@@paulcomptonpdphotography Bag arrived today which was quick since someone else suggested it took a long time to deliver. What can I say. Bought this as my other Lowepro didn't take my Dslr and all lenses, and gear. Always had to work out what to leave behind. I have gone from one extreme to another but in a good way. This bag is so roomy and well padded. It felt a bit heavy when it arrived but once filled it sat really comfortable on my back with thick shoulder straps and rear padding. Well worth the money and glad you gave it a review as I would never have considered otherwise.
HI Paul, I have the Shimoda explorer V2 which did come with a rain cover & pockets in the waist strap. The rain cover has two elastic loops which you can feed the waist straps through & a Velcro loop to secure to the top handle. It is the first bag I have had that the rain cover will fit with a full size tripod attached. Brilliant bag, but like you say not cheap.
I have had so many bags where the water runs off the outside of the rain cover & soaks into the bottom of the bag or it gets in the top as it runs off your coat.
Even my very expensive shimoda gets very wet indise.
I've been curious about there bags for quite some time now; but never seen a review on them before. There written reviews have been overall positive, but I wanted to see a video of them to get a better idea of how it works with equipment and a person. Hopefully that made sense, makes sense in my head🤷♂️. Thank you for input on this bag, it was quite helpful. 🙂🤘

Thanks for a lovely review, delivered with good humour and also thoroughness. I've used K&F products - mostly filters for some time and found the quality to be entirely acceptable - they even have a variable ND filter that actually works! I was wondering though, what the empty weight of the bag was, minus the little fanny pack thingy. Would anyone know? The specification shows it at 2.9kg which is not exactly lightweight, but I presume that includes the extra pack.

Looks like a good bag, but could you feed back to K&F they don’t do many smaller ones. I want a smaller bag, about 18 litres, but with the decent waist strap. The bag that Denise uses doesn’t have one and at my age I need the weight on my hips, not my shoulders. So this bag in a smaller version would be good, and popular too I think. 👍👍

Had quite a few things from K&F, great quality, only issue being the delivery times, seem very long

@@paulcomptonpdphotography I tend to agree with Brian, brought a tripod from them in December and it took 2 weeks to get here, ordered the bag yesterday (sunday), see how long it takes.
like i said dont feel it is to long.. cant compete with the majic of Amazon
