This was definitely one of my favorite series when I was younger, and still is;it’s awesome that it’s still official acknowledged with the RD-02 in Hot Wheels Unleashed and the the acceleracers version of Bassline and the world race version of the Deora 2 as dlc
@@SuperSaiyan3985 from what rumors I’ve heard, apparently Acceleracers got to be known as too much of it’s own thing and not hot wheels. The company wants to sell hot wheels, not just acceleracers. In my opinion, they should have just went with it and expanded the brand of acceleracers instead of killing it. Talk about suffering from success.
Its probably due to it being too dark. Hell, at one point you thought a character died. Remember, this is a kid's show. Probably had the wrong marketing if I'm honest, it's well suited for teens.
Should have mentioned Monkey too! He's comedic relief, but without him the racers wouldn't have made it so far. Nitrox 3.0, Sparky, helping Tesla develop the new all-terrain tires - and had he not been caught by the Sweeper the Tork wouldn't have found out about Nolo being kidnapped in time. He is, alone, the racer who helped them develop the most. He also pissed in Tork's car
agree look at their vehicles for exemple: they look like this futuristic and i little bit alien versions of normal cars (like something design for war, to execute with perfection)
And the sounds they make are ominous and terrifying plus the sound and music design was perfect and the graphics for being a 2005 ANIMATION were amazing
Also with taro, in the world race it's mentioned that he skiied down mount Everest twice. When he enters the ice realm, he says, "shoulda brought my skis". And also the very subtle relationship between taro and lani that's only alluded to once in WR and one or two times in AR.
Kinda makes you wonder how he even ended up with the Maniacs considering we was a successful multi-millionaire nascar driver before World Race. Same with Kurt, who was a top Grand Prix racer
@@TekuTaurus well Kurt is easy to explain. after the ambiguous "bad business deal" after the world race, even though he never got any prison time none of his fans wanted anything to do with him. So he resorted to street racing. Maybe Taro joined the metal maniacs because he wanted to stay with the WR people, but the Teku werent really his style. The metal maniacs have this code of being "welded" and theyre loyal to each other. Maybe Taro had this sentiment for his world race colleagues, even though he was a dick to them sometimes. He's a thrill seeker judging by the fact that he skiied down mount everest, and now street racing is the closest thing he can get to the greatest thrill of his life, which was the world race.
@@TekuTaurus Personality-wise and car choice. Metal Maniacs were more like aggressive punks, and their cars were mostly familiar to American muscle cars. Teku, on the other hand, were more stylish and hip, and they use cars that are inspired by the tuner car culture. . Taro is easily a Metal Maniac, considering his cold and rough attitude. He also drove a Plymouth in WR. While Kurt might've fit in the Maniacs, but he simply didn't because Mark chose to be in the team first. Kurt's rivalry with his brother made him split into different teams.
@@BS23Designs I get what you're saying but I don't really think you understood what I meant. If Taro has millions of dollars and is a famous stock car racer, then why join a street gang after World Race instead of going back to the professional racing circuits and earn millions more?
@@TekuTaurus Maybe after World Race he wanted something similar to it, so he noticed that street racing was more of his thing than something like Nascar,? idk
10:00 These movies ARE for kids. And are GREAT because of it. Kids are capable of understanding character arcs even if they cannot explain or describe why.
Most of the time, creators use "for kids" tag as an excuse for bad writing. Thing is, as you said, kids can see which writing are good & which aren't. They're still human, even if most of them are lacking experience & knowledge.
@@4storyboss you might think you're joking, but such labels would attract one of the hardest crowds out there: *contrarians.* Good luck finding success in an audience that won't admit they like your stuff.
16:24 this is so crazy... In the German translation Porkshop said: "My own father... tired to to drown me, when I was a kid." It's crazy how they decided to change his back story to something so dark!
