Can this cap be washed?
It's just gum all through..

Yes, it can be washed by damping sponge in soapy water and brush,and yes straw board can stand water,I use straw boards to make hand bags and I wash my bags.For the gum I used shoe makers gum and it's very strong.Thank you

So, I just got done making my hat. I am Cantor. That is a singer in the Jewish faith. The high holidays are coming up and the Cantor typically wears a hat similar to this. I did not want to buy one because men’s which are the ones they mostly sell, are just plain satin ones. I wanted a satin one with lace to make it a little more feminine. They are also about 7 inches high, and I wanted a shorter one. I found your tutorial, and I must say it came out so beautifully and elegant! I can’t say thank you enough for being so explicit with your details and allowing us to follow along with you. Thank you! Thank you! My only problem is now that I have this beautiful one my female counterparts are going to want one as well! So, I’m just going to send them to your website lol!
