Really developing a passion for smoking salsas and dips and want to expand to hot sauces, yours is the first video I've watched, so excited to try. Love the shirt, shout out from RVA

My three favorite foods, my three favorite life saving foods. Medicinal miracles ,medicine is food and food is medicine. Praise Jesus, praise God. Praise the Holy Spirit. Can I get a Hallelujah and amen.🕊️❤️🥰🔥🙌
Gracias a Dios
If you've got a dehydrator, a good option is to dehydrate what was strained off from the cayenne sauce and grind it up as a spice blend.
They look awesome and you made it look easy. Good job sir.
Thank you!
Looks delicious. Happy Father's Day!
Thank you!
I’m going to try this out with a little twist. I’m going to try smoked Jalapeño and Pablano sauce. Great video Thanks!!!
Sounds 😋
Thank you so much
Thank you for watching!
Thanks for sharing
Boudreaux and Clovis need to add some lyrics to the blues riff you play in this. Capsaicin Blues
😎😎😎
Thanks
Thank you. New here, but will these keep for a year; until the next peppers come to the garden? God Bless and stay safe.
Thanks for your question. Please check a few of my newer hot sauce videos for a more shelf stable recipe!
@@virginiagraceliving Thank you
Now I'm saying "hala_peenyo" !! 🤣😂🤣
Ahh, good stuff, man. SoCal approved!
I’m going to try both but being a garlic junkie I don’t think you put enough. If there is such a thing as enough garlic
Add as much as you like!
Thanks buddy from South Africa, would be a bit expensive to order a bottle of your source but will try and do the same here, do you think it will enhance the flavor if you ferment the cayenne peppers after they were smoked?
I'd recommend fermenting and adding smoked peppers at the end. The smoking process is antimicrobial and doesn't lend to fermentation well.
Remarkable job !! Thank you
i like how you didn't strain it, like a lot of people do. i think you lose a lot of flavor straining it.
Can you take dried cayenne peppers and rehydrate them and do that? I can not find fresh cayennes in my market.
Yes you can!
Thank you!
Use a pair of kitchen scissors to cut the stems off is much faster.
Wow that is very yummy im going to give a big 👍👍💜
Thank you!
What device was that in your grill? Some kind of cold smoker i gather? I can taste it through the bits! what compelled you to cook like this? My influence was
my Poppa. damn i miss happy hour with him.
Looks good.
where you get the shrink wrap material to seal bottles?
They come with the bottles on Amazon
Throw the Scrap pepper cuts to the Chickens ? Pre-seasoned Chicken. 😂
Good Job!
About what temp do you smoke the peppers @ ?
As low as you possibly can. I used a smoke tube that doesn't produce much heat.
I use a masterbuilt electric smoker with a cold smoker attachment so I can probably smoke close to whatever outside ambient temp is. Thanks for the quick reply. Do you sell your sauces?
@@basketballjones3914 No problem. I think that will work great! I do not currently sell any sauces. I sold a few when I made this video, but decided it was more work than fun. I like to make enough for my family and prefer to give them as gifts to friends.
@@virginiagraceliving LOL, I totally get it. IDK if you're in VA or if that's just your youtube name but I live in Rockville VA so if you're local we should be friends 😁 I just found the channel this morning and really dig it. Keep up the good work and have a great day
How do you store? Where to buy black shrink seals please?
Looks great. Thanks
I store the Jalapeno in the refrigerator due to lower vinager content. The cayenne should be good to go on the shelf for a while. The bottles come with the black shrink wrap. Check the description for the link (Amazon).
Neat!
Hello,
here is Christina from.Germany. I got a question:
Don't I have to cann the green Jalapeno Dauce?
And do I have to put the bottle into the frigerator or is it okay to put them in the shelter?
Warm greetings from.Germany,
Christina
Hello Christina! I love Germany, such a beautiful country. This particular video and method would need to be refrigerated. I have a few others that show how to make a shelf stable sauce. Check these out 👇

Have a nice weekend.

18:44 Dog says "Hey hey hey, what you got cooking?"
Can you tell me how long it keeps for. As I am new to this, I thought you have to water bath everything for it to keep longer. 😊
These last a couple months refrigerated. I have also water bath canned them for longer storage.
@@virginiagraceliving thank you, and thank you for the quick response.
Sweetie, if that dutch oven used to be nonstick, you are now poisoning your family with the coating. Please throw that out. Even if the coating isn't poisonous, they are getting flecks of that material in their stomachs.
@@tjduprey it has been discarded
Nice video, but please consider chucking that pot of yours where you sautéed the onions and garlic and smoked chillies. Teflon is really bad for your health!
I have gotten this comment many many times! This video is over 3 years old now and I have since disposed of that pan haha. Please check out some of my newer vids!

where can you get fresh cayenne though?
I grow my own.
@@virginiagraceliving Do you know where someone may buy some or even seeds?

