Nothing has made me feel older this year than hearing "I don't know what that means" to the Metallica vs. Iron Maiden question.

Good 5 years at least coming up with all the competitors he spoke about, exciting to see these guys doing multiple disciplines

You can tell from his answers that Tom has been hyper focussed on being the best version of himself and getting every ounce of ability out through his pedals for a very long time! Clearly he has shut himself off from anything that would distract from that.

The indoor cycling question might have been about competing on zwift, but Tom is correct as ‘Indoor cycling’ covers Artistic cycling the Rad ball world championships.

    5:26 !?!?!?
Could somebody please take charge of this young man's musical education as a matter of urgency?

      Your comment made me chuckle.
In my world, whether or not someone has passion for music is ascertained in seconds after asking them ‘what music do you like?’
In this case, took less time than that….. that said, guys a total legend and obviously, as made clear with his drinking comments, he is cycling, that’s him through and through.
Here’s to 2023 and to Tom hopefully bagging a GT one day for us to revel in with him.

Pidcock should find a way to go study. The world is so interesting and challenging your mind can be as rewarding as challenging one's body. What one knows of the world directly impacts how one perceives it.

The more I get to know of the world we live in, the less I really want to know.

    • @fritsgerms3565

@@briangoossens1519 what I hope you mean to say is: the more you see of human behavior. Because the objective reality around us is nothing but magical. Learning and understanding (to some degree) how things work and how things fit together is very fulfilling. Humans are but one primate species of many. Even if our behavior often disappoint, its always interesting to learn why we behave as we do. Side note: there’s a book called “behave” written by R.Sapolsky just about that ~ lots of UA-cam videos too. I’ve become much more forgiving to myself and others the more i understood of our evolutionary past. Pidcock makes a pensive impression when he talks about certain things. I think he will find real joy by searching for answers.and I hope you’ll learn to see the world in a way that enhances your experience.
