Rain Barrels Are Great. Until They Overflow…So Be Prepared

I have a 150 gallon setup. Its 3 fifty five gallon barrels piped together. They still fill up quickly. Instead of diverting it into the yard I have an overflow pipe empty into one of my short raised beds.

Yea, crazy how quickly it fills up. I have ten 55 gallon containers spread throughout but never feels like its enough during the summer heat.

@@uphillacre1585 I hear you on never enough. I always seem to run out of rain water a day or two before it rains. I will likely get a used ibc tote next year if I can find one on craigslist.