Dogs nose is running!😛
Thought you said you were gonnstrain it. Doesn't look like you did
I like your videos but could you please put a subtitle in Spanish to understand you thank you
Veré lo que puedo hacer.
Great video, but I cringed when you were cutting the cayenne peppers. Looked like the back side of a butter knife was used. Time to sharpen that baby.
🤣 Time for a new knife! I sharpen it all the time, but doesn't stay sharp. It's cheap, but so am I....
@@virginiagraceliving LOL, me too, I get it.
HI. IS THIS SHELF STABLE
Too much noise in the background very distracting
Thanks for your feedback! This is one of my older videos. I think I have gotten better at editing and managing those types of things. I hope you'll give me another chance and check out some newer videos!
2 minutes in and already annoyed. Knife scapping peppers and that’s about it. Hard pass on this vid
Damn man throw away that pot, the Teflon is all scraped up that isn't healthy for your family. Get aluminum or stainless.
I get this comment a lot 😂. This is an old video. I have since taken this advice and use stainless steel pots now. Check out some of my newer vids!
I love hot sauce and trying out new hot sauces. I never thought of making my own until I just saw your video. I bet hot sauce is that much better when it's home made. Great video.
Hot sauce is one of the easiest things on the planet to make!
You can get/be so creative.
You gotta a no-stick pot, peppers, the fruit of your choice and your fav Herbs! Go, Baby, go!
Just remember to slowly simmer for at least :30 and use a good blender.
Everything will turn out great❤
How long will these last in the refrigerator?
At least a month if not longer. I have made an updated shelf stable video also if interested.
Awesome vid, the sauce looks amazing I'm going to copy it. Just a heads up you're in severe need of a new pan, your nonstick is non existent and that stuff is cooking into your food along with who knows what metal that's now leeching into food.
This video is quite old. I have since replaced it and made several updated vids!
put a little bit of sugar give it a try
Awesome video. The real life going on around you make the video priceless, the kids, the dog...it's real life. Thanks from a new subscriber.
Much appreciated!!
How long do these typically last before expiration, and should they be refrigerated? Thanks for the content!
I would recommend refrigerating these recipes.
Nice video. What is that you are using to smoke the peppers with. The long metal device with the holes in it?
That is a pellet tube smoker. They can be found on Amazon as well as the pellets for smoking amzn.to/46KIIfL

Love the video! Had a huge pepper yield this year- I’m Making hot sauce for Xmas gifts!
Thank you so much!! Whoever gets them will be lucky!
Great hot sauce, but dude! Learn proper knife skills!
Old video probably 2 years old or more.
Really great video! I just started making my own hot sauce recently thanks to a friend gifting me 2 gallons of fresh habanero peppers. Got great results so decided to move on to cayenne sauce and this came up- just perfect!! Thanks for sharing! ---- I've seen the bottles you use but never the shrink wrap seals. WOW! Game changer for gifts!! Thanks again
Thanks for watching! And yes they make great gifts!!! Please feel free to share the video with your friends! We can use all the help we can get!
How long will it last
Where did you find the Cayenne peppers? I cat seem to find fresh cayenne anywhere.
I grow all the peppers here.
Your weekend shares are honestly my favorite. I look forward to them
Thanks! Another video will be out around 8am today!
Hey! Great video but, one thing for some reason I couldn't get the measurements for the cayenne hot sauce. Could you please repost the ingred. ?
If you go to the description I have links to the full recipes. I hope this helps!
Hah! You are now popping up! BTW, instead of gloves, great gramma sealed her hands with Vaseline, or even Vicksburg. Back in the t
50s the light film-type gloves were not yet available.
Does the cooking process take away some of the heat?
.
Not that I have noticed lol. Adding onion and garlic take a little away. Anything you add that's not peppers will a little
Dude...the dog sniffing at what you're making is priceless. My Dozer used to do the same thing no matter what I was cooking. Thanks for that, man!
Thank you for sharing these ! Making the jalapeño one now 😊
How long can you store this in fridge before it goes bad.?
Awesome, do you have to refrigerate these once sealed? Or only after opening? PS great video.
If you pH test and they are good to go you don't need to refrigerate. I have started canning what I won't use quickly. check out my newer video for more details. ua-cam.com/video/A6s1kxVcUrE/v-deo.html
It all looks great! Smoking the cayenne looks especially delicious! I have one thing though I saw that bugged me. The pot you were using shows it was teflon coated that someone had used metal utensils on and scraped off the teflon. I've heard that stuff is toxic! A suggestion to you is get a better pan without teflon. The shrink wrap idea is great! Nice job. Would make great gifts!
Thank you sir! Great video!❤
How long do they last in the fridge?
A couple months usually
Where did you get those bottles with the little wrap
amzn.to/456rTf5
Thank you they both look amazing😋
I can’t wait to make them good idea w smoking your peppers
Love your dog haha cute
Thank you
Hi what's the shelf life of these hot sauces? thanks. new Sub here.
For longer shelf life check out some of my newer sauce videos. These will last a month or more on the shelf and longer in the fridge, but due to the oil used during cooking will go bad faster than some other sauces I have since made. Thanks for checking out my channel!
thanks@@virginiagraceliving
Love the dog licking his lips watching you cook this
The dog made me laugh. Surprise it didn't burn smelling through his nose. I was wondering what food the Doberman thought it was. Lol
Yes! 🤣
Although the dog may be panting from the spiciness. When my husband cooks, we cannot stay in the house because it is like a gas bomb went off 😆 everyone is coughing, eyes red and lots of tears...burns like hell. But he just stands in the kitchen and cooks his food...no problem at all. I don't know how he does it.
Nice video. Love the smoked cayenne pepper recipe. And thanks for the shrink wrapped thingies. Link to them?