I'd call it the 'perfect' series if they actually gave us a fifth movie instead of ending it on a cliffhanger like that. And the fact they ignored canon from The World Race that stated Gelorum couldn't take the Wheel of Power due to her not being a human, hence why she recruited Kurt to get it for her. In the first Acceleracers movie, GIG just straight-up says that "Gelorum and her Drones have taken the Wheel of Power" The art style change was also kinda wack, characters be straight-up looking like some uncanny valley shit. Preferred the cel-shaded look of World Race if I'm honest. Still though, these four movies were my goddamned childhood. Some of the greatest car and livery designs in these movies and the damned Realm design just never missed. Neon Pipeline Realm forever baby. And the music was really good too, and I'm really cheesed-off that we never got a physical release of the music or anything. The rips just aren't the same. Cosmic Realm theme 'til I die.
I think the reason Gelorum could get the wheel at the time of ignition was because it had already been taken by the humans and put back so she was able to take it but not until it was already taken before
Ugh don't remind me of the cosmic realm theme, I love it too much, wish there was a better version. Also I really want the song in movie 4 where Shirako is chilling in the Sweeper with everyone, it's so good but can't find it anywhere.
My head cannon was that gelorum turned hot wheels city into her base and built around the wheel of power. Drones can go through the portals in world race but can't win or get the wheel. Because only humans can win. But see on the other hand this doesn't make sense I just realized. Because at the start of ignition you can see one of the drone plane things taking the wheel of power. So honestly who knows. Maybe somehow there was development and the drones figured out a way to take the wheel in the 2 years of the end of world race and ignition? I couldn't say. I'm rambling now though lol
This is one of my favorite series of all time. Nobody how old I get I will always talk about how dang good this edgy-mid 2000s hot wheels kids movie series was.
@@chinnymisc Do you think Mattel will ever change their decision and bring the show back? After all these years, the cult following has just increased, and Mattel has noticed.
Theories: Shirako probably listens to so much music, as a means to keep calm during his races, this can be seen affective when he was racing in the Cliffside Realm and he mentions that he had a problem. He couldn’t download new music during the race and relied on older songs to keep him focused. His arc was when his subwoofers were ripped off in the cosmic realm, and has to rely on keeping himself calm, as well as his driving skill alone, rather than distract himself with music and stay behind from everyone else. Karma I would think is a little more straight forward. Being the only female driver in both the Teku and in the Acceleracers franchise, she probably feels the need to constantly prove herself to the other drivers that happen to be male. Evidence of this was in the Storm Realm, when her and Kurt were going down that long downwards portion after the loop. Kurt wanted to notify her that in order to keep on the track, she had to pick up speed and rely on the aerodynamics of the car. She just simply says in a calm tone “Yea, I got it”. This is to show her knowledge of racing, as well as proving to the other drivers that she can have just as cool of a head as the next person. Her arc was probably when she was about to be killed by the drones and was then saved by Kurt (I think). She realized that no one is perfect, and that it’s ok to screw up sometimes, since the team will think no less of her and will always have her back. Monkey probably fits the guardian of the team, he keeps Kurt and Wylde from killing each other as well as making sure Porkchop doesn’t go off the rails with some crazy stunt in the realms. He basically keeps the team together. An example would be in the storm realm when he stops Wyldes car with the E-Brake and forces Wylde to save Taro, it shows that he cares for the team and wants nothing bad to happen/get between anyone. There’s no particular arc with him story wise, but given the evidence provided, I’d say his entire arc would probably be becoming braver in the realms, since in the first movie, he couldn’t even drive fast enough to keep with the other drivers, to literally jumping off of a moving sweeper while being shot at to live. I know it was a lot to read and I hope it made sense, but I appreciate those who did for doing so, and would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who believes Vert was the best or at least most talented driver. He could’ve won the storm, swamp, water, and junk realm but bad luck and overconfidence(water realm) bit him in the end. Glad he got his redemption.
He clearly lacked the skill for the first time. What's important is that vert actually learned from his mistake to the point that he was almost flawless in every realm during the ultimate race. I mean he was able to keep up with gellorum and even beat her.
