Jason! I have to tell you! I'm an old grandma here - every single time we get blessed by a download from you & you're wonderful family - it just brings me so much joy!! From the lessons you give us, to the great humor that just flows from you - I absolutely love you guys! Especially the way you talk to your animals ... the "cabbage party" comments - you end up making me feel like your animals each have personalities of their own. I just don't know how to convey how entertaining it is for me, sometimes if I'm feeling down & lonely. You help to bring me back up I adore you & your beautiful wife & daughter! Wish I could adopt you kids!! ❤❤❤❤
thank you for saying. I appreciate it. thank you for watching.
I am 72 and a Great grandma to 4 soon to be 5 and I feel same way Love your videos!!!

Well done Lorraine on your cabbages. You are reaping the rewards of your hard work now.
Thanks so much 😊
Lorraine, congrats on the cabbage. It’s beautiful. You should be so proud.
Jason, your patience with the sheep is so lovely to see. So many get to the point that they only look at them as livestock, and good for one thing. I love that you take the time with them and the pigs to be caring and kind with them all. Lorraine, your dinner looked amazing! Blessings to you all ♥
Gorgeous cabbage ! Ah yes , baling twine. Makes every homesteader a Macgyver !
That was sweet. They’ll come around. God bless.
Loved how the piglets chowed right down on that cabbage! They're cute!!!❤
I really enjoyed seeing the cooking side of the farm. Wow those cabbages are huge!
Loved your conversation with the sheep. They are beautiful.
I just planted my cucumbers up here in New England. I'm envying your high tunnel garden. All your hard work is paying off. 👏
It seems like yesterday you just planted that greenhouse. Wow! Those cabbages were impressive!
The Garden Cabbage are Jumbo!!!😁😁👍👍So kool to see how healthy the land is now. Maybe if you sit in the grass at a lower level they might come closer... But they are def warming up to you😋
You have so much grass! What a difference from when you first moved on the property! Looks amazing, garden too!
Thanks so much
Great looking veggies in the high tunnel. Wow...they must be the biggest cabbages ever. Lorraine, your cabbage rols looked delicious. Jason, I am happy to see one of the sheep is taking some treats from you. Won't be long before they both do it. Thanks for sharing, Y'all have a Blessed day.
What a beautiful harvest starting! The garden is doing amazing and those sheep are adorable. Looks like it will be a great new season.
I love your channel. Patience, Joy, Peacefilled, Compassion, How to do's, discovery and adventure in your journey and no drama. I look forward to your content. God bless.

Hi Jason and Lorraine your place is looking great. you've made a lot of Headway this year you should be proud of yourselves.
❤❤❤
How could they resist you! Love you & your wonderful family. Thank you!
I enjoy watching your videos. Vegetables look amazing. Making friends with the sheep.❤😊
Two goats! They eat everything. Weeds, leaves, grass.... everything!! They eat non stop. Your veggies look great fam🥰
I highly recommend the chicken workshop for anyone out there looking to do one! I am so glad I did it! Thank you guys for all the content you put out - it's inspiring, educational and realistic. Keep the videos and opportunities coming 🙂 Thanks for the cooking lesson too on this one - I think you should incorporate these on a regular basis.
Those sheep are so gorgeous - almost teddy bear looking faces. Your patience with them will pay off in no time. Cannot believe how productive the high tunnel is and of course those cute Kune Kune's just make my day.
The garden in the high tunnel is AMAZING! Thank you for posting this video cause I've been waiting to see the results. Those cabbages were huge! You guys are my favorite farming family to watch. Keep up the great work. Love it!
