I worked for a lady that lived in the path. She survived because she dove out of her wheelchair and into the closet. When she opened the closet door, she was looking outside. Half of her house was gone. I had just cleaned that house from top to bottom. She had a brand new red washer and dryer. It was gone along with all of her kitchen appliances, groceries, and a full deep freezer. In her bedroom, her hospital bed and TV and her wheelchair was not there anymore. I'm happy she survived, but I was now without a job. That tornado was one to be remembered. It was really bad. The entire neighborhood was completely demolished.i don't know how many people died but that was a sight that had me crying. Debris, sheetrock, wood and glass everywhere. There was even a car in a tree. I tried to find her after she went to the hospital but couldn't. I hope and pray she bounced back and was able to start over. I think about that Saturday after Christmas and my heart aches.
I’m shocked there weren’t more casualties. Luckily it never got our house. Knocked out a few houses near us and apt complex right across the street from us.
Yea the Moore aerial damage view was immensely more violent than the damage seen here. Not only in intensity but in the width of the damage path, as well

I heard about this one and saw some footage but the devastation imo,ranks right up there with moore,joplin and tuscaloosa!!covered many,many miles!!

I was in the ‘94 Lancaster tornado. Looks a lot like this only this appears to be on a bigger scale.