@@AIMalek yo is Vert the same Vert from Battle Force 5 or is he a different version of Vert? I’ve always wondered this but never knew if you can help explain that would be nice
@@AIMalek Vert won the world race one week after getting his driver license, he literally surfed a wave of lava, I guess he was the best but got overconfident
This series honestly taught me that skills are more valuable than fancy modifications and that I'm the issue if I lose, not the vehicle and winning doesn't matter, I should be happy that I even got 3rd and just improve my skills. There's so many other things I love but the lessons in the Racing Realms and Accelerons are the biggest one.
I'd say you're beating yourself up just a little bit. Sometimes it's not your fault if you lose. Sure, when it comes to games and sports, you could say that. But in that case, skill and the game are the same thing - the more skill you have, the better you'll do without even trying. But when it comes to larger themes like life, work, and stress, it's not always your fault. Humans weren't built for the huge amounts of stress and workload of modern life. Just because you feel like you're breaking down doesn't mean it's you - it's probably your car. Because as skilled of a driver as you might be, racing won't be enjoyable if you're not driving a car you love.
@@bugjams No I was like reeeally bad, was so unstable and too rough when steering and so many other issues, I was also a worse shooter back then and did stupid things.
@@kellofkells6002 Those are some. Go is the track Vert uses in the water realm, Drive is Shirako's theme, Teku-izing is when Shirako is playing with Kurt's bass, and Anything But Down is Taro's theme in the water realm. Personally, I like Action (Metro realm), Accelerate (Shirako finding the groove in the Junk realm), and Nolo's theme. They're all on UA-cam
I'm pretty sure the reason for Karma's 'perfectionism' is due to the fact she's actually a Drone. There were some subtle hints about it through the series with this and I'm guessing had Acceleracers 5 gone ahead we would have finally gotten the answer to it and why she was there, as well as the deal with the Silencerz and what happened to Kadeem and the remaining Drones.
Yeah!! Now that I think of it she could be a drone. Remember when they were in the drone headquarters and she could sense that the guns were aiming at them. She told monkey to "STOP" the sweeper. If she was a drone that could explain why she knew they were gonna get shot at.
I love what Tezla says when he calls Mark and Kurt for the Water Realm : "Nolo can't forget his brother and Mark Wylde can't forgive his." One line with a deep meaning.
About a year ago I remembered this series and have fallen in love again 😌 it all started when I was about 9, when my mom bought me Speed of Silence from a Walmart bargain bin XD after watching it 1000 times on my dvd player, I found out there were three more movies. After being in shock for awhile, I eventually spent the whole afternoon watching the other 3, and loving them so much! When I rediscovered this series, I decided I was going to finish my collection of cars. Lots of ebay shopping later…I finally collected them all! (Felt like thanos for a bit hehe) Although, I wasn’t lucky enough to get the full metal high quality ones, so I ended up just getting the reskins. They are still super special to me though, as I started collecting them when I was younger, and finally got to finish it off. Just thought I’d share my Acceleracers experience thus far, sorry for ranting 😆
We used to rent World Race from the video store all the time, back when those were a thing. When the video store closed, we bought World Race and one of the Acceleracers movies, and I watched both frequently. I rewatched the series recently for nostalgia and was blown away by how much better it was than I remembered, delighted that there were more movies in the series I hadn’t seen before, and frustrated that the series never got a proper conclusion. It really is an amazingly underrated series.
Holy crap our introduction to these movies are almost the exact same. My mum bought the speed of silence when a video rental store was closing. I was around 4-5 at the time, and I watched that one movie more times than me or my mum could count. I absolutely loved it. When I was 12 I was looking through my movies and saw the speed of silence and totally forgot about it. Realized there were 3 more movies, watched all of them. And now to this day I still love these movies so much. And I've showed my friends them. And they have grown to love the series as well. I will never forget these movies ever.
