    You helped me with my recording setup. I never use the buttons you mentioned earlier to cut some background noise. Thanks

    TY 4 UR video.
    When I insert a preamp in the Unison slot, the signal drops so much that I have to crank the output knob all the way up. Is that okay?

      And try to get your input to a comfortable level before you crank your output but yea unison affects gain staging. We have a video explaining unison as well

      Sorry for the late reply. you don’t have any plugins to build a vocal chain on the Apollo except only Autotune?

    You eq'd before compressing? Any specific reason?

    • @rebelears
      @rebelears  Рік тому +1

      I use the EQ to shape the vocals (tone,presence etc.) Then I use the compressor to bring out the shape I crafted with the EQ. You can order your chain how you see fit, there is no specific way to do it. It just determines on what you want to do, like I use “subtractive EQ” AFTER compression when mixing sometimes as well. Try different orders to your chain and you’ll get a different sound that you may like.

    why you didnt put the 610 in the unison slot?

      This was just a quick template for beginners. There will be other videos where I dive into the more advanced techniques of recording through the Apollo. Explaining the unison option should be on a more detailed look into the console. This is just a quick template video for beginners

      @@rebelears You could have just simply said 'this unison tab is where the preamp goes' sounds simple enough of a beginner advice to me lmao for beginners, printed EQ is NOT the way to teach. A preamp and MAYBE compression....because alot of the stuff beginners learn is afterwards...not before hand, this only confuses them on gain levels and when to compress and even what to compress...let alone trying to teach a beginner eq before or after compression and why.....btw LA-2A is attacking the initial transient, the 1176 is the one where you can 'level out' the rest of the vocal parts....which is way over the head of a beginner anyways....this whole idea's good...just not well planned and executed.
