"Do You Practice Jiu-Jitsu? 🛡️ How Does It Hold Up Against Strikes?"

- Here's a glimpse into my latest Street-Jits seminar in Norway. It's become increasingly clear to me that many Jiu-Jitsu practitioners today are unfamiliar with the art's fundamental purpose: self-preservation. While I hold a deep respect for the prowess of Jiu-Jitsu competitors in grappling tournaments, it's crucial to understand that competitive grappling skills don't seamlessly translate to self-preservation. A prevalent issue within the Jiu-Jitsu community is the lack of knowledge on how to effectively apply grappling techniques against an assailant, particularly one who throws punches.
In this video segment, I guide a diverse group of Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, some of whom are exploring this concept for the first time, on how to counter a striking opponent. What excites me about the Street-Jits Program I've created is its ability to blend seamlessly with any grappling foundation, significantly improving a student's capability to handle real-life confrontations involving interpersonal violence.
Interested in diving deeper into the Street-Jits Program? Whether you're looking for one-on-one coaching or a seminar for your academy, feel free to send me a private message.
P.S. I'm excited to announce an upcoming seminar in Brighton (UK) at the end of April 2024, focusing on the Street-Jits program. If you're nearby, don't miss this incredible opportunity to enhance your skills firsthand (info coming this week - check www.schoolofcrazymonkey.org under 'seminars' for more info).
PPS. Please share 💚
"Rodney is one of my students and black belts. He has taught his approach to 'Street-Jits' many times ast my Academy in Beverly Hills. His approach to self-defense through jiu-jitus is simple, functional and it works. I encourage all jiu-jitsu academies to train and certify in his program" - Rigan Machado, 8th Degree Coral Belt
