    Hi, I used the calculator today and have a couple of questions:
    1) What lens should I put in measurements for the “Lens’ Current Close Focus,” the anamorphic? Am I using the anamorphic's close focus or what I have set it at?
    Thanks. Love the calculator.

      Bill! Just happened to see this comment, missed it last year. Hope you're well. In case this is still useful. The 'Lens' current close focus' is the minimum focus distance you're able to achieve, currently. On a cine lens this will be clearly marked. If using a variable diopter, set it to close focus and measure it from the sensor outwards.

    Nice! What size diameter rear do you use to attach the Kick to the FVD-35? Looking to order one through their Black Friday deal but not sure which to get.

    • @cinesagaltd
      @cinesagaltd  4 роки тому

      It's a third party piece. I'll drop you a line on FB about it. :)

      @@ForestCinema let us know if you need any assistance on the Misfit Kick. I believe the custom adapter used here goes to 143mm.

    looks like you are using the FVD35A...how do you keep it from bumping your filters when using the mattbox? I figure the Mattbox would have to be far enough away to cause vignetting?

    • @cinesagaltd
      @cinesagaltd  4 роки тому

      I developed a custom piece for the 35A that prevents the nose protruding. Drop me a line at info@cinesaga.com and I'll share the info. Cheers!

    Do you know if there’s a way I can use a +3 diopter with the misfit and the one tray? Even if it’s unorthodox, like putting the +3 alone in the one tray, then putting it at the front of the mattebox and adding the standard tray behind it?

    • @cinesagaltd
      @cinesagaltd  2 роки тому +1

      Good question! Sadly not as the mechanism that holds the diopter firmly in place would touch the glass. A +3 would have to go in a donut behind the matte box or some other solution!

    Would a +1 diopter work with a liner ND filter ?

    • @cinesagaltd
      @cinesagaltd  3 роки тому

      I'm not sure what you mean by 'liner ND' but yes, you can use diopters with NDs, no problem! It's certain polarisers with certain Vari NDs that has issues.

    • @al_muftah94
      @al_muftah94 3 роки тому

      @@cinesagaltd sorry I meant 4x5.65 Nd filter with diopter. Cuz I spoke to bright tangerine and they said I can’t use 4x5.65 ND with +2 & 3 diopters. So far they said +1 diopter may work & anything smaller will with their misfit pola+

    • @cinesagaltd
      @cinesagaltd  3 роки тому

      @@al_muftah94 Within the ONE tray in this video, you can use a diopter up to a +3/4, and also still use a 4x5.65 filter of any kind. Any diopter stronger like a +1 or +2 has to be used in the ONE tray on its own. I haven't covered the Pola + in this video and haven't tested that, so I'll default to them on that one! Cheers.

    How do these Diopters work on normal lenses?

    • @cinesagaltd
      @cinesagaltd  6 місяців тому +1

      Exactly the same as they do here! Think of a diopter like a single lens from a pair of reading glasses, that can be used on any lens.
