I think jimin's high notes and unique dance makes impossible for idols to cover bts songs on point.... And that's why I really admire all the idols who covered their songs and had put sooo much effort into it..!!!!!
Lots of things actually. Besides jimin's bright vocal color, his growl is very different too, like the way he does in fire. And overall bts is the swagest group, I swear. From the rapline to the vocalists, they all have top notch sense of rhythm and beat, especially that they hail from hiphop origins so even in less hiphop songs they retain their grit, rhythm and percussiveness. They go hard. Besides jimin there are the rapline's percussive delivery and complex flow, jungkook's r&b-ish swag and stability, Taehyung's soulful and sonorous and resounding singing and growls which is also among the rarest vocal quality, and jin's versatility and stability. Really one of a kind synergy.

5:02 Stray Kids did a great job covering Dionysus. Not many idols have did a cover of Dionysus because its choreo requires a lot of energy, but Stray Kids didn't only dance but also sang this song. This Dionysus cover was one of the many reasons I became a Stay.
Except life goes on, in which there was only a singer, this video is the demonstration why BTS are BTS, the most famous above all of them. You can feel their energy, unique dancing and personalities through their performances, more of the other all, that are indeed good.

And Beomgyu himself it’s a hardcore V Stan xdd, Jongho from ATEEZ loves Jungkook literally (he wants to be my competition 😑) And let’s not talk about D-Crunch uffff (they all have their bias almost each member) since they started of as a hip hop group as well (just like BTS) one of the main reasons that they are such fanboys of them.

In case you didn't know as well, they did a mashup of three songs in one cover. And, they're 4th Gen leaders, one of Korea's highest charting groups, they have amazing individuality. And they've done multiple covers that aren't BTS.

No hate towards the boys covering Idol, but it just makes you appreciate even more that Jimin has such a crazy range and volume in his voice. Also most of the covers cant bring the uniqueness of Namjoons or Jimins voice. Also the Ateez cover of I need U is crazy good, with all their own elements integrated.

So well said. BTS used to cover Shinwa's Perfect Man and Rain's Rainism. So nice to see these artists covering now their great songs. I also watch dancegroups dancing their songs. Even the difficult dances like Mic drop, Fire and black Swan. And they all did a good job.
I’ve noticed that BTS songs are really hard to cover for both boy groups and girl groups but all groups did really good. My personal favorite was kino- pentagon covering life goes on Edit: !WARNING! there is a user under my original comment name is (BTSistheBEST)who is hating on the other groups covering bts’s songs, if you don’t want to read or answer those types of comments i suggest you don’t read my comment section. The idol groups did a good job on the covers. It's an honor for an artists songs to be liked that they are covered. Jimin's and Jungkook's vocals were missed though. 💜

Wow Ateez.. They're really good. Normally covers don't taste like Bts, but these guys are so different. They add something of themselves and it turns out beautiful. I hope they see a lot of value. I love them so much 🥺💜
Awesome covers but one ingredient that I was trying to look for was emotion. When BTS performs, they annihilate the stage as if their life depended on it. You can see and feel their intense emotion when they sing and dance. They put their heart and soul in it so it's not just a performance but a piece of art.
That is exactly what I thought. A few had the dance really really well but the emotions..... that's what fighting for a dream exposes. It can't be mimicked.

It’s honestly hard covering bts songs cause there is this unique characteristic that only bts has. Maybe it’s the message that every bts song has. All of them are good but my favorite would be the life goes on cover and niki enhypen covering jimin’s lie.
I feel like what’s missing really is that same energy that bts radiates you know. They connect more with their songs (of course) but it’s that connection that kinda amplifies their performances as a whole. Also I feel like a lot of their songs are truly tailored for them specifically. The vocal range and choreography I really think that’s something that just can’t be replicated. But nonetheless these groups did an OUTSTANDING job.
ATEEZ always does something to make it their own, and I love that about them. Their performance of Bloood, Sweat and Tears should be on here. It's iconic!
What I like about both Stray Kids and ATEEZ covering my favorite group ever is that each group gives their own take on the song while keeping true to BTS.
I actually want them to cover other high energy songs like N.O and We Are Bulletproof pt. 2 because they did so well in Very Good. Half of them can do some acrobatic stunts too!

I've noticed that when female idols cover male groups like BTS and wear slacks or pants? The female idols get to really show off their dance abilities. They are not restricted by skimpy or very short outfits that limit what dance moves they can do.
TXT covers are just amazing They are the only ones I trust to perfectly cover bts songs tbh Ateez and enhypen are also good at this and I like the loona cover Txt is just top tier at this
Not a K-pop fan, and I only know BTS, tbh. But respect to all these artists. They're all working hard! I'm glad I got to see them too. I especially liked the Dionysus cover by Stray Kids. They were hitting the intensity of the song. Also, it looked like someone did Jin's back-up rock vocals live, and that's stunning that they did it with the choreo. I liked the one by Enhyphen too. And the one by Pentagon's Kino. Just a month ago, I had never thought about exploring K-pop. I had a very set genre for most of my life. I owe BTS the exposure. Edit: The ones by Ateez were good too.

