Decorative Collage Eggs

- Recently I completed a large dimensional project called Bob which my subscribers loved but thought was a little large for them to display in their homes, so I wished to find something more manageable as a project using roughly the same skills. The decorative collage eggs are a great alternative for my larger project, and can translate into many different forms from Easter eggs, to Fantasy eggs, even to Home decor accents. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

What a fun project. A Easter basket filled with these would be so pretty as well as round ones for Christmas decorations or ornaments on a tree.
Wonderful.
Thank you so much Ceri for sending me this I am extremely happy X from Australia
Round styrofoam balls would make beautiful Christmas ornaments to give as gifts Ceri.
Thank you for this tutorial. Much appreciated. 🐇🐣🥚🐇
Great idea!
You’re welcome
What a genius idea! Imagine the eggs covered in sparkley bits and pcs of either paper OR fabric.
Then we could make simple cards to match by drawing the outline of an egg and fill with bits of precious paper and again
using sparkle cut outs. You've been a great inspiration thanks Ceri for an affordable and easy project. 👍
Sounds wonderful. You could even attach small gems.
Love them. So pretty. Thank you for sharing.👸🏽👸🏽👏🏾👏🏾💜💜
You’re welcome
Thank you for definitely a fun project. And something I can do with my grandchildren when then want to invade my studio.
Fabulous
I have used round balls, decorated with my granddaughters and hung on Christmas tree...such fun and so easy.
And such memories.
Wonderful idea! I, too, love eggs. Thank you for your continued inspiration and encouragement.
Thank you
I just love watching you👍 what an absolutely excellent teacher you are🤗
I liked your Aussie wooden Banksia egg you showed as well as your great craf eggs
Thank you I do like eggs and have a small collection of them, which I’ve now added to.
They look gorgeous! I love eggs too. Back in the far distant past I made Faberge style caskets out of goose eggs. Fun and beautiful 🙂
Sounds incredible.
Another lovely idea and demonstration. Thank you Ceri.
You’re welcome Janet
Love, love, your techniques!!!
What a cute idea for Easter, my grandson would love dinosaur eggs in his Easter basket! TFS! No need to respond. Hugs from South Dakota.
They’re so fun and easy.
There is always something to learn from you. Thanks so much.
Thank you
Ooh, you could add some gold leaf or rub on gold wax to those too. Love them.
You definitely could.
Hallo Ceri, what a good idea. This is more manageable. I also thought of Christmas ornaments. 🤭 And when you turn a little screw, whit a eye/ loop, at the top ( you can put a drop of cleu or hot cleu for more secure) , and you can put them in a Christmas tree🎄.
Yup they would work.
Love it that you don’t have music ❤️🇨🇦❤️
I love music but not when its looped, that sends me stair crazy
Love it! I have covered furniture like this!
Bet that looked incredible.
Fantastic, I'm going to use this to decorate Christmas boxes for presents, then for Easter, my list is endless, so many ideas xxxx thank you xx
You have a plan and it sound great, NB: note of warning if you’re doing boxes make sure not to collage all the way up the sides of the box because if it’s a tight fitting lid then it’ll no longer go back on. Hope that made sense.
Delightful! Thanks, Kathleen
You’re welcome, thank you
Thank goodness, I have used different types of paper, this looks easier
Carol, if you’re using gift tissue you won’t be able to manipulate that paper as much as it will break down, (but it still works) you can use napkins and you could also use coffee filters as they’re more resilient to wet glues.
Those are fun! Thanks for showing how to do them.
You’re welcome, I’m glad you liked them.
What a fun idea! I need to make a bunch of them for Easter!
Have fun
Great project! I like to collect eggs also and glass paper weights too. Thank you for sharing this idea. I will do this project.❤️
Wonderful.
Love this - smaller scale and achievable. I really like the idea of a coffee table display with them and equally as a gift.
Fabulous
That was fun. I might give that a try. I love eggs too.
Great news
Your eggs are beautuful, Fabergé eggs crafting style😊
Definitely and you could certainly attach small gems to catch the light.
Love these! ❤ Thank you Ceri!
Thank you
I love these eggs, Ceri! They are beautiful!

Thank you
These are beautiful, ty for sharing!
You’re welcome
So pretty! Thank you.
Thank you
👍👍I love this idea and saw the potential immediately for dragon eggs. My youngest has a glorious & theatrical Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts bedroom that I would get a kick out of staying in myself (maybe when she's off to college).🤣I can't wait to show her this idea. I've got to see if they come even larger.
You can get larger styrofoam egg and sometimes they come in two halves. Or you could do four eggs one in each of the house colours.
@@CeriGriffiths Cool idea! Thanks, Ceri. This said you sent it 14 hours ago. So weird it just showed up for me, but I have trouble getting notices from everyone. UA-cam is slackin'.😂
Thank you Ceri! An egg is doable for me and something I probably would never have thought of.
Wonderful
Amazed by your talent yet again. The possibilities for surfaces to cover are plentiful; love the idea of covering boxes. Thank you for sharing this one.😊
You’re welcome, if you do boxes don’t collage the total height of the sides because if you have a tight fitting lid it may longer fit.
Very nice. Thank You!
You’re welcome
What a great, fun idea….got me thinking of other shapes to use……star, heart, etc. Thank you for sharing!
This works on many shapes.
This is very cool Kerry!
Thank you
Lovely
Thank you
Gives me so many ideas.
Wonderful

You're welcome
Ceri: love those eggs! And they do look wonderful in a wood, glass or ceramic bowl. Carol from California
Thank you
Great idea Ceri! I think I have a few Styrofoam eggs to play with too! TFS. 😁
Have fun Donna
Very nice project, Ceri. I'm wondering if the ladies at church would like to do this as one of our craft day makes. Thanks so much.
That’s would be fun and fairly inexpensive.