I remember buying the purple themed one (forgot the name) at a walmart bargain bin. I also watched it a 1000 times and found more in the series and was absolutely shocked. Yoooooo
I think part of what makes this so good is that this being four one hour long episodes, everything had ample time to develop. And every character remains consistent to their character or their arc. I need to rewatch this series. Also I didn’t even realize that the silencer that helped Vert during the drone invasion was his dad! That’s so insane and it shows how much attention to detail the writing has for setting things up and paying things off and making it more interesting on the second viewing, holy crap. This writing has no business being this good.
My favorite lore is that the reason the Deora II showed up at Vert's house was probably for Vert's father, who went on a mission probably following up on Dr Tesla. The silencers were probably watching them throughout world race, and that spiel about Dr tesla phoning him up at the end was really the silencer's likely reprimanding Tesla.
Bro I been watching these movies since I was a kid and this theory just blew my mind. That’s incredible. Although the only reason it could be for Vert was because of the fact it was a Wave Ripper car. Not sure Verts dad would have been a fan of the uniform and decals
Now that you point this out, I'm absolutely certain it was meant for Mr Wheeler and not Vert. A primary reason being Very *literally* got his driver's license that same day. Why would Tesla choose a complete newbie, let alone have the car arrive the same day he got his license? No, it makes way more sense for the car to be meant for Vert's dad
My theory is Karma is like a sleeper agent kind of character. A backup body for Gelorum should she be destroyed. That's why she looks so much like gelorum to Kurt. Kurt used to work with and no doubt observed Gelorum well enough for that kind of remark. That's why she wants to be perfect like the drones and takes such a fascination with them.
thank god i thought i was the only one who find this strange (the fact that they look so much i like and even some scenes point that) i always think this is foreshadowing some big reveal
I had the same thought! There's too much foreshadowing for something to not have been there - especially considering stuff like her similarly calculated, logical approach to racing, the way her face fades into Gelorum's during that scene you mentioned, especially the part in movie 4 where she seems to suddenly realize that the drones are luring them into a trap.
I totally agree! I was just thinking about it and it makes sense, this series is known for hinting at major plot points or character bits before they actually happen, like with pork chop and his fear of water. And likewise, Karma is suspected of being a traitor of sorts by taro. But ofc he wasn’t right, it was the silencerz which would make it even more of a shock when she’s actually a mf sleeper
When you talked about the fact that Karma, Shirako and Monkey could have been developed more, we have to remember that Acceleracers wasn't finished, it was planned to have at least one more movie, so that might be an explanation to why they weren't developed, cause they would if the series wasn't cancelled for some dumb reason
I mean, I feel like this franchise was killed off because it probably just wasn’t pulling in the ratings. Though I do deeply wish we would’ve gotten a fifth and maybe even sixth movie to have a conclusion to the story.
@@WearingGoldluck I actually looked it up online, it was killed off because it was bringing TOO high of ratings. It was becoming more popular than hotwheels itself and a marketing board had it killed. Really freaking sad.
@@huntereddex I’m honestly fucking losing it, I never knew that until I myself, just did that same research. Thats honestly so messed up and I’ve never seen a company have such ass-backwards logic. That frustrates me so much more than if it wasn’t getting good ratings.
@@WearingGoldluck they literally could've just blown up more of their cars or had more join the Silencerz or end up fighting them and then bam more toys to sell from the acceleracers subline but noooo
This series was perfect. BS that they canceled it. I still remember going to Toys-R-Us once a month to check and see if a new one was out. Perfect characters and a super well thought out story.
I really appreciate movies/shows that were intended for 'kids' but aren't afraid to touch on mature themes, like death of a loved one, characters doing hard time and joining street gangs. Really cements the characters. Great video man
I always think about that line Taro says to Monkey during a race, "Draft with me Monkey". I always found it funny and think about it when playing racing games or driving
I honestly thought I had imagined this series. I've always had random images of the characters pop up in my head, especially recently with the new Hotwheels game coming out. It's really trippy watching this now. Solid video. Thanks for the bringing back the memories
I never connected that lone Silenzer that helped Vert reach the Final Race was his dad. But I guess looking at context close together it made sense. He must've to have infiltrated the Acceledrome and got caught up during the Drone invasion. And after Gelorum entered the ultimate race, he was supposed to follow but found his son instead and decided to help him.
