This guy went from I only have 1 bottle of water to having 2 steaks ,lighter, 🥦.
I've always loved minimalist camping, it can definitely get you away from the crowds.
And I love seeing you back in your environment. I think it's great what you're doing on the mountain, but it's the sound of those waves on the rocks that truly is Fisherman's Life.
Ive actually missed content like this. Way back in the day they used to be my fav.
I love this format, please do more
Every time you upload a catch-n-cook it makes my day man, but when you upload where you're camping as well?
Perfection. Love the vid format Matt!
So glad I (re)found this channel. Please do more of the overnight camping catch and cooks!
"I even have some avocado that i stepped on"😂😂😂😂. Man having a fire is everything!! Absolute game changer!!! For many reasons, cooking and warmth obviously but also for morale!!!! Im an absolute fire bug!! Its my favorite part of camping, hunting or fishing!!
Survival rule #1:
Always make sure you stop at a Safeway somewhere off I5 while on the way to the beach to get a barbecue lighter and some McCormick salt and pepper grinders. Freshly grinding your salt from the raw rock form is far more flavorful and is the way the ancient San Franciscans would disperse their salt. A dull pocket knife is also essential lol. Love ya fisherman’s life
Aloha. Well done!
Lol
@@alotek2408shut up
Salt is salt. Pepper is better freshly ground.
It's amazing what Matt can do despite his condition.
True inspiration.
What’s his condition
@@Tyler9080 he is highly regarded
He suffers from an illness called "badass". I too am a victim
I think it was his leg, he had an injury
What condition?
Spring is on the way and Matts is uploading again finally the year is getting good!!
Greetings from Redondo Beach CA USA 🇺🇸. Your video just took me to a camping from the comfort of my home. Stay warm and be safe. Cheers 🥂
Redondo is nice! There is some good camping around there if you know where to look, especially on the nearby secluded beaches of Palos Verdes, just gotta find the right spots
Nice with the early morning upload! About to watch this while I get ready to head out fishing.
That piece of plastic on the guy lines of the tent are rope tensioners. It allows you to put your stake down and tighten the line without have to move your stakes every time. Back in the day, I camped for years not know what they were until someone pointed them out and they were a game changer.
You showed us how people from the past lived, spending the whole day to work and provide for the necessities to sustain life and making it a fun adventure!!! Enjoyed this episode!!! Mahalo!
I've also heard that the moisture could also lead to mold inside your air mattress. Some mattresses have bags that double as pumps or Flextail makes nice air pumps.
Flextail is what I use, they're so small and extremely portable.
Mold honestly shouldn't be a problem
Air is moisture lmao 🤣 read a book
@@rodrigoboyz8618 don't you mean air contains moisture?
Is the mold a hindrance when camping?
Absolutely love beach or woods camping videos. More please!
been liking some camping/shelter videos lately. taking interest in fishing too. so if this format combines a hike-shelter-catch/cook im here for it
Awesome video as usual! This is also a shout out to Grandpa Jim in Medford, Oregon. Thanks for introducing me to this channel! Aloha from Hawaii!
this was a fun adventure to watch man. i loved it.
I really enjoyed the survival aspect of this video and I look forward to more like this one!
From filleting fish to battoning firewoods, that sure is a multipurpose knife..😮🔥
Yes please. I love this video style format. 🙋🏻♀️ More please. We love your shows. 🥰
I really enjoyed this format. As well as all the other videos you post as well! Makes me want to go out and be out there near the water and nature! Thank you I’m always checking for new videos. God bless!
All through the years... the scenery never gets old... just beautiful
Good job Matt! Fun video as usual! You’re a pioneer bro! Usually survival bushcraft happens in the woods but I really appreciate how you’re doing it by the ocean
Love this format, Matt. Please do more of these types of videos!
BEST CONTENT EVER PLEASE MAKE MOREE
Great video Matt! This is the type of videos that you do that I enjoy the most, be it on the coast or in the mountains going for trout.
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing your adventure. Makes me want to get out soon. Be safe out there and thanks again for taking us along👍
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing.
Matt, great job! Totally enjoyed this video, and I'm love your products. See you at the fair and please do more videos like this. I'm planning on doing this with my son in the spring.
Always nice to see a camping video from you. They're usually my favorite.
A little pro tip: tampons make great fire starters. They come individually wrapped and will stay dry. Add some chap stick to increase the burn time.
Love the video.
It's great to see you back on the beach, Matt! Love your catch and cook videos. Life is a beach, Matt!!
man i love your content for some reason it stopped popping up on my favorites !! glad to see your back on my dailys !! keep up the great work man ! wish i lived out near the places you go they are amazing
Really cool video. Got to live vicariously through you, and pick up some great outdoor survival tips along the way. Thanks for the video!
Hi Matt & Family ! May the New Year be filled with Life’s Endless Blessings for you all ! This was a great little format, keep up the great work ! I hope I can make it to the street fair to meet you in person. I live in Idaho, but my Son’s live in SF near Ocean Beach. Stay safe & keep smiling !
You are super resourceful!! A very enjoyable video!
Glad to see you out and about sir. Nothing but ALOHA for you and your family. 808
Enjoyed this entire footage ! Thank you Glad you made your tent further from the water.
Matt, great video. You at the ocean's shore fishing is so refreshing and comfortable. Some of us take change slowly.
Love seeing your camp, catch and cook videos.
Loved this vid Matt!..like back to the beginning!
