Aprilia RS660, BMW R1200GS, Royal Enfield Continental GT650, Honda CRF300L.
Camera kit used in my vlogs:
Panasonic GH5, 2XGoPro Hero10's with media mods, Insta 360 One X2, Rode Wireless Go radio mic system, in camera mic is a Tram TR50 with Sennheiser connection. Intercom is Sena which integrates into my helmet. Drone is the DJI Mavic2 pro. I use Polar Pro ND filters on the GoPro cameras and the drone.
Helmet: Shoei GT Airll
My son purchased the Interceptor in February and put on Scorpian cans and the K&N air filter from Hitchcocks. Much lighter than the OEM’s and sound fabulous. Quite pricey but definitely worth it. Also got rid of the standard indicators, rear tail light, bars and levers. It’s in the ravishingly red and put on black bars, levers, small black indicators. Like yours, a real head turner and he gets all the attention when we’re out and about. LOVES IT
This is probably the best review I have ever seen on the conti gt. Your personality is absolutely infectious!
Wow, I’ll take that Adrian!🫣👍
Got my Mr. Clean about 3 weeks ago and am coming up on my first service interval. I really love it too! I intended to get a black version but the dealer only had the Mr. Clean. I'm glad I said yes, because the looks have really grown on me and I've had nothing but compliments on it. Even from Harley guys. Can't wait to start commuting to work on it.
10:02 "didnt need that for a sunday morning" this made my day XD
Thanks Zolden.
Just bought an Interceptor with a chrome tank and love it, I thought the continental looked ok until now. its the first time I've seen the chrome edition and the rims look great, it looks like something that was made in the sixties. Love it, can't wait to see one in Australia.
Such a gorgeous bike! And it trips me out seeing someone driving and n the other side of the road. Lol!
An absolute blast down country roads
A good review of your time with the bike warts and all, not that there were many. I wouldn't be up for all that chrome myself but you do keep your bikes well. I have ridden the Triumph Bobber and it had that similar "ride it for the smiles" feeling. The braking demonstration did make me laugh though.
I ride a gt 535. its astounding how frequently people ask me how old the bike is. They always seem surprised when i tell them its a 2018 model.
I fitted the AEW mufflers to mine. They are Indian made and came in the accessory pack with single seat as well. I love them as they have a nice note and you can easily pull the baffles out and really wake up the neighbours. I've added different bar end mirrors, air filter, screen and a clock all from Hitchcock's Motorcycles in the UK. Quick service to only 8 days to Australia. Mine is in the baby blue colour.
How do you mean that the AEW mufflers came with the single seat?
@@MikomiNakama9 They were part of the accessory pack I was offered with the bike.
@@charlesemerson6763 that’s nice... I’m not decided between the AEW or S&S yet
@@MikomiNakama9 They were part of the accessory pack and were in the same box as the seat.
@@charlesemerson6763 lucky you ☺️
Great review. The roads in Ireland look amazing. Can’t wait to get over sometime soon.
Thanks Barry. We’re so blessed having these roads for biking.👍🏍
I'm from Canada; the wife and I spent a month riding round the west of Eire on our tandem (pushbike). Loved Ireland. Wonderful riding, local drivers all v. courteous, but watch out for the Yanks and Germans in the rental cars!
@@tomhocking895 🤣
Thanks to reviews like this; just ordered a Mr Clean! Thank you very much for the great review!
Love theses bikes. If I wasn’t un helpfully tall I’d have one on in the garage. Ride safe 👍
Really enjoyable video, bike looks absolutely immaculate. Love the black and Silver number plate. Not sure that's allowed over here in England. Take care of yourself and stay safe.
Thanks Steve. The plate isn’t allowed here either but I don’t go too far on it. 🏍😜
Nice hands on review. Love that Irish countryside. A million shades of green. Thanks for showing that lovely chrome.
I just put a deposit down on a British Green GT650! Thanks for the video and review!
Nice one. I love them.Good luck!
@@WheelieGoodTV thanks! 👍
Bravo, we'll done brother. And you were right, I was definitely interested in this review. You've about sealed my fate...I believe I will be joining the GT ranks. Much like you, I ride for fun and enjoyment...I don't use my bikes for transportation. I'll have to find your video about the one do-it-all bike...I want it to exist. I just keep finding some bikes do many things well, but not any one thing brilliantly. Anyway, I'm rambling. If I ever make it to my Blackburn family reunion in Ireland I may skip it and go ride the country side...beautiful ride man. Be well!
Ah great stuff. It’s a superb bike. Give me a shout if you make it to the Emerald Isle!!
Thank you for the video, from across the pond. I have an eye for one.
Thanks Steve. They are super machines and beautiful to just look at!
I just love watching your videos. Thanks, Mr. Clean
Many thanks for that Mark!
