In my own understanding in the Philippine context, patriotism is still evident but the grasp for nationalism somehow been deranged due to political agenda.

Would be great if you stick to interpreting cultural and historical figures without adding your personal take on ‘last ten years’ etc . Offputting really. My opinion.
