Do not store Propane tanks inside a closed space. Those tanks do leak and the gas builds up and explodes. I had a friend that left the tanks inside his cottage and during a lighting storm the static electricity in the air exploded the cottage. Their was no one in the cottage, but it was a total loss, even the foundations.
