Yo could you do a quick gaming setup vid? It'll be cool to see you're office and setup it looks clean! Also perfect video, mouse review and bad business gameplay couldnt get any better
Hey! So this isn't 100% true, people often think that ergos are bad from micro-adjustments because they come from symm/ambi mice and due to the tilt they struggle with micro-corrections. With ergos since you're tilting your grip you have to kinda "re-learn" how to micro-correct with the mouse. This will only last about a week or so until you get accustomed to it. Personally I have the opposite effect where I've been using ergos for so long I feel like symm/ambi mice are inconsistent because I'm not used to a non-tilted grip style. So whenever I'm covering a symm/ambi mouse there's always a period of about a week or so where my micro-corrections are bad but once I get accustomed to the non-tilted grip this goes away entirely. Hope that helps clarify that!
Generally speaking you won't notice much of a difference with 4K or 8K polling on any refresh rate below 240hz, however high polling rate does help with input latency and it does make tracking more consistent eve if you don't see it in-game. I did notice that my flicks did feel slightly more consistent on 4 polling @ 144zh refresh rate however that may be just a coincidence. Hope that helps!
19.07 x 12.5 inch, should be fine for the DAV3 for a relaxed claw grip. Personally speaking with your hand size I'd go for the DAV3, VXE R1 is a good mouse but it won't be ideal for your hand-size.

