“Looking like it will turn out OK”. You are a master of understatement. It’s turned out fantastic lad.

Hi Oliver. You looked surprised when it worked first time 😊. Lovely job and, as always, thank you for taking the trouble to share. I’ve spent the afternoon with pine and melamine covered chipboard 🌞

Great work Ollie, they're really coming together nicely. I have a feeling that they're going to look fabulous when fully finished. I often think if something that you've done was challenging then the reward is so much sweeter. Cheers.

In many ways you make it look straightforward but then I attempt something and realise yet again that it's years of experience that make it look simple. Great detailed narration, thank you.

really great video. It is nice to see a properly skilled woodworker making videos while doing normal jobs you would expect of a carpenter/joiner but doing them very very well compared to the insane high end massive budget projects from many youtube woodworkers.

Hi Ollie, quick question, is this for a listed building hence the traditional element needing to come through so strong

Looks like Accoya to me … modified wood which is brilliant for external projects as it’s so stable. (I only think this because Oliver has used it before on similar projects👍)

Well as usual the fan boy army is oohing and ahing not knowing that this guys methods are really not very clever, the windows will be weaker and using treated radiata pine ? Garbage timber with very low weather resistance. It saddens me to see the joinery trade sliding lower and lower.
    Jointing bars with dowels !
Bare and blind tenons with no wedges !
This is hack work, not quality joinery.

You found me out, oh blast.
to reply seriously though, Tenon removed as its experimental, not intentional but the basis of the tiny timber sash will be the glazed unit bonded to it for structural integrity. Its a bespoke solution to this specific problem not a tutorial on how every new window should be made. Slating accoya is nonsense and tells me alot. Calling experimental work hack work is also. I cant believe you will be so negative and dismissive to a joiner when there are actual hack workers on this platform getting millions of views. Thats really sad and discouraging.
