Helpful if you explained the turn, pivot and steps
The student has more time then she thinks to get into position to retrieve lob. She never allowed the ball to drop low giving her more time. Dropping ball into kitchen is actually easier if ball drops past its apex and is 2 to 2 1/2 feet from floor IMO.
Could you (someday) touch on the doubles partner's responsibility when his teammate has to cross behind him to take a lob?
I find that inexperienced players become spectators when their partner retrieves a lob behind them. First, that obstructs the player returning the lob, and second, it creates an I-formation defense.
Very frustrating for the player returning the lob. He's hustled back to rescue his partner, he's hopefully executed a good drop shot, and then half of the court is open to his opponent for a drop return for a winner.
Don't just watch, y'all. Get out of the way...and tend to your defensive responsibilities.
What about a video re: preventing lobs.
If you can win the points where your opponents lob that will get them to stop.
Maybe think about putting the student in the shot, most of the video is showing the teacher dinking

I recently played a team which employed a strategy to continually deep lob us early in the point. Is it best to return the lob into the kitchen in an effort to reset the point.
