He really did it
Good tutorial James. Love the Tsunamis. Tearing the LOK sound decoders out of my Scale Trains locos and replacing them with Tsunami 2’s.
Great video! I didn't know anything about these features and I'm so excited to know this news! Thanks for the video!
Great update my friend.
Great video!
Happy birthday Amtrak!!!!
Twenty Øne Meeps thank you!
Hi JLWii. I'm looking to during this virus time do some installations and programming on some older G gauge trains. They include the LGB Forney, LGB Mogul, 1:13.7 scale Forney with an Aristo-Craft Rogers chassis, and a kit-bashed Doodlebug. I was told by an expert that the Tsunami2 is a good option. I plan to use AirWire 900 controls and battery power, and the Convertr for any engines with Tsunami2. I'd need a bit more amperage on many of the locomotives, but luckily the TSU-4400 can handle 4 amps.
Loved the horn on it
SoundTraxx Stunami2 sound decoders are way in front of the others!!! Nice video. Regards Gary
ESU is magnitudes better. Better recordings, higher clarity sounds, no artifacts when notching. Best of all you can have all 6 of your GEVOs sound unique with 6 different ES44AC sound files
@@Trainmaster909 I'm about to buy decoders for all my DCC ready locomotives, and because of the sound recordings, was leaning towards the ESU version 5 decoders, but this dynamic digital exhaust sound seems to be an amazing feature in the Tsunami 2 decoder.
@@What_If_We_Tried ESU has a similar feature
All theese features are wonderful, but how can I change the loudness in a simple manner?
I've been using DCC for 7 years and love how it opens up a new world to model train operations. I do have a question though. Is there a way to program the decoder to not start the engine sound card when it 1st gets power. I have multiple engines and when they are sitting idle engines off (sound) if there's a short anywhere on the lay out all the engines restart their sound cards.
This is very annoying. Any ideas
Are you going cover the upgrades for the steam decoders?
Thanks
What CVs did you change to enable the braking feature. What is the range?
awesome thx
Do side by side comparisons. pleeassse
Are you running strictly ho scale?
how do i get the ahooga horn on tsunami horn
This a Athearn model?
What brand locomotive is that?
Do decoders have anything to do with the actual PERFORMANCE aspects of the loco (such as slow-speed capabilities), or are the differences mostly in the sounds and lights? I just ordered my first (and maybe only) Athern Genesis loco and it comes with Tsunami rather than the preferred Loksound decoder. I'm wondering if it would be worth it performance-wise, to swap it out with a Loksound decoder. This is all new to me! Thanks!
LOL this sound system is so lit
Didn't like the bell, nothing like the prototype- is that the only bell sound?
Can you do a live on here
Hi James, thanks again for the informative videos. Have you or are you able to do a review on the TCS WOW Sound decoder range...(Available from Trainworld).
Regards CJ Australia
I seriously hope that K5LH was a typo.
Western Washington Rail Productions ua-cam.com/video/K7Klc375Evg/v-deo.html at the 7:48 mark. Right on for Tier 4.
goaliegeorge That's great. I saw a sister unit a few days ago. But K5LH horns don't exist. K5HLs do. These units have second generation K5HLs.
Western Washington Rail Productions oops. You are correct. I didn’t catch that. Thank you!
Were you using your new MRC Tech 6 DCC controller?
The Rutherford WX / Middle Tennessee EAS those are junk..doesn't have a shut off when a short or derailment happens..blewout two decoder s because of that..I have the tech 6 6.0 6 amp setup..now that shuts down asap when it detects a short or derailment..
Joe Pinto what about the 2.0
The Rutherford WX / Middle Tennessee EAS that's the one I'm talking about..the 2.0 version is junk..that sucker doesn't shut down if there's a derailment or shorts..
Joe Pinto oh ok i rarely have derailments anyway I got under or at 10 mph on my layout
What CV do you program to work the F11 brake? My tsunami equiped GP40 doesn’t stop when I hit it. It just makes the sound
Also how do I active Digital Dynamic Exhaust as that isn’t working either
TurbochargedTraction Productions brakes are set in CV117 (independent) and 118 (automatic). The DDE ic calibrated for the loco using CVs 2.503, 2.504 and 2.512. The SoundTraxx UA-cam channel has these explained in more detail and how to set them.
How do you trigger cab chatter?
F7
@@Trainmaster909 got it thanks
independent and automatic brake are totally different. Independent = Engine brake (or engines), Automatic = Train (whole train including engines) brake.
alexander1485 that is correct. You can adjust the rates for each separately for more realistic operation. The SoundTraxx UA-cam channel has videos that show how they are set. T2 also has functioning Dynamic Brakes..
i'm 2nd
Ehh, what's up doc's?
This is a 94628 gen locomotive
I’m sticking to loksound for my GE locos.
mjobermeyer09
I'm sticking to Loksound for all my locos

That horn sounds like an electric guitar.
