for them, most have a code of conduct ironically, they dont take mothers and generally stalk their victims lives or approach them in bars ect and ask questions and insert themselves in their lives, unless someone new was in her live then I dont believe she was trafficked, they literally dont just snatch people off the street because they have no idea who they're taking, they target vulnerable women and young girls.

    • @livingdeadgirl805
      @livingdeadgirl805 4 роки тому +1

cammey3 I don’t think that’s true at all about traffickers not taking people who will have someone looking for them...while the majority of those trafficked are runaways or homeless, it’s not because no one will notice or be looking, but because they’re easily coerced to go with a stranger and they lack a supportive network so they look for it elsewhere. Another big target is young women who are living away from home for the first time, as in university co-eds or young women looking for job opportunities are extremely vulnerable so Tiffany was actually the perfect candidate because she didn’t have her family with her.

Traffickers will scoop up the quickest and easiest prey available. They have no idea nor do they care if the family will look for them. It’s about the time & place, easy access, grab & go. You have no idea of what you’re talking about as far as who traffickers abduct. It’s not about the people. It’s about a human product period!