Hey, I know its a year late but do you use 8khz on roblox games? If so do you know anything abt the lag it creates on the mouse when in game? It's happening to me and I don't know if this is a common issue or if there is a fix to it but anything will help
Hey! Depending on your system age higher polling rates will cause frame-drops as the input processing is handled by your CPU. Roblox is also just horribly optimized for high-polling rates. I'd try either 2k or 4k polling to see if its stable for Roblox. Hope that helps!
I have a 2600 & and 2060 and I can run the 4K polling but not the 8k. High polling rate performance is very CPU dependent so how well it works is depended on a combination of specs & what game you’re playing. Also keep in mind to really notice a difference in 4-8k polling you need at a 240 - 360hz monitor. With your setup 2k polling would likely work fine in most games! 2k polling is the sweet spot rn as it offers an improvement in latency etc but without as much of a CPU impact.
You mean the scroll problem v3 have was only in wireless and there is no problem in wired ? I want to buy the v3 but i heard have problem with scrolling dead and ...
Just picked one up, review for the mouse is quite scarce but Ive heard some great things about it so far. I purchased one up because, I tested my old DAv2 mini with my xlite wireless and somehow came to the conclusion that maybe the sensor or the wire gave the DAv2 mini a more responsive feel? so I went along and bought a dav3 as I'm concerned for latency in my use case. Im not sure if its some form of placebo or maybe my xlite wireless was a defect after some time of use. but I'm going to be sticking with wired mouses for a bit.
Did you lower the click de-bounce timing on your Xlite? I believe the mouse comes with 8ms default however it should be reduced to 1-2 (as long as you don't get any double clicking). That said though wired mice like the v3 will always have the lowest click latency + the added benefit of not having to deal with the battery issues from 4k+ polling! Hope you enjoy the v3 wired and thanks for watching!
@@mel0nFPS its on 2. Im not sure if you have the mices to test it. But ill be tinkering with it some more. Delving more into both mices settings. Even when the pulsar is wired... Weird. @@illudami6032 That's so odd, I wonder why there is such a discrepancy. Strange... I'll be making another video about the polling rate, for some reason I can't get above 1.5K on my V3, not sure if its an issue with my system or the mouse itself. I am running a 2nd gen ryzen though which may be the cause, that said since you have a 5700x you shouldn't have any issues, if you do I'd update bios & motherboard chipsets as outdated versions of those ted to cause issues with high polling rate USB devices. I'm glad the review helped though! Thanks for watching! 🍉
So the smooth-touch version that got added to the V3 Pro is the coating from the V3 I covered in this video. For the longest time the V3 Pro and regular V3 had different coatings so RAZER finally decided to match the coatings.
@@mel0nFPS do you know if there is the small differences in shape that you mention in the video? i had the normal v3 pro for abit and got cramps, i think that was because of the shape. Unfortunatly i returned the v3 pro before i saw your vid, so i didnt get to compare it to the v3 wired.
Please tell me, if I use Xtrfy M4 (Wired), I used a mouse with a razer before it, for the most part I liked it, but after 1.5-2 years the coating began to peel off, has this problem been fixed? Now I'm eyeing the Deathadder V3 (Wired), will it be on par/better in materials, build, wire than the above mentioned M4? P.s If you know where you can buy a more malleable and light wire with delivery to ~Europe, I will be very grateful to you.
Hi! I haven’t used the M4 sadly, been meaning to try out their products but I haven’t been able to get any here in Canada. I my limited experience with the DAV3 I will say the build quality is very good, significantly better than the DAV3 Pro. In terms of how well the coating will last I don’t have data on that, haven’t run into any issues yet though! In terms of a cable I actually haven’t seen any kits for the DAV3, usually Lethal Gaming Gear sells them but they don’t seem to have one for the DAV3. Generally MaxGaming carried a lot of mod stuff in the EU but they don’t seem to have one either. To be honest though I highly doubt you’ll have any issues with the cable, I found it pretty much perfect in my use-case but of course your experience may vary. Hope this helps!
@@mel0nFPS Thanks, about the cable, I meant for m4, I'm glad to hear that the wired cable in v3 is good, because in m4, alas, you can only talk about it with a stretch
I am kind of confused. The dimensions in millimeters are identical for both shells. This review sounds like the shell is completely different for the wired version.
The dimensions are identical between the two but the v3’s shape is slightly different from the v3 pro’s. On paper the differences don’t seem that big but in hand the v3 & v3 pro feel very different!
Thanks for the info! But the wired version has "tougher" shell right? Would you be able to do a review of the V3 Faker edition :)? Would be nice to see wired vs faker.
@@reve2437 If you go to 5:02 I go over all the changes to the shell and the coating! I probably won't be reviewing the Faker Edition since its very hard to get here in Canada and from what I've seen it's just a direct clone of the pro which I've already reviewed.
I was not able to get the 5 profile switching to work using the button found below the mouse. I need to map profile switching to a key on top of the mouse (left and right click, scroll wheel and click, or side buttons) so i personally think the profile switching is really useless when it removes the ability to use one of the main buttons.
It's also quite interesting that the wired and wireless have slightly different shapes, I always assumed that it was the same exact shape aside from the coating. I wonder if they also updated the shell in the faker edition of the mouse since it uses the exact same coating as the wired.
A weird thing about the coating from my experience is that when my hands are dry it's pretty slippery/is really hard to get a good grip on but when I sweat it almost sticks to my hand and becomes EXTREMELY grippy which feels weird when i fingertip the mouse on occasion(specifically the part that hits my carpal bones). It is the exact opposite of my experience with other mice.
It sounds like you have a defective unit since that bottom button isn't working, I'd look contact Razer support and see if there is a software fix for it. Worse case you can likely get it RMA'd since that isn't normal behavior. As far as I know the V3 pro and Faker Edition have the old shell design, I hope they update the shells on these units but at the same time the wired edition is so much better it may not even be worth it for them haha.
@@mel0nFPS oh damn I never realized i just kinda assumed because there was no instructions for specifically remapping the dpi button below the mouse to profile switching it didn't give me that option to remap it in the synapse software either I'll try to see if anyone else has had this issue then contact razer support

Hey! Thanks for watching! Personally I hate the GPX’s shape, I find it too safe but I do generally prefer ergos as a whole. That said though the DAV3 wired is a “better” mouse in terms of specs, yes you’re sacrificing wireless for a wire in this case but you are getting up to 8K polling for the trade off. If you like the shape of the GPX but want a similar shape I’d try the V3 Pro instead of the V3 Wired. V3’s pro shell feels like a slightly tiled GPX but it has solid wireless tech & 4K polling via the seperate dongle. Alternatively I’m expecting a full-refresh of the GPX later this year (whenever logi decides to release it lol) maybe just hold off for that since the shape will be the same as the GPX v1? Hope that helps!
the only disadvantage of wired razer mouse is the wires on the table, otherwise the wire does not interfere (I have two wireless mouse and one wired Deathadder V3 which I use the most)

However these being wireless may have the same issue as the Atlantis. Hope that helps!