Having ended up working in the film industry as a Cinematographer, it warms my heart to think that Acceleracers holds a special place in my heart as being a movie series that made me love films as much as I do now. I will forever watch, rewatch and show these films to other people in my life. I’d like to think that one day I might have some effect on the return of it all. Although others might say that the Acceleracers ship has sailed, I believe Hotwheels/Mattel have got this as something in the back of their pocket for if they find themselves in a pickle. Especially since their reasoning for cancelling it was due to worry of over-popularity over the Hotwheels franchise itself. In a similar way to how the Lego movie brought back sales for Lego, or with the Call of Duty series and Modern Warfare 2 Remastered - we know it exists, but they’ll only bring it out again when things turn pear shaped again like Infinite Warfare. There’s no other form of entertainment I’ve experienced in my life with a cliffhanger that’s gripped me like this, with no other closure.
God that CGI instantly gave me nostalgia despite never seeing this. Reminds me of Reboot which I didnt see untill years later, a CGI Action Man vhs I had as a child from the TV series and Ace Lightning
You forgot how Nolo only had one hatred against the Metal Maniacs. It shows that he doesn't hate all of the members. And cares about the rival team a lot.
I remember hogging my sister’s TV (didn’t have my own TV until i was around a teenager) to watch these movies. You just unlocked a part of my childhood i forgot i even had, along with Battle Force 5.
Honestly, you took the words right out of my mouth. I mean everything about this series just gets hyped. The first time I watched Speed of Silence, I was kind of confused as to who Gelorum was talking to in the containment circle. Once I saw it was Kareem, I had goosebumps going through my whole body and to then see what came next, gave me chills. Even during the opening of Speed of Silence gave me chills as a kid. Also after we see that Wylde got captured, seeing Kadeem in his hybrid human/drone state, I knew this series was going to get even darker. Lastly, we come to Ultimate Race. Everything in that movie it's everything I wanted to see and more. To seeing the Teku and Metal Maniacs working together, to seeing how they saved Wylde and saw the Kadeem they used to know be gone. From the Racing Drones taking over the Acceledrome to seeing the guys come back to "Move Some Metal!". And Finally see how Gelorum took the Accelechargers and become her true form in front of the Acceleron, Vert and one of her used to be Racing Drone soldiers to have her title of Acceleracer fallen away and given to someone who deserves it and her one of her own creators send her into the nothingness of the Sphere World Realm to either be destroyed or something.
Yoooo now THIS is the content I want to see! This series was so great when I was a kid! Love to see that there’s so many other people who still feel the same way :)
I am one of the strongest fans from GREECE. I love them with my life. And I feel you so deeply. And i always empathised with Nolo, since 3 years old.(kinda deep). But also i see over time Accelleracers get their childhood nostalgic popularity back again, now we are all adults. I respect your video and i cry from my appreciation ChinnyMisc
I fucking loved these movies. The music, the characters, the racing. It was amazing Vert has been my favorite character since the world race movie and i loved him in this.
Thank you so much for this very detailed video. I used to love this series when I was 6-7 years old, I still have all four DVDs. Now I'm 23 and I really want to watch them again, I don't remember most of these deep details to be honest, but I do remember being very angry at the irresolute end of the series. However, great job mate!
The opening segment of the ultimate race is still one of the best scenes in any movie to me, we see how effective the characters are at combatting the drones, from just taking them out, knowing how to use the accelechargers and taking control of the sweeper. Not to mention the twist that they’re all in on the plan to betray Dr Tesla
I love that Kadeem had already come full circle as a character in the initial Highway 35 movie. He already had his development and returned in Acceleracers as someone simply seeking the greater good and because of that his fate was to be a sacrifice so everyone else could also mature as people and come to terms with the very real stakes present if they all lost this race.
