After Lefty's death in 2008 it was "revealed" by a Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist that he was a high-level FBI informant for much of his time in Vegas. I didn't include this in the video because there isn't really any supporting information that corroborates this claim and it has proven to be a very controversial topic amongst mob historians. But if you're interested in reading about it and forming your own conclusions here are 2 articles I found online detailing the accusations and what information Lefty potential gave the FBI.

I lived and worked in Vegas in the early 70’s. A good friend, now deceased, worked 40 weeks a year at the Stardust lounge. For me personally, I thought Vegas was better back then. The lounges were a financial write-off….the owners didn’t care if they made a profit. The whole system was designed to make the high-rollers happy. If they lost big at the tables, they could see great entertainment in the lounges with comped drinks. In my opinion, Vegas sucks now….no free drinks, no free parking and you can’t walk on the strip without getting accosted by illegals pushing sex clubs. When I lived there prostitution was illegal in Clark County but was tolerated in the hotels so long as it wasn’t in your face. Street walkers were absolutely non-existent.

Lefty's character was questionable if he discovered that his girlfriend had a list of telephone numbers and contact details of the high rollers who would give her a call and some money when they were in town, in exchange for a good time, and he STILL proposed and married her. I am completely fascinated about Lefty Rosenthal and his role in Vegas. Was he an FBI informant?? Don’t know exactly. It’s very interesting that Lefty was never indicted for the things going on in the casinos he supposedly ran. Maybe the mob intentionally kept him clean away from the illegal side of the operation like the skim in the count room and he was just a high level day to day operations manager for the casinos so he never got indicted and never had to testify in the various mob indictment cases like operation Strawman. I think it’s unlikely that he had no knowledge of what was going on. I believe Allen Glicks account of AG having his life threatened by the KC mob because he interfered with Lefty’s running of the casinos. I also believe that since the teamsters union was involved and Lefty was Chicagos guy at Argent that other mafia groups that also comprised the teamsters like KC and Milwaukee wanted their own guy running the Argent casinos and that created conflict as well. I believe it was Milwaukee boss Frank Balistreri who ordered Lefty’s car bombing in 1982 as a message to get out of town. I believe car bombings were Balistreris MO while Tony Spilotro would’ve just killed Frank and dug a hole in the desert. Frank and Tony kept their business separate and Frank was smart enough not to go upstairs and cause a beef to mafia higher ups about Tony sleeping with Lefty’s wife. Then there was the issue of Lefty having a TV show and making a huge scene at the Gaming control hearings. He was denied a license by the board after he made some heavy handed decisions that went against relatives of board members who had jobs at the casino. He created too much heat and needed to go. But why would he become an FBI informant? He’s not a made man and has no oath of loyalty to the mob so he has nothing to betray but if he was an informant why wasn’t he ever called to testify in a trial? Wouldn’t that be the value he had to the feds in the first place??

I wonder if Lefty smoked as many ciggs as Deniro did in the movie. He smoked nearly every moment of every scene like they tried to make him appear more gangster than he really was. Scorsese really played up the anti-Semitic drama against Ace to appease Hollywood too. Great movie though

Almost every high profile criminal gets "revealed" as an FBI informant after they die, and once in a while, it even is true (everyone in Cleveland's glory days seemed to be). When after Carmine Persico died and he was "revealed' as a supposed FBI informant, even Franzese, who Persico wanted dead for years, said he found the idea of Persico being a Fed informant almost ridiculous. Personally, I take anything a lifelong criminal, an informant, a journalist, a politician, or an FBI agent says with a not only a grain of salt, but the entire salt shaker and the cylinder shaped container with the girl holding the umbrella on it that the salt in the shaker came from.
FBI "informants" are like CIA assets, even if someone passes along the most minute and inconsequential piece of information once in a blue moon when asked by an agent, they go into the file and WHOLA, they're an 'informant" or an 'asset". The FBI likes to pretend they're some sort of masterminds infiltrating every facet of the criminal underworld through their divine influence and masterful investigative techniques, it's really quite embarrassing.

LEFTY vs. GINGER. Concerning Lefty's relationship with Ginger----let this be a lesson to all: no matter how much money you have, a beautiful woman will never respect/love you if you look physically like.. Lefty. At best, she'll love your money.
This should be a life lesson.

But this is not real it's just Entertainment. Check how they are registered. Just like the WWE, NFL & MLB it's sports "ENTERTAINMENT" which allows the refs "directors" control the scene! Look at these horrible stoppages and the way these guys are scoring the fights. It's all about controlling the narrative.

good insight on Lefty. for those going through the comments, I've got good news. God is good because He gives His blessings to everyone, whether they be good or bad. but everyone has at least, told a lie, or stolen something in their life. and that makes them sinners, and God will not allow sinners in heaven; in His presence, because He is holy. so, God has to punish the sinners in hell, because God is severe and just. but God is also love and He made a way for some to be saved from His wrath. here are the steps:
    1. admit that you're a sinner and are lost.
    2. realize that the penalty of sin is death (hell).
    3. believe that Jesus (who is God) died on the cross, was buried, then rose from the grave, to pay the penalty for man's past, present, and future sins.
    4. trust Christ alone as your Savior, and not on your own good deeds to get you to heaven (nor a combination of your faith and self-righteous works).
    5. pray to God NOW that you're accepting Christ's free gift of salvation because if you die before making this decision, it's too late, and you'll 🔥🥵😈
    6. and to be a disciple, tell people about Jesus, read the bible, go to church regularly to know God's will for your life.