@@mel0nFPS ive heard about this, but if the best pro players in the world are 99% using wireless, doesn't that prove that wired vs wireless is basically a negligible difference? i'd rather just deal with the convienience of a wireless, especially since im on a laptop and move around my position often, even if i lose like 0.3 seconds of latency i dont think its going to affect much
@@phreakisop9810 If you're talking strictly technical factors wired mice are still better than wireless in terms of performance, latency and high-polling rate stability but at the end of the day pros just use whatever mouse they're comfortable with or provided with via sponsorships (this is why the GPX is so popular) Personally I just like wired mice because I've been using them for 15+ years. Now when we're talking about the DAV3 Pro and I say "There's absolutely no reason to buy the DAV3 Pro" I say that not because I think wireless mice are bad, I say that because between the two models and price to performance the DAV3 wired outclasses the DAV3 pro in every single way. I personally don't feel right promoting a mouse that's $189.99 CAD ($210.00 CAD with 4K polling dongle) when you can get a "better" version with 8k Polling rate for $89.99 CAD. At the end of the day though it comes down to the individual users preferences, and at the end of the day that's all that matters, I just try and emphasize the price to performance of each mouse I review as much as possible.
@@mel0nFPS Ofcourse, wired hs less latency, but if professional players are winning tournaments and they all use wired, it doesn't matter. And personally since i made the switch to wireless, i cant use wired. i still feel the wires getting in the way at certain angles and swipes or getting caught up. now if there suddenly were no wireless mice sure i'd go wired and i'd get used to it again. price is a factor ofcourse. also check some of the wired vs wireless tests. some of the best wireless mice are better than most wired mice out there. granted they are only higher end mice. also, new batch DAV3 pro has been fixed. the only advantage wired has is 8k polling and better coating. in all honesty 8k is not even worth the wire to me. several tests showed no difference between 4k and 8k
@@phreakisop9810 I agree with the whole polling rate thing, honestly high polling rate as a whole is still very niche as most people don't have hardware to support it rn. @@Judge_Jon The Grips were Core Pads Grips however since then I've been using the Xraypad Cicada Wing grips and the SoSpacer grips as both are much better in my opinion.
I have reviews of both of those grips on my channel if you wanna learn more!
Yo could you do a quick gaming setup vid? It'll be cool to see you're office and setup it looks clean! Also perfect video, mouse review and bad business gameplay couldnt get any better
Glad you enjoyed the review! I’ll make a setup video soon!
Should I get this over DA V3 Hyperspeed? I have 21x10cm palm
what game is that?
im a bit late, yet im planning on buying this mouse, very excited after hearing so many good things about it
Easily one of the top 5 mice of 2023 for me! Just make sure you get a bugee, I used the Pulsar eS one and it works perfectly!
I've heard people saying ergo mice are worse for micro adjustments, is that true?
Hope that helps clarify that!
will i feel a difference between 1000 and 4000hz polling rate while playing on a 165hz monitor?
Generally speaking you won't notice much of a difference with 4K or 8K polling on any refresh rate below 240hz, however high polling rate does help with input latency and it does make tracking more consistent eve if you don't see it in-game.
I did notice that my flicks did feel slightly more consistent on 4 polling @ 144zh refresh rate however that may be just a coincidence.
Hope that helps!
Were you buy the grip tapes?
Those are the corepads gripe, I got em off lethalgaminggear!
what is your hand size? i have 20x11cm hands. use a very relaxed claw. will this be alright? i am thinking between this and the vxe r1
19.07 x 12.5 inch, should be fine for the DAV3 for a relaxed claw grip. Personally speaking with your hand size I'd go for the DAV3, VXE R1 is a good mouse but it won't be ideal for your hand-size.
@mel0nFPS thanks a lot for the response! Btw how is the dav3 compared to g402 in size? As I find the g402 a bit big. Specially wide.
You got a link for that grip tape? I need that in my life
The grips are the Corepads DAV3 grips, I got them from www.lethal.gg!
I did end up swapping them for the X Raypad Cicadawing 1.0's since they preformed wayyy better, if you wanna check those out I reviewed them a while back: ua-cam.com/video/HjiaiRp8Zqo/v-deo.htmlsi=sn-jJjpRiJ4EZ3PE

