Fingers don't need to stretch as much so 58.5 cm is very comfortable to play. But it might be harder to get the precise note. It might depend on your hand size.
Hi friend, im currently an oud student and really want to learn Sudanese oud, but theres a severe lack of transcribed Sudanese oud music available. If you transcribed or taught a couple of Sudanese songs, I would happily enroll/pay for them!
Thanks. Sudanese music is beautiful and yes everyone learns by ear so there are no notations. Unfortunately I have so much music to teach I will probably never get around to notating Sudanese music, but you never know. If I get obsessed with a song I might make a UA-cam video.

So Turkish ouds are around 58.5 cm I think so would that mean learning with a Turkish oud is harder than an Arabic Oud due to the difference in size
