Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this! I'm working on an animated series, and this is a life-saver!
My pleasure Opossum, I am glad this tutorial can help with your new series! :D
What kinda series are you working on and do you need help?
that's actually very surprising! another great video, pixi!
Thank you so much Lexie, I am glad you find this video helpful!
I always knew that disney is the god of animations, specifically for the lip sync. But I never knew that they was the ones that discovered smoother lip sync. Well, I think is the obvious that they are the oldest company.
Yes ZipZap, the reason is also because theyr movies were dubbed in so many languages, and a simpler Lip Synch gave a better chance for a smoother fit!
"they was the ones"? i'm pretty sure you mean "they _were_ the ones" 🤓
@bruhmoment5974 yeah bro as you can see my english is not good because this is one of the 3 languages i talk, the other two ones being french and romanian, i know them two better than english. English is harder than you think, having one of the most spelling rules (some of that rules are broken in the most of the times in spelling, what makes it really hard to spell and write). French has spelling rules that are never broken, and i mean never, which makes it easy to learn. Romanian, in other way, has no spelling rules (unless to the letter groups che, chi, ghe, ghi, ci, ce, and the letter ,,î" what you spell them different), which means that everything you spell sounds exactly how it is written.
I teached myself to do lipsync, and I have always taken my reference from my own mouth
That's a good way to do it Jay!! :D
Same!I just say the words I want to lip sync, then imagine the shape of the mouth, then just draw it in my character!Very great way to lip sync
Is this why theres singing in every disney movie 😆
Hello Cherry, the singing in Disney movies is about the engaging experience as well and also because music speaks directly to our hearts and mind! :D
That's a really cool interesting fact I just learned today :D! I usually listen to audio/music and try to match up lip syncing XD Your previous videos have also helped! Once again Thank you so much, Pixi ^_^
Thank you! It's awesome to hear that the content helped you learn something new! Matching lip sync to audio/music can be quite a fun challenge, right? Glad my previous videos were helpful. Your support means a lot! 😊
@@PixiGags Yw :D Your videos are extremely helpful, thank you so much once again ! I agree, it is pretty fun and challenging though once you get the lip sync to watch it over again(for me again and again LMAO). 😊
In my experience, I’ve been taught to do lip sync animations using a phonemes chart to create the shapes of the character’s mouths to the words they are speaking. It’s a very resourceful approach to doing lip sync animation and/or animatics.
Hello SpacialRend, that is definitely useful! :D One of the reasons Disney animators used phrasing simplification is because their movies were dubbed in so many languages, a too detailed lip sync didn't fit them all!
@@PixiGags That is interesting, but it does make sense.😌🙂
This is so cool a kind of history, animation, music lesson!
I am glad that you find this tutorial interesting, @Lovehandels! Thank you so much for sharing. ✌✨

I want to draw serpent man (half-serpent, half-human) and I have a problem with mouth. I planned to animate it, but I want make mouth wider and I worried that talking will look unnatural. Maybe your tutorial will help me.
Yes indeed Wilczyca, you can also check Kaa the snake from "The Jungle Book" and also the snake at the end of the animated short "Rikki-Tikky-Tavi"! :D
Interesting !
Glad you think so Syndra!
In The Jungle Book, are they females or no females?
Interesting method, i thought they lip synced to how a word sounds and not how a word is pronounced, so that the audiences' mind fills in the gaps
Hello Tyto! That's correct, the animators phrased by enhancing the most interesting mouth shapes, also they used the character's body to hit the main accents. This way the movie looks and sounds believable also when dubbed in other languages.
Shere khan is embracing Sarabi?
He is fighting Baloo in this film! :D
That’s interesting I never knew they observed mouth movements by opera singers 🧐
Hello Addilynn! Yes, they were very curious and tried to learn as much as possible! :D
Bravo bravo! 😅
An extraordinary performance! 😊✌
Bad Tiger
She is the antagonist! : )
Yves-Henri?