Hope that helps!
wait what do u mean abt the specs of ur pc i have 3060 and 11600k would i be able to use 2k or 4k polling rate?
I have a 2600 & and 2060 and I can run the 4K polling but not the 8k. High polling rate performance is very CPU dependent so how well it works is depended on a combination of specs & what game you’re playing.
Also keep in mind to really notice a difference in 4-8k polling you need at a 240 - 360hz monitor.
With your setup 2k polling would likely work fine in most games! 2k polling is the sweet spot rn as it offers an improvement in latency etc but without as much of a CPU impact.
@@mel0nFPS how do u change the polling rate of the mouse
@@smgonlykrownz9416 via the software or the button on the bottom of the mouse!
What do you think about zowie ec1-c vs dav3?
Haven't used the EC1-C sadly, been meaning to check out Zowie's mice but haven't gotten one yet :(
You mean the scroll problem v3 have was only in wireless and there is no problem in wired ?
I want to buy the v3 but i heard have problem with scrolling dead and ...
I've only heard of a handful of v3 wired units having scroll wheel issues, my unit has been perfect!
Weird. Thank you for the review and thoughts solidified my purchase yesterday. How much was the performance impact on 8k polling for you? I run a 5700x system , though some games dont support it hence why it stutters to all hell.
Great review man really enjoyed watching it 👍👍
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
any chance you will try the new "smooth touch" version?
Brother would you recommend this or viper 8khz for claw grip medium hands

Do the v3 wired and V3 pro have similar shapes? I want to get grip tape and change the feet.
In terms of grip-tape & skates the V3 wired & v3 Pro are identical! I used an extra set of skates & grip-tape from my Pro for my V3 wired!

@@mel0nFPS thanks
I am kind of confused. The dimensions in millimeters are identical for both shells. This review sounds like the shell is completely different for the wired version.
The dimensions are identical between the two but the v3’s shape is slightly different from the v3 pro’s.
On paper the differences don’t seem that big but in hand the v3 & v3 pro feel very different!
Any idea if they take these improvements to v3 pro wireless or faker edition? Or is the faker edition like the wired one?
As far as I know Razer hasn't altered the shells of the Pro or Faker Edition, that said though future batches may be changed but we'll have to see.
@@mel0nFPS oh damn I never realized
i just kinda assumed because there was no instructions for specifically remapping the dpi button below the mouse to profile switching
it didn't give me that option to remap it in the synapse software either
I'll try to see if anyone else has had this issue then contact razer support
@@angelorafaelsanjuan3345 There is a chance that the DPI button is defective but try the instructions below and see if this fixes it. If that doesn't work I'd try factory resetting the mouse and trying again.
mysupport.razer.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1543/~/how-to-assign-a-razer-mouse-button-to-switch-profiles-in-razer-synapse-3

Let me know if this works!
I uninstalled the entire program, and all its little hydra heads and I was still able to use the same sensitivity stage profiles I customized, even though it was uninstalled. Highly recommend everyone do that. Pin this to help the people fightback against bloatware.

Completely fair, Razer Synapse is awful. Glad you enjoyed the review though!
You don’t need synapse anymore. This is my first Razer product since 2014 (largely due to the software, gross.) but this mouse has all adjustability on board. Never once downloaded software and I’m really enjoying the 8K polling

Would you prefer the DAv3 wired or the G Pro X Superlight (price aside, wired doesn't matter, and shape doesn't matter) for FPS and games like fortnite? I have 19x9 hands and play with a sort of palm fingertip hybrid where bly ring and picky are straight, but the rest are all tips. Quality video!

If you’re concerned about the wire causing issues with your aim just get a bungee, specifically the Pulsar Microbungee eS which almost completely eliminates cable-drag!
I’m using one with my Razer Cobra and it feels borderline wireless!
At the end of the day tho it really all comes down to personal preference, no mouse will be perfect for everyone, which is a good thing imo because we get to see a bunch of unique mice all around nowadays!