Great video and sauce came excellent, better than store bought. I don’t know if your supposed to compost onion, garlic, and any hot peppers. Supposedly the worms aren’t Mexican 🤣
🤣
Came by to rewatch this video today. I have Jalapeños coming out the wazoo, so I'm using your Jalapeño-Garlic recipe today. Blessings 🙌
Thank you so much! I'm working on a new video today. Another simple hot sauce vid.
Okay, I'll check it out. All the other hotter peppers are just coming in, plus more jalapeños on the way.
I love this! Hubby goes through hot sauce like crazy, would be nice to make our own and he can spice it up to what he wants, I have thai and jalapeños in the garden!! Can you pls post the links to the bottles and seals you use ❤
Thats awesome! I will update the description with a link for the bottles now!

Wonder how long the jalapeños sauce will last in cupboard unopened
How long does these last sealed up?
If the pH is below 4 they can last quite awhile. This is an older video check out some of my newer sauce videos!
Do the bottles need to be stored in the fridge or is it shelf stable? Thanks! Looking forward to trying it
If you don't have a pH tester they are cheap on Amazon. I didn't have one at the time of this video and I stored these in the fridge or recommended them to be stored that way. In another hot sauce video I actually waterbath can some for a long shelf life!
Pecan really add a roundness to hot sauce. Really good recipe ! I made it on Traeger and it is awesome. Will try today a blend of pecan mesquite and hickory for fun to try today the jalapeño’s recipe and can’t wait to doit.
Awesome!
get rid of that pan. Youre poisoining youeself and others that eat anything cooked in it.
Great video man. Can't wait to try making these.
Cant go through thst long process.but i admire you
wow why i didn't think about the bottles and shrink wraps
Hi. Phil from Alabama Hot Sauce. I really enjoyed your video. Smoking Cayenne pepper makes a great sauce. Like you, I believe greens and beans would not be the same without some hot sauce. Thank you for taking the time to make a great video. It got you a subscriber. Again, thank you.
Thanks! Are you from Alabama? I grew up there.
@@virginiagraceliving I am not native to Alabama, but I have been here for over 25 years. I am originally from Rocky Mount, NC.
Wow! You're gonna make your daddy jealous!
We’ll done, very well done. Next time… get yourself a cookie cooling rack. Place it on you smoker/grill. I swear, it works great for smoking pepper!😊
Nothing falls through and easy to control ❤
Great tip!
Hi!! Are you an Eagle scout? My son is in the early stages of planning what his project is going to be. So proud of him.
No, I actually never did Boy Scouts! That is so awesome. What an accomplishment!
Great video! Can you tell me where you go those shrink wraps for the bottles? Thanks!
Thank you! They came with the bottles. Link in the description 😁
Dude awesome video! So sincere and genuine. I have wanted to make my own sauce for things for a very long time now, and your video finally pushed me to do it! Thanks for the video.
Subbed, also.
That makes my day!! So glad to hear that! I am happy to hear you are making your own. Homemade is so much better 😋. Thank you for your support!
Just wondering how you strained the peppers.
Good deal im loving all the sauce ideas Much Respect 😊
Could you tell me what you used to strain the sauce? Thank you.
Just a small wire mesh strainer.
@@virginiagraceliving Thank you!
They both look tasty
Thanks!
What ratio of water to vinegar are you using and what’s the ph level the ratio?
I didnt ph test and recommend refrigeration. They very well could be shelf stable but without testing I just store in the fridge. All of those bottles went out to friends and family and were used way before they could go bad.
