      Its Amazing what a little hard work people can accomplish even with a limited budget. They just go lazier with the CGI in later films, after the 4th they no longer used practical effects it was full CGI at least 3 and 4 had a mixture of both.

      I like the fact that this is a series where characters learn to stay out of danger. Val got hitched and refused to do a dumbshit thing like fighting Graboid's again and Earl only did it because he didn't have much to lose. Character's have one movie then refuse to do this stuff again. All except Burt, who lives for danger. He's a modern day dragon slayer, and Graboid's are his dragon.

    Tremors 3 takes you back to Perfection where it all started. It's not as good as the first 2 but it's a fun watch. Be prepared for more new surprises. Also a couple of original characters show up but Burt becomes the main character from here on out.
    4 is a prequel that takes you back in time to when Perfection was established. The rest are ok but nothing great but still fun to watch.

      I enjoy different aspects of most of these movies including the sequels (EXCEPT for #6- that one didn't do anything for me lol).
      It might be because I watched Tremors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 over and over while I was job hunting for online jobs at the start of the pandemic, and so many aspects of each of those movies reminded me of my endeavor. For example during Tremors 2 here, the "fishing / trolling" for graboids reminded me of my job-hunting / applying process.
      During the scene when they had just gotten stuck on the rock with their truck and they saw a LOT of graboids coming at them all at once, that reminded me of one time when I had an equal number of interviews coming at me from all angles LOL :P

      Not sure why Reba wasn't in it (was she doing her sitcom at the time?) But Bacon, I think the problem was (as I stated in my own post) they waited too long. If they had made this in 1991 or 1992 they'd probably have a better chance of landing Bacon but by this point he was already becoming a more "respected" actor (and he deserved to be) and his schedule and price range were beyond doing a Tremors sequel. • @blechtic
      @blechtic 2 роки тому +2

      They kind of have to, since the first one in these is about discovery and demystification. You can't really play that card in the sequel even if you change stuff, because the characters already have some kind of idea. It was one of the most impactful periods in their lives, so they'd have some kind of a reference point. They wouldn't be as surprised. The same goes for the audience.
      Compare to Police Academy, which is just humour. They could play the same idea over and over again, except that they kept running out of jokes and had to recycle them and then had to change other things to make it seem fresh. Too bad they couldn't really write enough new jokes and think outside the box, since that's what really killed that series. The characters don't get that stale if they can keep bringing out new jokes besides a bit of something new.

    Fun fact: For those who don't know what the bipedal creatures are, they're called Shriekers.
    Only three grow and develop inside one Graboid. But here's the catch, they eat their way out the worm and when they eat a certain amount they reproduce. So in total a single Graboids will have three Shriekers and when they are free those Shriekers straight away give rise to six or even nine Shriekers. With those information in mind, there would've been a lot more Shriekers in Tremors 2 than what the characters thought, the reason we don't see ALL the Shriekers is most likely because some have moved on to different regions. Graboids in the 2003 TV series Tremors The Series, Burt explains that Graboids are now known to be in different regions and that there are different subspecies of the North American Graboids, this is likely due to the fact that the Shriekers move from one place to another. Shriekers will also turn into the Ass-Blasters which resembles Shriekers except they glide, Ass-Blasters also carry Graboids eggs and deposit them in secluded areas which will then hatch into new Graboids.
    It's unknown if the Ass-Blasters die after laying the eggs or they just move on.
    Another is that the Graboids appearing in the Precambrian is false, during the Precambrian period there were no large animals for the Graboids to feed on. Instead the Precambrian was home to microscopic animals and some soft-bodied organisms, it's likely that the Graboids appeared during the Devonian period or the Triassic when there were sizeable animals for them to feed on. It's also still possible they may still have an extraterrestrial origin since their life cycle is unlike any organism on Earth.
    Just watched this video right now, and hope you guys go round to watching the other Tremors films and the TV series. You're guaranteed to like them if not enjoy them in the very least. My family and I have all seven films and the entire TV series, originally they were gonna make a season two of Tremors The Series but it was cancelled and discontinued due to another series being loved by viewers which is a huge bummer.