Somehow Jack knew what Vert was doing and knew something was definitely wrong because he was apsent from recent realm until the Junk Realm. His friends needed him and Jack was probably in his position when he was Vert’s age. Everyone loose at times and the pressure of trying to protect Earth is high, but the real lesson is no matter if you loose races and don’t believe in yourself you once did you just grid your teeth and get back up, keep trying to win, and never give up. That talk propelled Vert and when the situation look hopeless he stepped up to the plate and took on Galorium and won becoming Earth’s Acceleracer with his own skills.
I’ve rewatched this series about 1000 times. Made GTA 5 racing videos and movies based off this series. It was so amazing and phenomenal. To this day I’m still so pissed we never got an ending for that cliffhanger.
Back in the 2000's that what a glorified toy commercial looked like. And I loved every second of it. They really don't make good stuff like this anymore.
As a Brazilian, i need to say this thing is even better in portuguese bcs a professional studio around here dubed the movies, the characters voices in portuguese have so much emotion on it, true masterpiece
This movie series is great and a classic. I do recommend watching the shorts so you can understand some things like Taro in the ice realm and the wheel upgrade in the lava realm.
God, seeing this just absolutely made my day. Acceleracers gives me a kind of nostalgia that's different from even other stuff from my childhood - I remember revisiting the entire series about 4 years ago and being delighted to learn that not only was it still as good as I remembered, it was even _better_ (well, maybe not World Race, but oh well). I loved it as a kid for the racing, imaginative worlds, and cool cars, and as an adult I may still appreciate those, but I love it most of all for its writing and characters; there was so much thought and effort put into each of them. In some ways, I can't even believe that this series exists - a made-for-TV movie series all but forgotten by Mattel with writing and imagination that deserves far more than what it got.
I loved this series and Highway 35 when I was a kid. Highway 35 stuck in my head a lot more, I think mainly because the art style shift and how they redesigned certain characters from the original series so much that it wigged me out. But I def remember Acceleracers blowing me away when it came to story. Certain things reeeeeally stuck with me, like the darker tone. Banshee’s car sunken in the swamp realm implying his death, and Kadeem’s horrific transformation into a cyborg have both haunted me to this day. But in a very good way
As a massive fan of the Hot Wheels movies it really irks me that they never got to finish the final film of the series and left it on a cliffhanger but I'm glad that I'm not the only one who enjoyed these films for what they were
Putting character arcs aside, people are forgetting the greatest part of the whole series. Cliffhanger to see vert race against the accelerons which explains the ending with the silencers trying to obtain all the parts of the wheel of power (I think) and assemble together to form a complete piece in order to enter back into the realm of the accelerons. Hence the wisdom is a circle quote "when you receive, you must give it back." I also suspected that the silencers were formed by the govt in seeking to exploit the accelercharges as weapons, hence the father of vert was wearing his uniform in Breaking Point. There are still alot of hidden clues as supposedly to be the story build-up to the next instalment of the series. Sadly, we'll never know what it is. Also coming back to the character arc, you forgot to mention another crucial point that Vert had to do. He had a choice to make in the same situation when he won the world race, to race against the accelerons, or save his friends. This took me about 18 years to finally see all these before this review. So i'm sort of glad that I managed to figure all that out.
I atleast once a year rewatch the whole series from highway 35 to ultimate race with all the small clips of the realms in between. Outside of Yugioh, there isn’t another series of shows and movies from my childhood that has stuck so hard. These series of movies are perfect and it is criminal they never finished it out. I hope with the advancement in consumer technology and ai development that one day a proper 5th project made by the fans with ai voices if need be is made. Somebody who grew up with these movies could make a great final to this series.
This video seriously gave me flashback when I was totally hooked and amazed with how cool this show looked. Now looking at it right now, it's pretty janky compared to when I was watching it when I was young. Great video mate!
