why there are two mediums used( one is sodium coolant and another is sodium potasium alloy). can't we directly supply water through Intermediate heat exchanger?

its technically still a horrible idea to use sodium in a reactor.
Metal water explosions are no joke and if a leak occurs then all that metal will react at once producing an explosion equal to twice the metal's weight in TNT for sodiums case.
that doesnt even include the hydrogen generation because sodium explodes violently with water even under inert atmosphere.
