The MGH swallow screen offers a quick and reliable method to identify risk for dysphagia and aspiration in stroke and other neurologically impaired patients.
The "Material" (MGH - SST) is designed as a swallow screening to determine risk of aspiration. The "material" does not determine etiology, explore the physiology or nature of the deficit, nor determine a treatment plan. The "Material" is not intended to give definite medical consultation and must not be used to replace or overrule a clinician's judgment or clinician's diagnostic decision making. Thanks for video, why not direct drinking test of small amount of water?!

I have a dislocated hyoid bone, where it is pulled down and sitting on the thyroid cartilage, from a botched plastic surgery that surgeons are not certain to confirm even though two orthopedic doctors are certain just from palpating the area. Can a swallow test illustrate the action and position of the hyoid bone?

I know i struggle swallowing and it gets stuck to where sometimes i have to throw my food up.