I really love seeing BTS covers because it shows that the artist are trying to show respect to our boys and I just love seeing idols showing love towards other idols it’s very heartwarming 💜💜💜

DAMN! My 10 & 13 year old children are BTS army, I’am a 33 year old mother & no spring chicken. Have to admit, I was totally engaged watching BTS members in all video’s, talk show performances & award show’s so far. No matter how great other artists are, so far they’ve managed to take over every song/video 🤯 even when my kids told me there’s a song with Psy, I thought it would be cringe, but I was wrong, they even smashed that. BTS are ridiculously talented it’s crazy! I’m a British Indian & I don’t understand Korean, but when these boys sing, it doesn’t matter & it’s really therapeutic, I now jam with my kids… like I know what they’re saying. My kid’s have BTS posters all over their bedroom walls, it’s so cute they’re proud members of the BTS ARMY, I asked them, can I now be a part of BTS ARMY, I’m a big fan now? They said, after you’ve watched all their music videos, show performances online then you can. Today they said, “your a part of BTS ARMY member now mummy” it’s so lovely how seriously they take it & I’am happy about it as BTS are more than just famous celebs, music artists etc, they’re the best role model’s any parent can wish for their children to look up to. As they not only bring joy, melody, art, they teach such positive messages via music, talk shows, social media platforms, award show’s & all the work they do to raise awareness to make positive change’s GLOBALLY! Regardless of their language barrier can be hard, they don’t use that as an excuse to not arrange very important meeting’s, with powerful people like presidents etc. Not only that, the morals, discipline & respect they show to elder’s, women etc is amazing. I can relate as in Indian culture we have similar teaching’s. We teach our children especially being British Indians. So important they learn these value’s in life. BTS make it easier as my kids can see them be so respectful in ALL way’s. 😅I’ve been telling my husband when BTS come🇬🇧let’s take the kids to their concert. It's sweet your children are armies, and thank you for being so supportive of them. It's wonderful to know you like BTS as well! As for the the number of members in kpop bands, it all really depends. BTS itself is a bigger band. But not huge with only seven members. Have you ever heard of NCT? They have 23 members. There are very small groups though, too. The smallest they usually seem is 4, (such as Blackpink, Mamamoo, Aespa-) But I've even seen some with only 2 members. So it all really depends on what their agency thinks and how many members they want to have debut in one group.
Ahh they all did such a great job but why is no one talking about Enhypen's Boy in Love cover? Their energy levels were on point and the more recent version of it that they did was on stage and with their own live vocals - and they killed it!

When other idols cover BTS songs I take that as a hell of a compliment considering they only debuted June 2013. To me it shows the impact they’ve had on their counterparts.
Honestly, ATEEZ do the best covers! They will keep the vibe of original song, but make it their own and i love that! Their vocals and stage presence make you feel the emotions of the song, that's why they are also called as one of the best performers in K-pop!🏴☠️💜 Btw i am also impressed by Pentagon's cover of life goes on...💜

The thing with covering bts song is either they don't have the same intensity and/or don't convey the good emotion. For exemple, I notice it especially with the covers of I need you in this video, Ateez got the good intensity that the choreography demand, but they were too agressif and tried to be too sexy, but I need you is more nostalgic and desperate. That's probably because the songs are really personnal to bts and, like they said, they talk about their own story. And that's why, I think, the best covers are the ones that artist change a bit of the original so that they can put a bit of them in the song like Pentagon-Kino did with Life goes on.
totally agree with u. yes I liked ateez cover, I was amazed by their intensity and vocal range it’s just that the song lost it’s meaning. desperation and longing was the main point of the song. but I was really impressed by ateez cover, they did really well. it’s just that BTS songs are really hard to cover, their songs are something u can’t touch and change. Like what mamamoo said they were afraid to cover BST, maybe coz the song is just that delicate. I love G-IDLE, TXT, enhypen, ateez and kino’s cover still.
the perfect balance is hard to achieve. adding too much or too little into the covers ruins the song. I think that’s the reason why most idols stray away from covering BTS songs.

In case you didn't know as well, they did a mashup of three songs in one cover. And, they're 4th Gen leaders, one of Korea's highest charting groups, they have amazing individuality. And they've done multiple covers that aren't BTS.

Bts used to cover other artist song during their junior days.. now, their songs are being covered by other artist/group as well. Bts reached the state that the juniors and other artist look up to them and admiring them as a sunbaenim and as awell known artist to follow.Bts are legendary

Awesome covers but one ingredient that I was trying to look for was emotion. When BTS performs, they annihilate the stage as if their life depended on it. You can see and feel their intense emotion when they sing and dance. They put their heart and soul in it so it's not just a performance but a piece of art.
That is exactly what I thought. A few had the dance really really well but the emotions..... that's what fighting for a dream exposes. It can't be mimicked.

