As a musician myself, I honestly feel that genshin music is highly underappreciated IMHO, there's not much deeper discussions about its beautiful music
Because some people like to play fast and are not patient so they spend a lot of money to be able to make a lot of wishes in the game. Some spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to obtain a certain character... it compensates for the people who play for free.
Music truly is a magical sound: depending on the tempo, theme, and harmony. Can completely alter your style of playing the instrument. I see woodwinds and pianos having floaty movements during softer parts. And see bold and harsh hits on steeper and sharper music

Qingce village was the most memorable part for me when I was starting genshin back then since its release. I remember climbing a cliff as Lisa (ehe) and when I reached the top I saw this amazing terraces sprawling in the horizon and a beautiful sunset, I walked closer to explore then the music kicked in and in that moment I fell in love with the game and decided to continue playing (as I was only trying out genshin that time). After almost 2 years of playing and reaching AR 60, I still find myself coming back to Qingce village once in awhile to enjoy the view, the music, let my characters rest in the tables, buy pop's tea (and brewing tea for myself), and lay back in my seat as if I were there.
Literally me with the ruin guard... WHEN THE MACHINE THING AT THEIR BACK START SPINNING I STARTED CRYING CAUSE THOSE SCARED ME ALOT Edit : I mean the two machines stuff above their shoulder when u get close to one , the back of it will spin and their eye will lit up*
Don't worry, the whales who spend their paychecks every month on the game compensate for us f2p players :^) (also orchestra composing soundtracks for video games is more common than people think)
You can hear from the quality of the music they are very serious. And seriously good too. No need to whale, just support the game and the many artists making it by giving whatever you like. Even $5 is something. :)
In my opinion, I think the F2P group should at least buy the Welkin moon if they can. I am fully aware there are millions of whales out there, but least if you are really enjoying the game just give back a bit to show your appreciation to the developers efforts

Also i'm not really supporting the predatory gacha system in the game, they're already making tons of profit thank to this no need to feel guilty ^^

They have professionals who do proft-analysis. They obviously decided that making the game free with gacha content instead outweighs paying for the game. It all depends on the game and it's style. They analyze users, potential communities, desires etc.
I grew to hate that voice line soooo hard. Like "hello I am literally from another world I can use elements without needing a vision and can switch between them, my whole team is level 70 and one guy can kill you in one auto-attack, how DARE you call a TEST SUBJECT"
Actually, with me, OST of Liyue is the best. It makes me feel very chill, relax when traveling around Teyvat. Especially the Qingce Village music, it sounds so pleasant, I usually play it at sunset in Liyue
Everyone asks where is dendro slime but no one asks how is dendro slime. Imagine the dude just vibing in the grass and the traveller starts searching for it because the music starts playing.
Their combat activation distance is so long. I didnt feel like walking over to it so I used dilucs ultimate but when i did like 15 tiny dendro slimes popped out being scorched to death

I mean, I've done band for a few years in highschool, it was fun but not like I was wanting to make a career on it, but this entire orchestration makes me want to. Everything about what they are doing and how they are doing it is crazy to watch, and usually I wouldn't really care to watch a purely instrumental session, but something about watching these videos from hoyoverse gives me a lot of respect every time I hear it in game. Best OSTs of any game

Their combat activation distance is so long. I didnt feel like walking over to it so I used dilucs ultimate but when i did like 15 tiny dendro slimes popped out being scorched to death

I mean, I've done band for a few years in highschool, it was fun but not like I was wanting to make a career on it, but this entire orchestration makes me want to. Everything about what they are doing and how they are doing it is crazy to watch, and usually I wouldn't really care to watch a purely instrumental session, but something about watching these videos from hoyoverse gives me a lot of respect every time I hear it in game. Best OSTs of any game
