Going out in the boat is one thing I do miss. When I lived in Florida we were on the water every weekend. I was a lot younger too haha. My boss always said a boat is a hole in the water you pour money into Lol. He had a bigger boat than us. Ya'll Stay Safe and God Bless.
Same here. LOL Miss staying out, at night and watching the schools of fish going in circles, shining with the light of the moon. Catching hugh Blue Fish one right after the other. The salty air. LOL. I almost gave birth to one of my children on our boat. Went into labor, and delivered a few hours later. Heee, heeee. Things that we remember. LMAO
I know nothing about boats, but looks like you and your Dad are experts. This channel is very interesting,so I will keep watching. Keep bringing the videos. Have fun.
Can't wait for you to get it out on the water n cruise with wind in your face! Such an awesome feeling! You're gonna love it! Hope you get it right n its not a money pit! Call the guy you got it from n straight up ask him what issues he had with it so you can fix it! Thats a good motor! Good Luck with ot Kevin n Dad! Yeeee Hawww on the Lake man! Be safe n God Bless!.. 🙏🙏✨💙✨💪💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸
Your awesome Kevin. Is there anything you can't do ? You guys are just awesome. Rachel is an amazing woman too ... 💐 God bless you I just love your channels..
Listen to Jimmy Houston. Have a kill switch on the engine and never disengage that switch. Two friends of his were killed by their boat when they fell in the water.
Kevin just a suggestion okay but the next time you start it up with the water hose hooked up to it take your hand and see how hot the water is coming out of the pump and if it's scorching hot then I'd change the pump itself out too cause it shouldn't be extremely hot it should stay cool enough to touch it too have a great day now
You are going to Love that 90 horse 4 stoke..your bout is going to fly...you do have a pilot's licence..don't you ..?? Now that funny: i don't care who you are - that funny right there..
Kevin, Congradulations on your up graded motor. I hope you don't mind a sugestion. Check the pitch on your prop. That can in fact make a hugh difference when you are checking the motors performance and speed. We always invested in trim tabs also on every boat we owed. Best thing if your considering water sking. My first boat was a small cabin cruiser with a 125 outboard Johnson. Was a boater for over 4 decades, and active member of the United States Power Squadron. Divorce ended that. LOL. Even thou I'm a woman, you simply don't forget somethings. LOL Much love, good luck. G-D Bless and Stay Safe. Don't forget your life jackets. Haaaaa, Haaaa.
Sorry Kevin, this comment has nothing to do with your skills, even though they're fantastic, it has to do with the rockin' background music you used while changing the motor! It sounded great! Reminded me of " 38 Special"! The first song at least, did!
I have an Alumacraft 1860 tunnel hull with a 50hp Evinrude. A state patrol buddy clocked me on radar at top speed from a bridge at 35 mph. Your G3 1860 dry hull weight is 100 lbs less than mine. Your G3 should "flat fly" with that 90hp Yamaha!!! Congrats on your motor find. Hope it serves you well.
When I was in Florida, Hudson, FL., I worked at Hudson Marina. We had Johnson, Evinrude and OMC Outboard Motors. The Evinrude had a V-4 Motor... it was similar to your Yamaha.... People loved it..!
You are so knowledgeable about things on your farm. I wouldn’t have had the faintest idea what to do. It would cost a pretty if you had to take to a dealer to do the swap.
Get some bigger finn's more control on the water, plus get a safety bar that hooks to the motor and trailer it just holds the motor in place while driving and extends the life of the tilt and trim motor.
I remember my father having a 55gal drum of water in our basement and he had a small Evinrude clipped to it and that is where he worked on his friends motor over the winter (it was only a very small one). We did not own a boat, went out fishing once or twice a summer in a rented row boat! Good luck with your new motor!
I have the same boat. Sorta but an express 90 2 stroke is 225 a 70 4 stroke is 250 lbs I figure a 90 is 300 my 60 tlra kinda like your old motor is 180 ish I figure a 70 would be the happy medium so how she sits in the water ? My boat rated max is 90 hp
I did the same thing, replaced my 130 Yamaha two stroke with a Yamaha 115 four stroke. My tilt and trim works on the engine, but not on the controller. Was the 10 pin plug your only electrical connection? I’m thinking I may have knocked a wire off when I pulled out the oil cable and the gauge plug cables.
I have a 1860 cc, looking at repowering from a 90hp 2 stroke to a new 4 stroke of some size maybe even a suzuki. Any issues with the extra weight of that 90 4 stroke you have? Any handling issues with the extra wt on the transom?
Hello Kevin May I know please did you change gages? And how many pins are there on your connector? Can you please tell me if something needs to be changed in the electrical? I'll be very grateful. Thanks
Boat guys I need a little advice. I'm looking at swapping an old Evenrude for a new four stroke Yamaha, Merc or Honda. The boat doesn't have any electronics, no speedo or tach. Will I have to replace the steering cable?
Is that 18 ft boat rated for a 90 hp ? If not you taking a big liability risk . As a retired marine tech you could change steering to hydro to up rating .
I can’t believe how quiet it is. Good job. I can’t wait for the fish. Good teamwork
Nice purchase. I'm sure you and your family will be enjoying being out on the water more.

