Don't get me wrong Flyquest wasn't great but they had to play T1 and beat PSG in two different series to make playoffs, while Fnatic just had to beat a weakened GAM team twice to make playoffs. It's funny how hard people clowned on Flyquest before realizing that PSG is actually a good team. I wouldn't be surprised if PSG knocks G2 out of the tournament.

Had an extremely strong feeling that Fnatic wasn't just going to "roll over TL" (according to literally everyone) just because TL had a poor first series. Usually teams aren't going to look at their strongest in their first games so I didn't think TL were completely hopeless since they got stomped by a team that climbed up from playins. I knew for a fact this would be extremely competitive since TL is a good team that's easily on Fnatic's level but I admittedly did not expect Fnatic to be the one to ACTUALLY "get rolled".
All jokes aside. The east is overall better than the west, but only the top teams are on another level. PSG took the fight to BLG for crying out loud. FNC and TL are around the same level. Its just top teams like G2, T1, etc. that are really on another level compared to the rest. The rest are relatively close in power. There might be an influence of meta cause last year NRG knocked out G2. So its kind of wild.

Good on TL and NA to get a win this MSI tourney. It shows we're still at least able to compete against regions at our level.
I will say, although FNC is getting flamed a lot. I don't got anything to say to defend Noah or Humanoid, I think Jun is actually quite good still. Oscar had rough games but he was the main reason why FNC won game 2. If it wasn't for him mega gapping Impact that game, then it would've been a 3-0 by TL and this series would've been way worse.
Lets not hate on each other now, G2 and TL are the only teams left from the West. We need to pray for their success to show we can compete and it's not just the East.
We're a 1 team region and have been for a long time. Sad we don't see G2 vs TL. I think G2 is the best western team by a long shot.

Against any kind of pressure FNC just seem to crumble apart. Humanoid getting camped by the enemy team is an easy way seemingly to win since he plays the exact same way every game, I'm not confident seeing Noah on any ADC let alone short ranged ones like he played 3/4 games, those then put Jun and Razork into situations where they have to be taking risky pathing where they get picked off, and Oscar is basically coinflip first 10 minutes and if he's behind after those 10 minutes he's useless the rest of the game.
Ofc camping humanoid is the way.. they have no adc and are essentially 4v5 so humanoid is the sole carry every game - camp him and they have no carries left

APA might have grown to be my favourite western player. Even without the funny trash talk, that importantly doesnt shy away from self deprecation, players who force bans are so fun. Especially when the enemy thinks its not to stop them from a turbo pick, but more because the enemy team thinks theyre so shit on everything else itll drag the whole team down. I read the comments and see EU fans keep making excuses like "NA team but 4 koreans". To me, lose is lose, win is win, no excuse. Who ever wins deserves their win, no matter where are they from. Making excuses about TL having 4 koreans is like calling LPL doesn't deserve their 3 Worlds titles. Remember, GAM 2023 with 5 vietnamese won against TL 2023 which also had 4 koreans. Therefore, there is no nationality diff, only skill diff, tactic diff, macro diff, playmaking diff, shotcalling diff, teamwork diff and the most important (to me), mentality diff.
Literally no one talk about TL or all their imports. NA has always been all about imports.

Same as Jensen, I don't consider Jensen EU/import at this point, he's been a staple of NA LCS for almost as long as NA LCS has existed (Bjergsen is similar in that regard too come to think of it).

You saw APA in the last two NA series. We are still on the LS IWDominate vision that APA is bad from their loss to C9. What's with this APA roasting? It makes no sense a month after the NA season ended.

Although I think APA is amazing there’s so many amazing mids in NA. Idk if we can say he’s better than Jojo Palafox or even insanity, but APA is a bit underrated like you said. Imo as an individual he’s a bit behind the other mid laners smaller champ pool and less pressure and impact in lane, but at the same time APA is probably the best team player out of any of the mids, one of the better team fighters, and by far the best NA mid at absorbing pressure. That’s what impresses me the most he’s being banned out and perma pressured by enemy jgl/supp bc everyone views him as TL’s weakness and he still comes out even. It’s amazing to me. TL also plays around APA and complements him well. I don’t think APA could play this way on other NA teams and find the same success which would be my main criticism. However all the NA mids are unrefined and have a lot of room to grow but APA is for sure very good.
@@johnkirk1772 He had 7 3 7 in that game. Again, it seemed like he was terrible on the surface. Evan Caedral said that, but it was only because of his name. When he felt behind, it was the map that played out, not Apa himself. That's the point of my comment.
@@johnkirk1772 First game: Apa got FB, but then Jun was there!!! and he had to flash and lose the next minute's pressure and CS. He also died before his flash was up - that was not possible to prevent unless he stayed under the tower. Then he clean kills Razork in 2 vs 2 without his flash (while Humanoid and Razor k still had theirs). Then at min 12 kills Jun in 3 vs 1. Soon after, he escapes at the limit after Humanoid flashes R on him. Min 13 almost kills Jun on the trade but ends up suiciding (1st lousy play). The death at minute 15 was not a bad play, and the -1.6k gold from Humanoid was because Humanoid was 4 0 1, playing defensive Orianna all game. After this, 3 3 0 (0 means jg supp was not playing for Apa) of Apa and 4 0 1 of Humanoid, it ends up the game with 5 3 1 Humanoid and 7 3 7 Apa.

Man EU is in shambles as a region these past few years. There was a time when EU's 3rd seed can gap NA's 1st seed. This series is to be fair NA's BEST team vs EU's second team which on paper should be NA's series to lose, but with how NA vs EU used to go, especially FNC, this was absolutely horrible to watch lol. I don't even blame FNC at this point, EU has been a one team region for years now, but even our strongest team is inconsistent. On the other hand NA's second seed (FNC counterpart) couldn't get out of play ins lol.

Fly (basically an EU team) had to play against a team that took BLG to 5 games. I think it’s pretty safe to say that PSG would’ve eliminated Fnatic

Oscar was the main reason why FNC won game 2. He prevented a more embarrassing 3-0 series by his clean Poppy game. In this critical series at least he carried 1 game... Humanoid should be replaced and keep Oscar imo.