I look for you each day to see when you're on. I love watching
All you share with us. I watch FRIDAY

SE MICHIGAN 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏
I love your farm family content. ❤ Jason did a fantastic job building the high tunnel and installing the water faucets. The garden looks gorgeous‼️ "The sheep are shy but the pigs love me." 😂🤣😂🤣
Wow, that is some huge Chinese cabbage! Amazing! Your high tunnel is wonderful. So good to see the sheep are doing well, almost lost them in video of them moving into the new grass area. Lol Thanks for your videos! God bless 🐑🐑 Happy Days! 😁👏☀️🤗🥰🙏🏻
Watching sheep do nothing may be relaxing but Kuni piglets eating cabbage is 🫠
Beautiful cabbage patch! Love the 🐑 maybe you can get some bottle babies to raise! They become so friendly and loving!
Hi, Jason and Lorraine! Your garden is exploding. I believe you are ahead of most farmers around here. That high tunnel is a boss.
Tks for video. Love the green house cabbages , looking great. Ahhh those sweet piglets. ok until next time. Much love to ya
Grain train them . I raised sheep for a long time and I used sweet feed or alfalfa pellets in a scoop to train them and tame enough to move them . They will get used to hearing you shake the scoop and getting a treat and will eventually follow you
God is Blessing your homestead. between the food you grow, to warming up to the sheep ❤❤
Oh GREATNESS !!!! I love the green house garden.
Maybe once the sheep have settled in have smaller paddocks for more intensive grazing?
More of Lorraine's meals please. Also, I like the apron. 🤗❤️👏
GREETINGS AND BLESSINGS
GOD BLESS YOU ALL 🙏
Absolutely LOVE how well you care for your animals. Its so nice to see them be so well taken care of even though they will end up going to freezer camp....only one bad day!
You need to get together with your friend Ben Hollar about putting in a orchard. You also have the space to put in enough berry bushes to meet your needs and beyond. If youre willing to be patient, many of the cane berries can be propogated from cuttings wintered in the high tunnel.
we do have an orchard 👍
@@SowtheLand i do watch pretty much all of your videos and shorts.... sorry for the slip-up. Truth be told, I only remember the details of everyone's business so much.
Our sheep love their chins to be scratched rather than trying to pet them on top of the head😊
Jason and Lorraine, the greenhouse is booming! That cabbage is beautiful!❤ The cabbage rolls looked so good. Yum!
The granddaughters stopped by to see the broiler chicks, which were 2 weeks old. When Papa called them chicken nuggets the oldest gave him a stearn scowled look. Farm life lessons.
You are amazing people. I love your channel. ❤
The greenhouse looks great! Jason if you need beef I wish you would get two. Harvest one early, then get number two a new beefy friend. Get into a rotation of 1 beef per year so they always have a friend but you get to harvest one beef per year atleast.
The CRUNCH when you picked that cabbage!❤
You know, each one of those little tomato branches your prune can be planted, giving you lots more tomato plants, all free.
Jason, you have the best humor about you!! Just love your whole family and yall work so hard!!❤❤😊 thnx for letting us be a part of your growing/ working homestead!! Penelope is a beautiful young woman that works beside yall!!
There are other channels that I watch, but once you pop up, I watch yours right away. How I wish your videos were a bit longer because, to be honest, I don't get tired and bored watching. I wish you and your entire family good health and more content to anticipate. What a joy to watch!
As noted below, I love your channel as well. Have been watching for years. I like that you all are honest, humble (not stuck on yourselves), down-to-earth, family oriented, entertaining, you don't use clickbait.Thanks.
You guys are great. We are in the process of selling pretty much everything we own here in Texas, including our 2 cars. My wife is downstairs searching for ranch property in Montana. You are an inspiration.
so lovely to see you trying to friend the sheep. They will love you soon. Its like we are learning the lesson of patience and calm... no sudden movements... just in a meditative state . Best wishes for you and fam, from Romania!
Your family has accomplished a lot this year!
You guys are my favorite...for all the reasons. Your work ethic, your methodical conquering of every challenge, and your absolutely lovely and compassionate interactions with all the loving creatures on your homestead. Amazing stewards amd inspiration for those of us also on this journey. Pa'lante gente!!
