Caro-Kann is a fantastic opening. I went from 1300 to 1900 FIDE thanks to that opening! I did play it with Bf5 and I can assure you it works. People seldom know what to do... Some know like 14moves theory and start to do clueless things which not according to the opening plans for white. This causes you to easily take over the game into your direction. Many people play c5 or e5 and themselves as black and know a lot about that. The Scandinavian also works the same way. People often get clueless with white, and you can take over the game.

    Game 2 and Game 6, this Botvinnik-Carls opening move order 4.Nf3 Nc6 will lose to 5.dxc5! Bb4 6.c3!
So that should be avoided with 4...cxd4
The transposition of this with 4.dxc4 Nc6 5.Nf3 is what motivated me to switch that to 4.dxc4 e6!

This might be a dumb question, but I’ve been staring at the screen and can’t figure out for the life of me why at 15:41 taking the pawn on b2 with the queen on the next move wouldn’t be mate. Is it a missed mate in 1 or what am I missing? I’m still kinda new to chess so I’m still learning a lot.