It’s honestly hard covering bts songs cause there is this unique characteristic that only bts has. Maybe it’s the message that every bts song has. All of them are good but my favorite would be the life goes on cover and niki enhypen covering jimin’s lie.
I feel like what’s missing really is that same energy that bts radiates you know. They connect more with their songs (of course) but it’s that connection that kinda amplifies their performances as a whole. Also I feel like a lot of their songs are truly tailored for them specifically. The vocal range and choreography I really think that’s something that just can’t be replicated. But nonetheless these groups did an OUTSTANDING job.
ATEEZ always does something to make it their own, and I love that about them. Their performance of Bloood, Sweat and Tears should be on here. It's iconic!
What I like about both Stray Kids and ATEEZ covering my favorite group ever is that each group gives their own take on the song while keeping true to BTS.

I've noticed that when female idols cover male groups like BTS and wear slacks or pants? The female idols get to really show off their dance abilities. They are not restricted by skimpy or very short outfits that limit what dance moves they can do.
It's a full on compliment other artists performing BTs songs.

Not a K-pop fan, and I only know BTS, tbh. But respect to all these artists. They're all working hard! I'm glad I got to see them too. I especially liked the Dionysus cover by Stray Kids. They were hitting the intensity of the song. Also, it looked like someone did Jin's back-up rock vocals live, and that's stunning that they did it with the choreo. I liked the one by Enhyphen too. And the one by Pentagon's Kino. Just a month ago, I had never thought about exploring K-pop. I had a very set genre for most of my life. I owe BTS the exposure.

DAMN! My 10 & 13 year old children are BTS army, I’am a 33 year old mother & no spring chicken. Have to admit, I was totally engaged watching BTS members in all video’s, talk show performances & award show’s so far. No matter how great other artists are, so far they’ve managed to take over every song/video 🤯 even when my kids told me there’s a song with Psy, I thought it would be cringe, but I was wrong, they even smashed that. BTS are ridiculously talented it’s crazy! I’m a British Indian & I don’t understand Korean, but when these boys sing, it doesn’t matter & it’s really therapeutic, I now jam with my kids… like I know what they’re saying. My kid’s have BTS posters all over their bedroom walls, it’s so cute they’re proud members of the BTS ARMY, I asked them, can I now be a part of BTS ARMY, I’m a big fan now? They said, after you’ve watched all their music videos, show performances online then you can. Today they said, “your a part of BTS ARMY member now mummy” it’s so lovely how seriously they take it & I’am happy about it as BTS are more than just famous celebs, music artists etc, they’re the best role model’s any parent can wish for their children to look up to. As they not only bring joy, melody, art, they teach such positive messages via music, talk shows, social media platforms, award show’s & all the work they do to raise awareness to make positive change’s GLOBALLY! Regardless of their language barrier can be hard, they don’t use that as an excuse to not arrange very important meeting’s, with powerful people like presidents etc. Not only that, the morals, discipline & respect they show to elder’s, women etc is amazing. I can relate as in Indian culture we have similar teaching’s. We teach our children especially being British Indians. So important they learn these value’s in life. BTS make it easier as my kids can see them be so respectful in ALL way’s. 😅I’ve been telling my husband when BTS come🇬🇧let’s take the kids to their concert. Haha I want to see them too🙈they’re AMAZING! Whoever reads this sending you all lot’s of love & well wishes 🙌🧿♥️🔥

As for the the number of members in kpop bands, it all really depends. BTS itself is a bigger band. But not huge with only seven members. Have you ever heard of NCT? They have 23 members. There are very small groups though, too. The smallest they usually seem is 4, (such as Blackpink, Mamamoo, Aespa-) But I've even seen some with only 2 members. So it all really depends on what their agency thinks and how many members they want to have debut in one group.
Ahh they all did such a great job but why is no one talking about Enhypen's Boy in Love cover? Their energy levels were on point and the more recent version of it that they did was on stage and with their own live vocals - and they killed it!

The thing with covering bts song is either they don't have the same intensity and/or don't convey the good emotion. For exemple, I notice it especially with the covers of I need you in this video, Ateez got the good intensity that the choreography demand, but they were too agressif and tried to be too sexy, but I need you is more nostalgic and desperate. That's probably because the songs are really personnal to bts and, like they said, they talk about their own story. And that's why, I think, the best covers are the ones that artist change a bit of the original so that they can put a bit of them in the song like Pentagon-Kino did with Life goes on.

Like what mamamoo said they were afraid to cover BST, maybe coz the song is just that delicate. I love G-IDLE, TXT, enhypen, ateez and kino’s cover still.
the perfect balance is hard to achieve. adding too much or too little into the covers ruins the song. I think that’s the reason why most idols stray away from covering BTS songs.