Jason you’re so lucky to have a wife and daughter who take an active role in working the homestead. I just wish I could get my wife as interested in helping me out in the garden and with taking care of the animals. At 63 it’s pretty tough to do it all myself.
I have found that squatting down really makes a difference in getting my sheep to come closer.
Lorraine, us Slovak's call stuffed cabbage Holupki. I use V8 juice, & broth. Onions on top too & extra cabbage leaves. Yummy. I love you 3 &&& mom & dad. Better start looking for more beef Jason! Yum. Your lamb will be delicious ae well. God bless you all and many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi ☦️ in Scottsdale 🙏🏻 and E Minister 🙏🏻 ❤️
The ladies are making that greenhouse produce like crazy, was worth all your hard work Jason. Greenhouse would look even sharper with some fancy end walls.
Jason, I love how you love animals. It reveals the kind of man you are. tyfs!
I can’t believe how big those God it doesn’t seem like you planted them that long ago. They’re beautiful.
Our family used to move our flock of 1,800 ewes just by opening gate and calling them 😊
Your garden looks amazing! I'm so happy for your success. Those sheep are gorgeous. Looks like you're making headway with them. The stuffed cabbage looked delicious Lorraine!
Great flourish in the high tunnel! 💚 those pigs sure 'scarfed down' the cabbage leaves! so happy to see the sheep eating a few treats from your hand~!💚
I learned about KimChi, fermented cabbage. Quite delicious, and you season as you.
But very good for your gut health.
Crazy how fast the crops grew in the new greenhouse! Just a little bit of beef left, you know what them means? Beefy Boys incoming! Can't wait to see a set of steers on the homestead again!
Jason the sheep will eventually come around there still young
Loraine you were born with a great green thumb
Wow your garden in the green house has really taken off like crazy. I have a feeling you are gonna have the best harvests ever this year for everything you plant in there!
Omg look at you that garden is a amazing and those sheep 🐑 🐑are going to warm up to you fast cause everybody loves Jason ❤@sowthe land
Any time we would get a side of beef, the butcher would ask how we wanted it cut. I always asked for roasts and steaks. I did not want ground unless that was the only option, so minimal on the ground. If I wanted ground, I would grind a roast. The butcher loved my orders because of the minimal work to make me happy.
Looks delicious food better than some that plan to quit grocery stores ❤
Good show thank you all
Glad you enjoyed it
❤Of course I watch your videos all the time! Have been for many years! You guys are the best! Beautiful bounties all over your farm. So happy to see you all prosper!🐑🐑🐑🥬🥒🌶🌽🥕🥦🍅
Those cabbage rolls looked amazing Lorraine. Yummy 😋
Kim Chee in Hawaii is very popular and my favorite. It's also a natural probiotic. But Mmmmmmmmmm is the best part for me!! With Aloha
I’m shocked to see how much growth is on your plants! Wow! 🤩
The sheep are definitely warming up some, that is great! The cabbage rolls look delicious😋
Omg it made me laugh the way those little piglets went for the cabbage…….they are so adorable.
L.A 🇨🇦
Great video Jason. I love seeing your family out doing things together. Prayers for your family and your farm! Thank you!
your sheep are young . if you watch sheepishly me. sandy brock in ontario, canada she raises lots of sheep. she gives the lambs a shot as they start to get creep, (grains and hay, you grass) for they will stuff themselves and bloat, which can kill them. watch her vlogs to learn more. or check with a local vet.
Yum Lorraine that looked so good? Your cabbages were beautiful & amazing. How come your cabbages weren't eaten by cabbage moth caterpillars Lorraine? That was a very adorable cute moment at the end Jason you handfeeding the sheep those treats.
Your soil in the high tunnel is booming! What luscious crops! 😊
Jason, did u say milkweed? Looks like pokeweed to me. Id cut it down. Difging it out is near to impossible. Ask me how I know. Everywhere. In my city yard garden. Dont leave them w a deadly temptation on top of your first loss. Is that Chinese cabbage? No tight heads as typical cabbage looks.
we have that too
Wow ! What a great looking garden in the high tunnel . Never seen such beautiful cabbage. Lots of good eating there.