Thank you
I had a Yamaha 90 for years. loved that motor. Enjoy!

Your awesome Kevin. Is there anything you can't do ? You guys are just awesome. Rachel is an amazing woman too ... 💐 God bless you I just love your channels..
Great find. When you are able to get on the water you will have a lot of fun. We always kept a back up motor in case we broke down.
4 stroke is definitely the way to go. So so much quieter. Enjoy.
Good luck with that! Don’t let it be a money pit! LOL
Okie hot engine swap just needs a bit fine tuning and your off to the flats
I don't know anything about boat motor's and I'm sure you will figure it out 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼stay safe and thank you for sharing have a wonderful day 😊😊
Hey Kevin I know you’ll fix it, great info thanks! 🤩👏👍👍👍💯💯💯
Nice rig! I'm looking at a G3 or SeaArk for Florida. Love what you do!
This is going to get be a better engine and quiter and a few more horses.
Hope you get things worked out so Y'all can get out on the water. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Hi kevin say hi to the family you shoure no your stuff have an osum day
Wait a minute! Was that your dad? I don’t remember seeing him on the channel before.
What does being a four-stroke make it different from a two-stroke? Does that mean it will have more horsepower?
Awesome
❤️❤️❤️
👍❤️
B O A T
I have a g3 flat bottom with a 60 horse 4 stroke. Im wanting to upgrade to a 90. Was wondering what your top speed is in the boat with the 90
With just me like 37mph
🖐🖐🖐
👍💞💞💝💖💝💞💞👍
I think you have made a great purchase.
Can't wait to see yall take it out.
I also like to go fast on the water. You can get to the best fishing spots faster. More time spent fishing less time traveling.❤❤🐟🐟🐟
Congrats more power Rachel will love that lol ❤️❤️🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🥰
Heck yeah
❤❤
It seems like it's always something when there is a change. Hopefully you can get it fixed easy enough.
Listen to Jimmy Houston. Have a kill switch on the engine and never disengage that switch. Two friends of his were killed by their boat when they fell in the water.
Awesome motor. Congratulations . God bless . Wish you all the best with your new motor.
Thank you
Cant wait to see it on the water

Yamaha nothing better 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
You will figure it out and you will be out on the water soon! Awesome bigger motor.
Why not keep it for emergency back up.
Congrats on new motor 👍👀
That was nice of your Dad to help you out 👍.
You two should go open it up 🙌💥.
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
What year is the motor?
Boot and scoot now .
Great job!
GOOD JOB, UNTAMED OUTDOORS, MEN 🔧 🔨 🧰 🔧 🔨
Big engine are you sure it won’t sink? Cheers. Chris from England.

That boat is going to scoot!!! Can't wait to see it on the water!
Looking forward to the next video. Will be exciting to see ya'll on the lake. Hope ya'll have a bless day. Love you guys.

Like the purchase now to get out and fish !!!
4 stroke anything is so much quieter. That’s a decent size motor so it should do the job. Hope you get the issues sorted. Take care & cheers from 🐨🦘🥰

That brings back memories. Back in the 1960's, my dad and me used a garbage can to test out the Evinrude, Lark III, 40 hp outboard with manual tilt.
Going to be fun!!!
How did you stop the throttle from getting stuck?
Had to adjust the linkage
I have a boat that's been sitting for about 10 years and the throttle seems a lil stiff what could i do to fix it? I know little about boats

I know this is 2 years old but never run the motor with the muffs.
The 4 stroke Yamahas come with a hose hook up so you don't need the muffs.
Is that 18 ft boat rated for a 90 hp ? If not you taking a big liability risk . As a retired marine tech you could change steering to hydro to up rating .
Back in the day i went from a Banshee to a Raptor. Boats are the same way. Once you go four stroke there's no looking back.
Hey I I just did a 2s to 4s repower (Yamaha ) but it cranks no spark
Hey Kevin, when are you taking this baby out for some test runs?
I’m trynna turn my 16’ bass boat into a fast boat.
Did the motor have a lifting eye?
Hey nice video keep up the good work
That 60 2 stroke is a good motor