Hi Dave, We don't see the Royal Enfields in Canada. So I did enjoy the review. For once I will disagree with you regarding best all rounder. My BMW was a real break my wallet bike. In one season I had a stripped input shaft on the clutch and a month later the rear drive went out on it. That was when I bought the FJR. As an all rounder my 2012 v-strom would take some beating YMMV. Anyway always enjoy the vids
'Not in Canada, eh?' Pity. I'm on VANCOUVER ISLAND where we have an RE dealer. I'm there looking at a Conti 650 now.
Royal Enfield is on a roll. It has so much in store for the next 12-24 months. The following models are up for launch -
Classic
Roadster
Shotgun
Hunter
Sherpa
Scram
Flying Flea and
An Electric Motorcyle
Also BSA will be launching its 650cc motorcycle by the end of the year.
Exciting times alright!👍🏍
@@WheelieGoodTV
Couldn't have agreed more. Looking forward to the new BSA 650cc which will be first launched in the UK.
@@kyakaruvlogs2784 my dad had a BSA Gold star which is where my love of bikes began. I’d be very interested to see their new model.
@@WheelieGoodTV
most likely it will be called a Goldstar as its their most popular model in the 50s and 60s. Hopefully it will be liquid cooled producing about 70-80 horses and can cruise around whole day at 170-180kmph. Pray they won't follow RE by restricting the bikes capabilities by following Britain's A2 licensing norms.
Try a Tec Stinger 2 into 1 - has a real baarkk to it! The Conti is a super bike as stock, but a few mods make it a beauty.
u jus love that bike!!can feel it even from this side!!how could u not?its such a bute.i ride a enfield classic 350 battle green over here in sri lanka.i gotta say!!its feels like the first day, evry day.cheers!!
🤣🤣 You’re spot on! By the sounds of it, you know the feeling too. Thanks 🙏
For the exhausts, if weight reduction is not the top priority; go for AEWs (TE 101/TE 102) based on Pune, India. Personally, these are the best sounding exhausts that perfectly accentuates the twin cylinder sound. In addition, they are inexpensive and great quality. TE 101 - slimmer profile, looks great, sounds delicious. TE 102 - Slightly bigger than the TE 101, sounds slightly more bassier.
Interesting to hear your thoughts on the bike. I recently fitted Pirelli Phantom Sport Comps to my Moto Guzzi V7, I really rate them, so much better than the Pirelli Sport Demons it came with. I don't ride mine in the wet though, so have not experienced them in adverse conditions yet thankfully :-)
The RE is a cracking looking bike for sure! :-)
Did 751 miles in the wet in Wales on Phantoms. I was in the company of faster bikes, but never needed to play catchup.
Never gave me a moment of trouble, very confidence inspiring tyre.
@@2WHEELSor2WINGS Awesome to hear :-)
I think the major complaint about them is that they tramline along parallel grooves.
My favorite game to play is getting people to guess the year. So far nobody has even come close usually guessing 1980s timeframe. Good bike, good times.
🤣🤣🏍👍
"...India, a predominantly dry country..." Dude, it's a large country with diverse climate. But many regions have _monsoons_ from June thru September.
I should have said in Comparison to Ireland where it rains 364 days per year.🤣
@@WheelieGoodTV :^> I hope you have a supply of sunscreen ready for day 365... :^)
True haha, I stayed in Meghalaya few years back, it rained throughout the year lol. It's actually the wettest place on Earth.
@@Anonymous-lw4nq Yep, and on record
Hi Dave, i now own a Mr Clean and the slip on i got is a Zard exhaust and i have taken out the baffles.. god you can hear me in the next county....lol.
🤣🤣🤣I can hear you from here!
Love the camera angles! How’d you do that?
Thanks! I have a few videos on my channel explaining all. Cheers
@@WheelieGoodTV cool! Greetings from the states!
nice bike ,nice test ,nice man thank you i think you just cost me about six grand lol i'm off to my dealer.
🤣🤣 And a nice message! Enjoy, it’ll be the best six grand you could spend on two wheels!
I put Grip Puppies on my crf300l, it had thin handgrips which gave me cramp in the throttle side. They're really good, fitted and forgot, no cramp.
Oooh I hadn’t thought of that for the CRF. Good idea.👍
Great video🙌love my gt650 too
Just love this bike.
Appreciate your comments on ergonomics....im looking to add one of these as my Sunday bike. Dave would you mind sharing your height/wt! Thanks mate!
Sure, I’m 5’8” and 190lbs.
Great review! Thinking of getting back on a bike. Had a zed thou 30 years ago. Fancy the z900rs but that may be a bit too much bike for me now and it's obviously much dearer than the REs. I can get an INT and a GT for that LOL!
I like the slightly hunched over position of the GT but the legs seem a bit too angled for my 6'2" frame .... gonna check them out come spring ....