Dude, I watched your videos when I was still a student. It was like 6-7 years ago. Glad you're still making them. :)
Normally I almost never comment on videos. I've been watching your videos for at least five years. I think these catch and cook/ camping/ bushcraft style videos of yours are very good. Thank you for your work and keep it up. greetings from Germany
Really enjoyed the video! Hope for more content like this. Truly remarkable how resourceful one can be when trying to survive. Really cool!
I loved the video. Great Camp, Catch, & Cook.
I love these survival type videos. I used to watch ''Reel Wars'' back on discovery channel in the early year 2000 and it was just 2 guys with a fishing rod and a tent. And they had to catch fish to survive. Very simplistic, yet great. This reminds me of that.
Classic fisherman's life videos!!! Goin back to your roots I love it keep it coming
This is honestly my new favorite video of yours and I’ve been watching you for years 😂 I love this type of video 👍🏼 hope you keep doing these type of videos.. maybe more work to make but way better
Love this type of vid! Told you years ago lol. Glad you enjoyed it and cant wait to see more of them!
Definitely love these videos. We live in the city and your the only escape I can get. Please keep them coming.
Love these kinds of videos. Please do more.
Love to watch camping and fishing videos. Kindly produce more of this, perhaps in the river or lakeside.
Great video. I enjoyed the format. Thanks for sharing.
Great video. Looking forward to more in this format!
I LOVE these videos where you go back to your roots and fish with very little gear whilst being resourceful scavenging bait from the land. Please be careful out there. How do you sleep by yourself out in the open boy???!!!! And.....more please! 😂
Absolutely LOVED this episode!
Yo Matts. So good to see you back out in the coast. This was one of my faves! Be safe brother!
Phenomenal vid, I love that speedy format of video
These types of videos are my absolute favorite! Please upload more
Those are the videos that I love to see, nice to see you back one of your fans Elsie from New London Connecticut USA 👌😊
I love these kinds of videos!! I'd definitely be interested in watching more of them!
So happy to see new content. I would love more camping vids.

Loved the vid! Very informative and relaxing, hope you can do more like this!
I been watching your videos from time to time. I really enjoy them. I feel relax everytime i watch your videos. Stay safe
Man your videos are incredible! You’re very educating as well. Thank you for taking the time to put together this amazing content and risking your life and health doing these solo missions! Be blessed bro, respect.
Brilliant show , please, please do more 🙏
I was binge watching your videos last night, this is a pleasant surprise, it was the first thing I saw, Let's go!!
Loved this video, certainly wouldn't mind more of these!
I like how you cook in the coals an dirty rocks lol. A little dirt never hurt no one
That’s an awesome trip. Thanks for sharing the video
Sometimes simple meals are the best. To this day the beans and weiners and scrambled eggs my dad cooked on a coleman stove in his truck bed under the camper shell, in the pouring rain on the banks of the Verde river when I was a teen was one of the best of my life, and im in my 50's now.
Love that Grayl water bottle. I've had mine for a couple of years, only thing is after a while you gotta replace the filter. So much easier than packing multiple water bottles.
Loved this type of video Matt!! Defiantly do more like it.
Love your great attitude!
I watched all your videos man…. I love what you do. Very informative…
Yes these are the best kind of videos, more of them please!
I enjoyed this format. I go camping, and you have me packing my backpack waiting fior the weather to warm up.
Love this video. I grew up on Californias Lost Coast, this reminds me of good times. Fire starting tip, alway bring a paper grocery bag with you. It weighs nothing, and takes up very little space. Tear off strips, and roll the strips into "logs" to start fires with. They light easy, and burn for a while. To make them burn longer like a candle wick, rub some of your butter on both sides of the paper before rolling. Easy, light weight, free fire starters.
26:00 into it. Loving it ! Thank you Matts
Love the camp/format!
This was amazing to watch. Keep up the content, man
Great video! Love the format
i love the good-natured and almost haphazard approach to the outdoors. just discovered your channel and love it! keep going!
Hey Matts, Love the video, keep them coming. I know you are busy but your videos are very enjoyable
Love this style of video, please consider continuing more
Wearing jeans on a 3 day camping trip is absolutely savage
I can think of many much more savage things to be honest.
You are a fool.
😭
Why?
@@Chrissy_rose That shii can be extremely uncomfortable
This video is awesome. So much information and I enjoyed watching it.
Love how pretty the Mendocino Coast is 😊
grayl is my fave filter for sure. remember to unscrew the cap a little so pressure can release while you're pushing the filter down.
I like this camping stuff. Bring on more!
Buy yourself a Bark River mini Bushcrafter. It's a very lightweight, full tang, fixed blade made with 3V steel. Absolutely fantastic little camp knife, feather sticking would be infinitely easier for you. 3V steel holds and edge for a long time, is incredibly tough and is pretty stain resistant to do the chromium levels. Not that expensive either and you can find them on the secondary even cheaper. Probably doesn't weight more than your folder.
Loved this format dude. More please! :D
You, Outdoor Chef Life, Die Hard Fishing, and other fishing UA-camrs should do a 5 week survival challenge on a deserted island. Like The Island with Bear Grylls. That would be sooo awesome to see you guys smash it, surviving on what the ocean provides.
Fr❤
Another PO thing to consider is to make sure your fire poker isn't made out of it, or (if you can tell) was sitting in it. I made that mistake once and then got the oil inside my sleeping bag. Had it all over the place! Not fun to be itchy everywhere.
Great video. i love the change!!
Hey good to see you man, watched this before but going to enjoy again
Awesome video man. I've been a long time sub and love this lifestyle. Keep it up!