That’s not gonna happen bro these companies don’t give a rats ass about the great suggestions we give them especially wen it comes to games, as far as the movies u mine as well forget them cuz it’s absolutely no reason they never made the rest of the story tbh
Taro was the goat for me, I remember disliking every other character except for him! I loved his car Riveted and he was just so badass to me… as I grew older and rewatched the whole series I realized every single character is my favorite
I watched the entire series when I was like 8 until the CDs are all scratched up and even unwatchable. Thought I was the only one, until I found video essays on how people like this series. Then I feel like I was the only one in my country, up until another 8 years later when one of my friends showed his hot wheels collection and put Reverb on a higher pedestal than the rest lol. The series is just sooo gooood!
Great video, forgot about all monkey's helping and character development when he gets into the sweeper in the plan to save wylde, and about the fact that not just because kadiim wasn't a teku or metal maniac he was the perfect chosen, the fact that he is one guy trying to help his people with water puts more pressure into the sadness of him "dying" and later becoming a drone.
God, I used to watch these back to back to back weekly, it's great to know that not only other people know it existed, but that other people love it. P.S. I've been using the RD-02 in hotwheels unleashed because of this, also it's the fastest car I. The game.
Wait, are we seriously not gonna mention how Kadeem was freaking captured and converted into a drone?? Like, that's so messed up. ESPECIALLY for a show meant for kids. The drone had his face! He tries to kill some people.
Acceleracers isn't just my childhood, it's my adulthood too. I can always go back and rewatch Acceleracers as an adult and enjoy it as a work of art. I personally think the Acceleracers 5 Ship has sailed long ago. Its too late. From an artistic standpoint anyways, because we've waited 16+ years and any product we get will not live up to our expectations. Instead, Acceleracers needs a reboot, a full fledged, more mature, adult oriented reboot. Something new, yet familiar. Thank you Chinny for making this video, Acceleracers is something I hold very very close to my heart, you've just earned yourself a new subscriber! :)

Most of the time, creators use "for kids" tag as an excuse for bad writing. Thing is, as you said, kids can see which writing are good & which aren't. They're still human, even if most of them are lacking experience & knowledge.

One could say the same about Kurt and Mark Wylde.
It's not really a rip, it's an attempt at removing vocals and I actually do that here and offline.
Im vice versa actually, the cel-shade looks weird and janky imo. Though i do agree, the proportions could be better
It was never NFS or Fast and the Furious that got me into cars at a young age, it was these movies ❤️

Theories:
Shirako probably listens to so much music, as a means to keep calm during his races, this can be seen affective when he was racing in the Cliffside Realm and he mentions that he had a problem.
I know it was a lot to read and I hope it made sense, but I appreciate those who did for doing so, and would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.
i love your theories man, really good analysis although thats why in the fifth movie they needed to be focused on more !!

The final race Vert using all the knowledge and skills used to finish all races was top tier character development.

Kadeem is dead

I had a similar introduction! mom got me the series of all 4 movies and I also remember watching them way too many times.
my dad bought the series bc my brother was into cars and then her couldnt find the rest of the series so he imported them from america to australia
@@denali9104 Also how great he was at the Driving and Writing Test.
@@denali9104 Idk man, maybe Vert's dad was a huge surfer back in the day, just stopped during name or something idk lol.
Or she finds the Accelerons and everything intriguing and wants to become a better driver, I sure did.
thank god i thought i was the only one who find this strange (the fact that they look so much i like and even some scenes point that) i always think this is foreshadowing some big reveal
@@coolcat001100 Now that's what I'm talking about. I never understood why or how she realized
Cartoons of the 2000's were awesome.
To bad there are no more action cartoons with ongoing stories and character development.

What game?
hotwheels unleashed
It’s so nice not being the only one who loves these movies with a passion
I just love how the series looked like an early ps2 game, and in fact, it was the cherry on the top

Its really a shame that this series ended on such a cliffhanger.