And when I lived in England 1989-1993 everyone "drove" their bikes.... unlike the US where they "ride" them.....
Bybre is short for by Brembo Not top spec but pretty good
Great seeing the side view of yourself on the bike ,just wondering what height and weight are you.
Thanks PJ. I’m 5’8”. And 190 lbs.
@@WheelieGoodTV Thanks sometimes bike sizes can be very disceptive not sure which id go for the continental or the interceptor 🤔
Hi Dave I believe the gt 500 re seat cowl fits the gt 650 original seat, seen it on another yt video. The cowl fits over the pillion part of the seat and fixes into the two plastic bushes in the seat midway on the seat each side!!! 🏍️
Ah ha, thanks for that Turlough. I shall explore! 👍
@@WheelieGoodTV Dave if get it straight from Royal Enfield it might be less hassle 🙏😁
Another brilliant video!!!!
Thanks buddy
Beautiful review! I have the same bike! :-)
Many thanks. Yes we’re the lucky ones! Fabulous bikes.👍🏍
Drill two 10mm+ holes in the end for a little more noise 👌
Funny you should mention that. I’ve just ordered some slip ons. 👍🏍
Have you considered just taking the seat to an upholstery shop to make it more comfortable? Enjoyed your review, thank you!
Good idea!👍🏍
I am a little amazed at you saying you get about 45mpg. I push on a bit more than you by the sound of things and I get 72mpg average, worst 64mpg. I also like Grip Puppy's, once I got used to them. Fab bikes, and I love mine.
Wow you’re definitely getting more than me.
What a fucking great bike. Im in love with my GT
72 mpg?! Yankee Gallon or Her Majesty's?
@@jarjarbinks3193.
Her Majesty,'s Imperial gallons. 😎
45 mpg sounds really low. I thought they sipped fuel.
I put some S&S slip-ons, race only, on my Dr Mayhem (baffles out, of course). They, with a DNA air filter, completely transformed the bike!
I’m definitely going to look into this.👍
Did you take the race stickers from it? 😂.... I intend to to it myself also.
@@MikomiNakama9 Nah. Kinda use to them.
@@jimmyb4982 I see.
Have you considered removing the passenger grab rail? It's one of the first things I removed from my bullet 500. Lovely bike! I'm considering mr clean or the new BRG....or a full custom like TMF. My all-rounder, carry anything, go anywhere, zombie apocalypse bike is a 2015 tiger explorer 1200.
Yes I certainly did consider it but I actually quite like the look of it now. After watching TMF’s latest vid about the disaster he had with his customisation I certainly won’t be taking a project like that on. Love those Tigers though, great bikes. English biker Dan has one I think.🤔
You don't need a gear indicator, it only has two...the right gear or the wrong gear
🤣👍
15:34 your number plate is "black and white" just like 50 - 60's not too sure if it is legal in England.. BUT if i could get it would be in character of the bike.
Hi Tony. It’s defo not legal in England but the Irish cops have turned a blind eye so far.
Get the Trip Machine Wingman leather bags and suede seat.
I have the bags, they’re great!👍
Have you considered getting the seat reapolstered, with some additional support?
No I hadn’t but that’s a good idea. 👍
Makes sense, i had my spare in the attic doing nothing, now changing from black to a tan leatherette. So many pictures online to get inspiration and a relatively cheap upgrade
I can't wait to se RE Shotgun
I know. The pics look great. Should be launching soon I think 🤔
What wax do you use? Cheers
Really sorry folks but I’m away for a few weeks work and can’t check. It’s called something like “Hells” wax or “Devil”
something or other. Stuart Fillingham
uses it which is where I got the recommendation and it’s brilliant. Sorry I know that doesn’t really help. 🤯🥴
15:48 You did only run 500 miles in 6 months?
Yep. Even after a year on now it’s only got just over 1K. It’s my look at bike. 😍
@@WheelieGoodTV spider web bike 😆
Does it fit 2 people?
Yes with stock seat. Perfect
Are you still with us ?, hope so.....
Indeed I am!
@@WheelieGoodTV Its just that we havent seen any videos from you recently, unless Ive missed them, so expected that something had happened to you, sorry. Really glad you are OK 😃

It’s very hard not to curse when talking in an Irish review
I know. I have to stay on my best behaviour when I’m making these vids.😜
India an china making some really nice bikes nowadays
Please don't say you agreed with TMF a BMW is the best all round bike !!!! Especially after what he did to his Interceptor 🤣
I will forever preach about the BMW but the less said about that interceptor saga, the better. 🫣🤫
Only 45mpg ???/.....jesus my old 650 Triton used to do 70.....
That raised my eyebrows too! Sounds thirsty…….but gorgeous 😍
A great video young man, thank you.😊
