You are so beautiful and you are proving that relaxed hair can be healthy as well. I just hate how some natural hair nazis and some black men bash women who either went back to relaxing thier hair or chose to stay relaxed. Although I'm natural I support all women rather you're relaxed or natural.

its not that they mean relaxed hair cant be healthy, it just won’t be 100% healthy since the curl pattern is chemically altered. and this is coming from someone with relaxed hair

@@lotus___freedom at the end of the day, you're right about it ultimately being our choice. I will throw in my 2 cents by stating that I'm glad the pandemic allowed me to grow out my relaxed hair as I've transitioned to natural. I'm a 90s baby that grew up where nappy was ugly and you needed straight hair that also allowed for corporate success. Smh, it was wrong and it didn't help that I was lazy and used that excuse keeping my hair relaxed. I never had breakage as my mom ensure I went to the salon and kept shoulder blade length hair. The pandemic and the million vids on natural hair care and styling helped me to see that I love what I can do with my natural hair, even if it can be a burden. The pandemic really helped me see that if any type of disaster happened, it would be much harder to maintain relaxed hair since you need flat irons and a lotta other stuff. I know I said a LOT that you probably didn't read lol, but ijs . At the end of the day, it's our hair and choice and we shouldn't bash, but instead exchange pros and cons of different hairstyles.

By watching this video, I’m thinking abt getting a relaxer but I don’t want to damage my hair
coralhelps . If you do decide to relax your hair. You should go to a very skilled professional hair stylist. That what I use to do when my hair was relaxed. And she gave me tips on how to care for my hair at home because I just couldn't afford to go and get it washed and condition every week by my stylist. I only went to my stylist for relaxer touch-ups.
You could Texslacks it if thats better, that way your hair still has texture so its stronger and less damaging