If it is Milkweed.... Milkweed is the host plant for Monarch Butterfly , and you should save it . Maybe check with local nursurey people or landscapers.
I cant not believe how fast this garden has grown. Watched you plant it and it just seems possible it ready to harvest
Does look like milk weed, though.
I don't have experience with sheep but I do have experience getting animals to accept me in their area and then getting used to me and I can do this with some wild animals.
So, my first move is to be in the area they are, close enough to not spook them or get them to move away, but I don't think about the animal. I have something that I'm doing there. I feel this calms down almost any animal seeing you doing something and not paying attention to them. I have to think somewhere in survival mode is, when something is focusing on me they might be trying to get me.
If they can move around freely with you not paying attention to them you're most the way there. The next step is then to make a sound that won't scare them, and nothing loud, maybe something you'll use to call them, and you do this as you pay a little attention to them but not moving toward them, and then you leave.
I can't tell you how long this would take to get those animals used to you and moving freely around you, but the goal is to slowly pay more and more attention to them as they move more freely around you. I find I can get most animals to at least hang around, let me take pictures, feed them if that's what I want, etc.....
The sheep are so beautiful- great looking dinner. Garden is fabulous.! ❤️😁🌹
They will be his dinner soon! 🇬🇧🐶
Sheep are doing great!!
Lorraine, you can add an egg into the stuffing to hold it together, that's how we do it:)))
That soil you got is really great! What a smart decision. Congratulations!
With the sheep, sit down and don't look at them. Let them get used to you. Good luck. 👍
Garden looks great!! the sheep move was great, and they will love you just like the pigs.
Beautiful garden! The sheep are so cute! Blessings!
Good progress with getting the sheep to warm up to you! Try petting the sheep under their chin instead of on top of their heads. Mine are usually much more comfortable with that.
Omg look at your cabbages. I’m sure there is a Cabbage patch kid in there somewhere.🥰
Those cabbage had me drooling. It’s still too early to even plant where I live, so I truly enjoyed watching your prune the tomatoes. Till next time
I laughed out loud at the cabbage party with the pigs pen 😂🤣😂🤣
I appreciate your videos! I love the detail that you go into building whatever project it is you’re working on, you do it well. Your kindness to the animals is endearing.
Aye. Sheep are skittish. Don't take it personally 😃
Whoa. Those cabbages got big quick!. Easy enough to add tubing or timber battens or wire along and then across the tunnel to make tie-up points where you need them. Love to see you doing well. ❤
I grow cabbage mostly for Sauerkraut. Fermented food is where the best health benefits are. You can ferment plants to extract the nutrients into a concentrated syrup to spray on your plants. Also do not throw the juice of Sauerkraut away, use it to start the next batch and drink the rest. Your cabbage is amazing! You should try and grow one for show. You just might win!
The garden is beautiful! I still use Loraine's sour kraut recipe from years back. The sheep are beautiful and such sweet animals. Lee
HINT: Get a Ultraviolet (Black Light) Flashlight and come out after dark. Hold the light close to your tomato plants and you will be able to see every tomato worm glow in the dark - even if they're only 1/4 inch long, so you can get them before they do damage. It's amazing and is such a helpful tip I learned many decades ago. Another hint about feeding the sheep is to give them their food in a flatish pan where they can see the food and eat it. Then when you give them their treat - give it to them in that same pan. They need to recognize what it is you're holding. Sheep can be a bit weird - nice but weird. LOL
You guys are the best! Thanks for all you do.
Watching your videos calms me down. Thanks for sharing a part of your lives 😊
always glad to watch your progress in the hobby farm arena
How are your high tunnel plants all so enormous?? It feels like you only planted them a week ago.
Good job
