Great video - Pity this event was probably better to watch than compete in - I personally had two runs the entire day, sat in the queues for hours. Once you were finally at the front, they started pulling WPMC members up the side lane in front of you. Last event was the same crap, but with bikes (Granted, it was a bike event though). Paying what works out to be R300 bucks a run, and getting heatsoaked to the point of running is a bit pointless, really doesn't push guys to come and enter these events. The complaining aside, there is a simple solution - If there is such big demand, run a morning and an evening event, with separate entries, and the option to buy entry to both. That solves WPMC requirement to raise as much funding as possible, and it gives the guys an opportunity with timing gear to actually work out their setups. Timing gear was yet another problem, with it being on the fritz for a stretch, and no 60ft times.
If you can chip in my other recommendation - A during the week, including timing gear and a marshal private event that we need to pay for - If they could rent it out for a few hours at a couple of grand an hour, it would be worth it for a lot of the tuning houses to test setups properly, and it would generate some additional income for them.