Heavy Gear was my old cartoon show growing up. Only thing I’d wake up early to watch when I was a kid.
This series was my whole personality when I was 8 years old, Im so disappointed that it never concluded 😔
I love that Kadeem had already come full circle as a character in the initial Highway 35 movie. Kurt And Taro Were My Favorite Characters In The Hotwheels Movies!

WOAH- i had forgotten this existed BUT I LOVED IT-! and this reminded me that i still do♥︎♥︎
I loved this series and Highway 35 when I was a kid. But in a very good way
I really find these things interesting because they were meant for kids but still had such a nuance in maturity.
like spiderman the new animated series
Ahhhhhhjhhjhjjm4krmt
I atleast once a year rewatch the whole series from highway 35 to ultimate race with all the small clips of the realms in between. Outside of Yugioh, there isn’t another series of shows and movies from my childhood that has stuck so hard. These series of movies are perfect and it is criminal they never finished it out. I hope with the advancement in consumer technology and ai development that one day a proper 5th project made by the fans with ai voices if need be is made. Somebody who grew up with these movies could make a great final to this series.
My Childhood
This video seriously gave me flashback when I was totally hooked and amazed with how cool this show looked. Now looking at it right now, it's pretty janky compared to when I was watching it when I was young. Great video mate!
Hopefully in Hot Wheels newest game they will make a tribute to this series like some tracks or even power ups (Accelechargers)
hopefully they make accleracers game
@@chinnymisc I'd hope so
@@chinnymisc Well... The closest we got now is Hot Wheels Unleashed.
All we pray now is the cars to be added in the game, DLC or otherwise
That’s not gonna happen bro these companies don’t give a rats ass about the great suggestions we give them especially wen it comes to games, as far as the movies u mine as well forget them cuz it’s absolutely no reason they never made the rest of the story tbh
We have rd-02 dlc
This is great. My only issue is that you didn’t break down character developments enough so that someone who hasn’t seen acceleracers can understand
15:38 "Why is he afraid of water? Why is he Homophonic?" 😭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I think you wanted to say hydrophobic, however, hobo/homo was also funny!!
Everyone’s childhood right here, everyone has watched it and no one remembers it
Taro was the goat for me, I remember disliking every other character except for him!
I just felt a whole gallery of memories unlock when you said the title.
I thought I was the only one that actually liked the series. Well documented bro!
God, I used to watch these back to back to back weekly, it's great to know that not only other people know it existed, but that other people love it.
P.S. I've been using the RD-02 in hotwheels unleashed because of this, also it's the fastest car I. The game.
Glad you enjoy it!
Reminds me of the early days of the Xbox when they tried having that 'tude with the commercials.
It’s good to see another AR UA-camr!
You’re telling me this series isn’t just a weird dream I had?
The scene where pork chop didn’t break in time before de water is probably de only time that the car didn’t break instantaneously
Amazing video, great points and it really made my day
Thanks a lot
Thabks bro
Wait, are we seriously not gonna mention how Kadeem was freaking captured and converted into a drone?? Like, that's so messed up. ESPECIALLY for a show meant for kids. The drone had his face! He tries to kill some people.
I made 4 videos on that 😂
I DEAD just watched this again, I'm 22 now, hoping it'd be just as good as I remember it... And it was actually better...wtf
Not talk about how karma and gelorum look the same...they even reference this more than one time in the movie
This is and the mermaid Barbie movie were a big part of my childhood
I watched it in 2005/2006 when I was a child...now its 2023, I'm 24 years old and I'm rewatching the Movies AGAIN and I still love it SO MUCH!!!
me as a 7 year old binge watching acceleracers: :)
me as a 9 year old seeing that it got cancelled: FUUUUUUUUUUUU-
me as a 23 year old seeing that people still love the show: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
Acceleracers will be in my soul for a long time. Maybe my whole life. I may even get a tattoo.
